Sugar would get everywhere and you would soon be a sticky mess. Saving them for later would be a tragedy, since apple cider donuts are so much better when they are warm. It's a rare treat to get warm cider donuts. As Otis said, these are decidedly more aggressive on the spicing. I tasted not just cinnamon, but also nutmeg. Are they worth an hour drive? Probably not.
