Wow, we have been on a roll with finding some great local places near our new digs in the Couve! So glad to find a quality "fancier" bakery (but not stuffy or pretentious!) nearby AND the have lots of seating & tables inside if you want to lounge about and enjoy your coffee and/or treats there...AND they are open late! Because the craving for a delectable fancy dessert often strikes me well after the hour that other bakeries are closed and, while I do love to bake, by that time I am not going to be whipping up something myself, either. They have a dizzying array of baked goods from elaborate cakes & desserts to cookies and even a couple savory baked items. Most of their items had signs on them w/prices, but a few did not & the young lady working was happy to answer our questions about what the unmarked delights were. Their prices were pretty good compared to other fancy-pants bakeries (places with more than just the basics). We tried 2 different desserts (sorry, I don't recall their names), both were scrumptious & their coffee was very good, too. They are located next to & connected to the Svitoch deli/market, so mosey over next door & check out their goods, too. (I'll review them later once we have tried the items we purchased there.) You might only notice the Svitoch sign out front as the bakery portion currently just has a printed sign hanging up. First off I had to park down by the Ross and re-map to find this place. I was totally confused and thought maybe this place has shut down. When I zoomed in on maps on my phone, and had seen that it's next to a salon. I assumed ok, it's not close and we are very close. I drove slowly back in the direction I originally came from, and found the salon and the bakery! Oh geez what a trip to find it. Y'all they had the smallest, fine print sign made for the place, and the bakery is all blacked out from the outside. The sign is black and white. I think if they had placed it on the windows first timers like us would find it more easily. Ok enough of the exterior. They had a plethora of sweets, macarons, cheese cake, peach cookies, cakes, bread with sausage (we call them kolaches in the south), coffee, and a few meal items. They were OK, but glad they're not too sweet. Will come back to try some macarons. We enjoyed our dessert inside, but didn't have anything to wash it down with. There aren't any kid friendly drinks there unless you're wanting hot chocolate. But, maybe small bottles of milk, or even bottled water would have been nice to be able to purchase. But what happened is I asked for some pastries with latte and the answer " no more coffee " ironically the old lady was actually making coffee and when I asked how come the answer was " the one she's making is the last one and no more " so I was like no need to get the pastry then since as far as I know they go together! read more

Amazing service and such sweet staff. One of the best and most clean bakeries I've ever been in, and come to find out they also serve tons of drinks and meals as well. So very disappointed after looking at the beautiful pastries and deciding what we wanted to have there and maybe take home to be presented with a server with no mask on. When I asked about a mask she stated she did not have to wear one. I spoke to another employee who was wearing a mask and apparently masks are not required in this place of business. So neither I nor anyone I know will be going there . It is one thing to choose not to wear a mask on your personal time but when serving food to people you need to put their safety above your own preference. read more

I figured I'd give this a try after seeing it around for a few years. The selection is quite large and everything looks delicious (and expensive). It's not the mildly sweet Asian desserts, you can expect a sugar crash after eating this type of food. Parking is sufficient, but self service when it comes to eating and cleaning. Visiting a friend in Vancouver and wanted to get some good coffee. Found this place on google maps near my friend's house and it does live up to the reviews. It's an unassuming strip mall location but they've done a great job making it a cozy little place. This place is cute and quaint and reminds me of my days in Pittsburgh. The coffee is very yummy and they have a huge selection of food. I had a smoked salmon pastry and it was perfect. The prices are fair, and not overly expensive. The seating area is nice and cozy and it really does have a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

They may seem friendly when you walk in and tell you they'll be right with you, just know that it's not always going to end that way. Been here on multiple occasions. There are two types of Peach Cookies at Sweet Touch. One dark. One light. Both are almost too beautiful to eat ... so don't ... and start with a Chocolate Tulip or Berry Meringue. Too sweet? Today I ordered a lavender latte and white chocolate raspberry crepe and my wifey ordered an egg and cheese crepe. Both are very good. You can tell they make their food with fresh ingredients. I ordered 2 tiramisus and both of them are frozen, literally all ice so I let them melt and it didn't taste good. It happened to me in the past but just once. We went in, our first time for bread and discovered a bakery wonderland. It was a hard decision but picked the Challah bread loaf with raisins, caramel brownies and wished we had time for a coffee. From Russia with Sweet it seemed like as the Challah was light and airy like cotton candy. Brownies not to sweet but lots of caramel. It was a surprise find, right next to total wine, the reason for the stop; bread and wine going to dinner at a friends house. The whole experience was memorable and we cannot wait for an excuse to go back sadly we live 124 miles north by crow. The escape take a little longer. Super chill atmosphere, only three ladies working most of the time but it's not a place you go when you're rushed, so the slightly longer wait times aren't a big deal. They don't speak the best English, but definitely enough to know what you want. I've been coming up from Portland and buying slices of traditional Russian cakes from Sweet Touch for a few weeks now and bringing them to my friends and family for all of us to sample and each treat has been superb! Their cakes aren't terribly sweet and are so moist! The list has included; Bird's Cake, Golden Dom, Honey Cake, Pavlova, Peach shaped pastry, Spartak, Kolokola, and my very favorite Kutuzov!! I just want to share my experience with Sweet Touch cafe in Vancouver, Washington. Several days ago I placed an order for 2 8 inch cakes - one Napoleon and one Monastirskaya izba. Today, when I came to pick them up, they were both in their cake boxes and ready to go. Typically they show me the cake before I leave, but this time they did not an I was okay with it Becuase I've never had issues in the past. When I opened the box at home, the cakes were not even close to 8 inches. When I called them back and asked about why the cakes are small, they said they just cut a piece from the display case cake. I reminded them that I placed an order for a specific custom cake a few days ago and they didn't say anything...They we're not polite at ALL!!! No one else was on duty to help or fix the issue. By the way, both cakes taste terrible and are not fresh at all. Now, for me and my friends, this will be the last time we order a cake from Sweet Touch. You need to learn how to better treat your customers and make sure they are satisfied, especially if it's a long time customer. read more
