Like many Mexican bakeries, you'll find the signature concha, a yeast raised bun encased with a buttery crust often colored to give them a bit of flare. At La Victoria, you'll find a variety of these buns alongside other goodies certainly to have you salivating! Reasonably priced, it's no surprise that you'll end up filling a bag or two with a little bit of everything to give them all a taste. You won't really go wrong with any of them unless you're not a fan of sweets. Although not overly stuffed with sugar, you will find that almost everything has a bit of sugar in it which will activate your tastebuds but possibly impact your waistline and blood sugar. Eat responsibly or be sure to have a party to share with! Situated in the bustling neighborhood, you'll find some street parking here and there but you may need to walk a block or two. Pick up with their friendly staff is fortunately very easy and quick so hopefully it can be a stop that can be included in your errand schedule. When we arrived, there were a few families making selections of bread from the display cases but aside from them, there weren't too many patrons inside. They don't have much seating and most customers seem to come and go, bag of goodies in hand as they left. We ended up getting an assortment and before pictures were taken, some were consumed in the car ride home. One distinct one we got was in the shape and color of a pumpkin. Cute and creative! The crunchy crust had a good texture upon biting in and the bread was pretty good. It was a bit dryer than I'd liked but paired well with coffee or milk. Overall, La Victoria seems like a great place to stock up on breakfast buns or desserts for the week as busy professionals may not have the time or energy to prepare a more elaborate meal in the mornings. It's great for bulk purchases for office meetings, potlucks and parties. The prices are reasonable and its mom and pop feel makes it a great representation of the working families and community members living in this area - definitely a place to continue supporting!

I inquired about a cake and for party wise and transportation reasons coupled with the fact it's Covid-19 and I wanted my cake infused with ETOH (alcohol) the owner suggested I get cupcakes . Ok, yes makes sense. Super sweet and miss mama knows what she's doing. She didn't steer me wrong at all. I put in my order 12 vanilla infused with vodka & 12 chocolate infused with Hennessy. I paid my bill and didn't leave empty handed. My 13 year old daughter picked out three of their beautiful cupcakes and love 'em. Upon pick-up for 12pm on celebration day. The baker Symone or maybe it was Shadieja was present and said my order just finished on time and brought it right out. What an amazing experience here. My mom's nickname is "pacita" but Nooo no.. she does not own the this place and she does not work there either. I will say this, it's delicious. One of the best spots for true Salvadoran sweet bread and pastry. The line can be long at times but well worth it. They have faithful customers, my family and myself included, It's our go to. The best part is that a lot of what they have is affordable, not too expensive. They also have other cooked goods such as tamales, chorizo and sour cream from El Salvador. I walked in and grabbed a tray and a pair of tongs, started adding things. I like how it's a hands-on experience with the tongs, rather than waiting in a line with only one person serve, served at a time. The prices are very reasonable, they have a variety of conchas! The space was very clean, everybody was using tongs so all the food was good too. The conchas are really good, especially if you have them with coffee. I highly recommend visiting and supporting a local business!
