Half a bowl They forgot the salmon What a rip Off They don't tape the bowls like other restaurants in the area Since I bought it thru grubhub Sweetgreen will not reimburse read more

The ingredients themselves and the salads are as you expect, very solid and good. The issue here is the couple of times I've come it's just severely understaffed and poorly run so the waits are insanely long. Even people who have ordered ahead were waiting at least 15 minutes+ to grab their orders. My last visit was 45 minutes, sunk cost fallacy had me staying in line. There's usually just 1 person serving the line, maybe one person dealing with people who've ordered ahead and one or two others that are prepping ingredients. This most recent visit they were out of cucumbers and a couple of other ingredients. With the light staffing it also meant the seating area is about as well maintained and cleaned as prior patrons have done themselves. If you're used to the locations in the city and the efficiency you see there, this is not it. The employees have no sense of urgency and stop to chit chat with each other in between swapping gloves which just adds to the time it takes to serve each customer. read more

Ordered a "create your own" salad with salmon, arugula, quinoa, pickled onions, fried onions, and cucumber (dressing on the side). The salmon was a bit overcooked and dry, but still pretty good. The salad was fresh and I particularly loved the caesar dressing because most places don't really use anchovy in the dressing. Will definitely order again! read more

This place absolutely sucks! The service is extremely slow and you wait on an unreasonably long line to hear that they are "out" of ingredients. The food is also wildly incinsistent. read more

Food is delicious, but for what you pay, portions are super skimpy, consistently. Please be a bit more generous!

Very poorly run. They prepare mobile orders while the in store line grows longer and longer. They run out of bread and dressing. They are woefully understaffed and the service is glacial. Ordering on the mobile app is iffy at best. The upside is less wait, but the down side is missing ingredients and skimpy portions. I like the good but it's not worth it. read more

This place gave me such a headache I literally got YELP just to see if I was the only one. The food is fine, with most locations but this location (Scarsdale) is severely understaffed or something. Just for one singular bowl it took about 40 minutes after the eta. None of the workers was even trying to recognize everyone waiting. Maybe every 5 minutes someone's online order came out. read more

Service and ambiance were no issue. However, I am sad to say that Sweetgreen has certainly lost its touch from what I remember. I have been eating sweetgreen for nearly 8yrs now, but sadly my favorite spot in BK closed, so I was happy to find this spot a short drive from the BX. The Crispy Rice Bowl was really lacking flavor and maybe a bit of salt to bring it all together. My salad was dressed (medium) with their spicy cashew dressing- no spice, not all that creamy either, surprisingly for Cashew dressing. I will try them at least once more to rule them out forever. My husband had the bbq chicken plate, and reported the same issue- lack of flavor, from the chicken, bbq sauce and veggies read more

Was honestly really gross. My bowl had a whole half of an avocado just plopped in it and it was black all over. I couldn't believe they actually thought it was ok to put that in the bowl. The chicken was so bad too. It was fatty and grey colored omg really bad ingredients not fresh. You can tell they do not care about quality at all. Such a waste of money. Edit: The company did reach out to me via email and make the situation right. I am very appreciative of that. I am editing this because good customer service is nearly impossible to come by these days. Matter of fact, any customer service. So, given the fact that the company reached out and is striving to fix their mistakes and make the quality better goes a long way for me. I would be willing to try sweet green again in the future simply because of this. read more

I've noticed a decline. Or maybe it was never good. I've delayed writing a review because to be fair I've complained a few times and gotten good results from customer service but not I don't even want a discount or free salad. Most days I have to wait for my pickup order even though I get an email stating it's ready. Half the time something is missing. Sometimes the ingredients aren't fresh but today they were extra unfresh. My bread was straight up stainless. The dressing was inedible and congealed. The cauliflower tastes sour and nasty and the rice was HARD as a rock. This was for a $20 salad with no meat. read more

This location has been open now for over a year. I'm used to going to sweet green in the city and everything here is mostly the same. The difference seems to be in the online ordering, i have found that its inconsistent. Most times the order takes a lot longer than the app said. Other times i regret not ordering in person because it would be a lot faster. Outside of those service issues, i havent had issues with the food. Its consistent (and expensive). I havent found an alternate quick salad place in the area, so for now ill fill my salad cravings here. read more

