    Carmel macchiato cold coffee
    Aaron A.

I visited today, and they were absolutely slammed because of the daffodil festival. Extremely fast and pleasant service. The mini Oreo cheesecake was a favorite, we would return for desserts! The Carmel cold brew coffee was a bit sweet for our taste but still was still good.

Tuna melt with mystery sauce( for the sweet potato fries, so you won't get the same cold look for asking).

The waitress was NOT very friendly at all. You would think with all the Christian music playing that would not be so. I asked if the sweet potato fries went with the sauce that they added to the table and she gave me the most unkind sarcastic smile and said a rather exasperated "yes". Disappointing and frankly uncalled for, I tipped 18% despite not wanting to tip at all. When I apologized for disturbing her with such a question, she did not even acknowledge it. There is a certain warmness lacking here. It's too bad because the food was good. Hebrews 13:2.

The service was exceptional and the food even better. The portions were big that we had to bring them home. Visiting from Chicago. We shall return to come and visit again.

Excellent lunch today. Service as always was fast and friendly. Today's special Tomato Pesto grilled cheese was delicious.

I left my home in search of something different. I knew I wanted a delicious dessert but other than that I had no clue....what I stumbled upon was something that more than satisfied my sweet tooth it truly filled my heart and soul. I had no idea that quite literally God led me exactly where I needed to go. The food was delicious, the service was great but it was the environment that made it exceptional. A place serving God by serving others. If you haven't been to this quaint little place in Gloucester Court House you are truly missing something more than delicious food. I can't remember the last time I left a place that fed my body, mind and spirit. Truly grateful that I was led to a wonderful meal in a place that satisfied far more than my sweet tooth. A new favorite with some great fall coffees sure to warm you like a fall bon fire.

Nice to have an ice cream shop on main to grab some treats for the kids while we are on a walk.

My absolute favorite place!! I've been coming here since they were first open (at the past…read morelocation) and only have nice things to say about this establishment. My friend adopted a kitten (about a year ago) and had 0 issues with the process, health of the cat, and an overall amazing experience. The baby is now all grown up and probably the sweetest cat I've ever known. You can also tell the employees and owners care about these cats so much, they know every cat's name, trait, and things they like and don't like. I was also in the cafe near closing and the owner and one of the employee let me and my friend feed some of the cats treats in the back room even though they were 5 minutes from closing time. They have an amazing variety of all different kinds of kitties and it's so cool to see them interact with each other in such a relaxed, peaceful environment. They also offer refreshments, merchandise, and activities that have definitely improved and keep getting better every time I come back. I have been to some other cat cafes across the water and even 1 in a different state and this one takes the cake, hands down. Thank you to the owner and employees for giving these fur angels the proper care they deserve all while looking for their forever homes. If you have the time, definitely come visit, and if you are looking to adopt this is the place.

The ambience and decor were really nice. There were countless beds, hiding spots, climbing objects, scratching posts, etc. The chairs and couches were comfortable for humans as well and they offer games and activities. It's a wonderful cause, very special, and quite an affordable activity. We spent about $22 to visit and play with the kitties, and the funds go towards keeping them out of cages/shelters, warm, and safe. This is also a great option if you're looking to adopt since you can really spend time with the kitties and get to know them as a potential family member. I can't wait to go back!

Back in town for JeepFest & our hotel's breakfast wasn't all that so when I mentioned to bestie…read morethat I would be hunting down a pastry while her and my godson were on their first beach cruise Saturday morning she asked me to wait so they could join me. I already knew this was my destination as I had been following them since they opened in VB. Upon our arrival we found the Cafe about a 1/4th of the way full so I had hopes for breakfast in a quiet setting. Even though there was a steady flow of traffic, we were able to dine in a relaxed setting without feeling rushed. I mention this because with it being a holiday weekend full of Jeepers, I fully expected them to be packed. The wait to order was too long as it left me staring at the pastry window so long I almost ordered one of everything however; I refrained from doing so but still bought 4 pastries, French toast & seasoned potatoes. Yes yes, alot of food for 1 person but I still had 2 days left in my visit and well, I have a thing for pastries. The pastries were: mango & passion fruit eclair, a pineapple muffin, lemon raspberry cake & profiteroles. I loved everything with the exception of the eclair. It wasn't anything against the eclair, it's just the mango/passionfruit mixture was just too passionate for my tastes. The muffin reminded me of my own homemade upside pineapple cake without all the brown sugar. It was light and buttery. The Lemon raspberry slice was delightful & not the least bit tart or too sweet. A mixture of both flavors without either one overpowering the other. The cake was super moist, perfect. The profiteroles were my favorite. They reminded me of that feeling I had the 1st time I tasted them while living in Italy. The choux perfectly baked and so delightfully light. The French toast was good enough without the side of syrup. The star for me of the breakfast items were the potatoes. I LOVED them. They were served HOT, seasoned just right with their insides softer that a baby bottom. I coulda just ordered 2 servings of those & bypassed the toast. All in all, well worth the wait. The folks were friendly, the Cafe clean and the seating plentiful and comfortable. I would recommend this place for both pastries & French toast & spuds.