Visit # 2 was similar to visit # 1 but with other issues having nothing to do with the excellent salads that they offer. We walked in to order salads and there were about 10 customers waiting for their on-line orders. Not a lot of smiles. We got our orders in about 15 minutes from a salad maker devoid of a smile or any warmth. We sat outside as the weather was nice. I paid with a credit card but couldn't approve it despite many attempts. The cashier directed me to buttons that only added a tip. 15% added for substandard service? WTF??? The other buttons simply did not work. Meanwhile a woman was trying to cancel an order as she was tired of waiting. The SG team said she couldn't cancel the order and there was a verbal dispute at the register. There was disharmony between co-workers on the salad prep line- employee bickering. We sat outside and ate our salads as customers arrived to pick up their on-line orders. The problem was that one of the workers locked the doors at 7:35pm. Customers couldn't get in or get out until am employee unlocked the door. Customers were exasperated. The website says this location is open until either 8pm or 9pm and the doors were locked at 7:35pm? I find it so sad that Sweetgreen has a winning formula. Exotic, healthy greens brought to Scarsdale from all corners of the country- see the blackboard that details this. There is strong demand from an affluent clientele but there is either insufficient or poorly trained workers to piece the salads together. The workers seem disgruntled and unhappy to be there. Sad. By the way- the stores location on the SW website is listed as Vernon Hills? Vernon Hills is the name of the shopping center not the town. Every other location on the website is a town? It looks like Sweetgreen has expanded too far too fast as there are at least 1,000 open positions on the SG website. read more

Appreciate the food and quality of service here! Kayo was an amazing help. Grubhub gave me a hard time about my food being sent to another location which accidentally happened. I went in to ask if they could make me my salad since it was sent to the wrong location and Kayo was quick and attentive. She made the salad perfectly and I left happy. I had the best bowl there on Thursday! The food was fresh, delicious and the service was great! I'll be eating there once a week for sure!

I recently became a sweetgreen convert. I never loved the idea of $15 for a salad, but once you try it you get it. Everything is so fresh. No matter what element you get (chicken, fish, wild rice, miso roasted vegetables, sweet potatoes, etc etc etc), the flavor is great and cooked to perfection. So I'm thrilled there's this new location in the area! Came for the soft opening (a *free* meal!) and was happy to see the food was expectedly delicious and the service friendly! Welcome to neighborhood, sweetgreen! read more

Worst customer service possible. I didn't even finish my order because of how Rude the man was. It seemed like he was in charge, which is even worse. Totally belittling me because I didn't order two salads at the same time. Obviously he didn't want to have walk back 20 feet again. I canceled the rest of my order and took what was made. Never experienced anything like this at the NYC locations!! read more

Some of the rudest employees I have ever met. I asked for "some" corn, "some" onions, "some", etc. just as a phrase not because I was restricting them on the amount they were portioning out for me. The employee became extremely rude and said to stop asking for "some" food because they can't give me specific portions. I then asked for a side of the dressing and that same employee completely ignored me. When I repeated myself because I genuinely thought he didn't hear me, he looked at me and said he heard me the first time but didn't respond because he was "focusing" on chopping up my salad. If you have anxiety with ordering, I definitely don't recommend coming to this location. read more

Sweetgreen has always been in my periphery, but never a place I had tried out for myself. I had always been curious, but they were never in locations that were easy for me to get to and there were other spots that were in more of an arm's reach for me. I was doing some holiday shopping the other day in Scarsdale when I was looking for lunch - I noticed there was a Sweetgreen right in the shopping center where I was browsing, so I took it as a sign and decided to check it out. Sweetgreen reminds me of other quick-service casual spots I've been to: it's a counter service spot that serves up fast-casual fare. The star of the menu are greens and grains, and they have a number of bowl options with various flavor combinations. Additionally, you can create your own bowl or salad if you're looking to customize. I wasn't in an adventurous mood, so I decided to go with their Chicken Pesto Parm bowl. The bowl contained quinoa, spinach, broccoli, tomato, breadcrumbs, chicken, parmesan, pesto, and hot sauce. The bowl was pretty good, I thought the whole spinach leaves made it a little sloppy to handle, but overall the flavors worked well. Service was good - the place was large so even though you can easily take your meal to go, they have seating if you would rather stay. Overall, I thought Sweetgreen was just fine - I didn't find it better than their competitors, but also not worse. This won't be the cheapest meal you'll have, but the variety of quality of the food make it worth checking out. read more

Ya know... I used to not be able to eat here or any salad/bowl places for that matter.... but then... I hit the NY Lottery! $700 million!!!! Now I can't eat here all the time!!! No, in all honesty the prices here are steep... but thats just the nature of the beast. In my experience, especially in the NYC metro area, ALL salad places are expensive. Like, why don't we go spend $6 at Stop and Shop on the ingredients? Anyways, I felt the service here was actually very good and my "Chicken Pesto Parm" bowl was delicious. The next time I win some money gambling, I'll definitely be back! read more

I downloaded and ordered on the app thinking that my food would be ready by the time I arrived. Instead I had to wait almost 30 minutes while I saw walk in customers being served one after the other. It seems like online orders get made in the back and take forever. The cashier was very nice and tried to help, but obviously their system and process itself is not working. My salad had way more dressing than needed or requested and was very salty. Also a lime wedge was tossed into the salad. The price is also expensive considering the taste is not good. read more

Food choices are fresh. Whether you Create your own or buy one of their menu choices, it will end up costing an arm and a leg. We ordered 2 salads off the menu and 2 drinks ended up being $40. And I saw they charge $2.50 for a slice of bread. This is highway robbery. Salads were made quickly. We ate outside so that was nice. Won't be going back because of the pricing. Not sure if the high prices were due to the location in Scarsdale, NY but it really hurts to pay that much for 2 salads! Ouch! read more

it was my first time at Sweetgreen. Nico, my server , was great! Friendly and courteous.

I was ordering a salad one day and the girl with braces, I think she said her name was Autumn. She was extremely kind and welcoming. A few moments later her manager walks in and she was short, Hispanic, and skinny. She starts humiliating Autumn out in the open, for customers to hear. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for my people (I'm Black and Mexican), but her demeanor felt out of character and disrespectful. So she really brought down the vibe of the room and the morale of the people. I hope Autumn's okay though. read more

Much needed lunch spot in the area. Yes, salads are a bit pricey but fresh ingredients, they are not skimpy with the portions and most important they are full of flavor. I highly recommend! They have a wide variety of options too. The lines can be long but move quickly. The harvest bowl is my go-to! I'm so glad to have sweetgreen in the area :) read more

Stood in line for 15 minutes and there were 6 people in front of us. Operation was hard to watch, completely inefficient. 7 people behind the line couldn't get orders put together. Once I did get my salad, it looked like it had been in the trash for a couple of days and didn't have any chicken. Had to go back for that. This used to be a great store, not sure what happened. Staff was nice and apologized for the wait and said they appreciated our patience. Not doing that again though. read more

First time trying last night thru Uber Eats. I ordered the sweet potatoes and the Brussels sprouts and chicken. The potatoes were good but I didn't like Green goddess ranch. The Brussels sprouts were cut very thin and there was no chicken in it. The Miso sesame dressing was spicy which I didn't know so that I tossed. The bag should've been sealed somehow as well. Not sure if I'd bother trying again. read more

I wanted to leave zero stars, but that's not an option on Yelp unfortunately. I placed an order online and arrived 30 minutes later to the food still not being ready. Mind you, I already came 10 minutes after the estimated pick-up time so the food not being ready was a little annoying already. Service also needs improvement. Customers were not acknowledged when waiting in line and hardly any status updates on online orders were provided. I've currently been waiting 30 minutes in-store and my order is not ready. Would not recommend this location! It should not take over an hour for a fast food-esque spot. read more
