So I was looking for lunch since it was late and decided to pull into timber pizza. Those guys were closed till 4:00 p.m. ... Eff it, 7-Eleven was less than a football field away, I'll hoof it over there for a hot dog and walk back to my car to eat my "lunch" I see the sign that says SWEET STUFF and I says to myself that I do want some sweet stuff after a good old hot dog but I realize this place also serves stuff that's not sweet. After looking through a good amount of options, I settled on some carne asada. bom bom It was a little bit of seating inside by the windows but theys also has a nice shaded outdoor area to be able to enjoy the yummy food. 10 out of 10. Will definitely stop back here if I'm working in the area. I can see this place as prime location for an after hours spot but this is really the best for the impromptu lunch read more

Really popular amongst locals and I can see why. Great service, very friendly. Wide variety of healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack options. Everything here is good. Very accommodating if you dont eat meat, and plenty of meat options of you do. Really liked this place and when I am in the area I will stop in again. Very cute patio for eating outside. read more

Sweet Stuff - A fucking hair the prices are already way to high for you to be leaving hairs in the food like come on man - Bakeries Near Me - McLean, Virginia

Cute little spot hidden in an office complex. Team is always pleasant. Love their quiches, cappuccinos, and cupcakes!

Best pastries in McLean. Love their coffees and sandwiches too. Their staff is super friendly and knowledgeable.

Was looking for a store open before 10 am before going to difficult run trail. This place came up on yelp. It's a small deli style store with fresh press juices, coffee, croissant with multiple fillings, sandwiches and panini, bakery goods, froyo machines and multiple normal convent store things. Got two crossaints ham and cheese and chocolate. They offered to heat it up in either microwave or grill. We choose grill. Yummy! I got a skinny vanilla latte and my friend got fresh pressed Apple and orange juice made from two apples and one orange. It tasted so fresh and was great charge before the hike. read more

Let me just say that this use to be one of my favourite sandwich shops. When I lived around the corner I would go here regularly and when I moved I rave about this place to my husband. So when I finally had a chance to take him over the holidays I was so excited, I have never been so disappointed. I don't know what happened to this place, new owners...but I'm struggling to even give this place a one. My husband and I both ordered The Scottish, which is smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers serves on a fench baguette. First off the baguette was old, not like hours old but a day old. My jaw got tired trying to chew and I only finished half after pulling off some of the harder chunks of bread. They skimped on the cream cheese, onions and capers. You couldn't taste anything besides the day old bread. My sister in law got a mixed fruit tart. Upon closer inspection we could see why they dusted it with powdered sugar. The fruit was dries out completely and looked stale. The slice of kiwi looked like it had been through a dehydrator. Not at all what you expect from a FRESH fruit tart. My husband also got a chocolate croissant, which wasn't even a croissant but more a loaf with some chocolate chips that were not even melted on the inside. You would think once you bake something it would melt, but the loaf was so big that chips just stayed whole. Please save your money and try another place. There are a lot of wonderful bakeries and little takeout spots in McLean...this sadly isn't one of them anymore. read more

On our drive to the entrance to Great Falls Park, we realised the cafe on the park grounds only opened till 4pm, so we had to turn around looking for hiking snack and basically ended up here. - Egg salad sandwich: good bread apparently baked fresh every morning, good egg salad. Nothing to fault here. - Chocolate croissant: good but no great. We would have liked it more moist with a bit more chocolate filling. Instead it was a tiny bit too doughy. All in all, we would stop here again if we were around. read more

Full disclosure; I haven't been here since I was a little kid! I'm 31 now, but my mom used to bring me here before we moved away from McClean when I was about to enter 4th grade! I have fond memories of coming here with my mom on the weekends and ordering a cinnamon bun (I believe it was a brioche bun) and devouring it! I randomly googled it and am so happy that Sweet Stuff is still around! The awning is even still the same, which makes me happy because it matches my memories! I sent a screenshot of the photos to my mom and she was thrilled, too! I live in Colorado now, but I hope to make it back to the area one day for a visit and I'll be sure to stop by and order my favorite cinnamon bun! read more

I know this place for last 14 years I love this spot Lisa been there for years and she is so nice and warm I feel special every time I go there , Thanks for the quality stuff and friendly Atmosphere read more

The owner, Lisa, is probably the nicest person you will ever meet. This is a great place to stop to get some coffee, candy or cakes and sandwiches. I used to stop here regularly and get a baguette sandwich with ham and cheese. I don't know what it is about this bread, but I LOVE their baguettes - really crispy and fresh and satisfying crunch when you bite into it. One of my favorite sandwiches in the world. Parking can be a pain sometimes - trucks tend to park along the side of the back of the parking lot making pulling out difficult, and everyone wants to go to 711 so the lot itself can be a zoo. There is now a strip mall next door which hopefully eases pressure on the parking there. This cute little place is a nice complement to the 7-11 when you want super friendly service and high quality lunch sandwich! read more

A bonafide Spring Hill/McLean staple. Been coming here to see Lisa and to get a sandwich for over 12 years. Italian on baguette is always a good choice, as are any of the breakfast muffins or pastries. Bonus points for a great little patio. read more

Good coffee, a little pricey but very sweet staff. Cute inside with many options and types of coffee and various drinks. read more

Every morning I come in an get the best cup of coffee in Vienna, and some form of breakfast sweet. The service is great, the food is even better, and the coffee is the best. Don't expect light-speed service... all good things take time. It can get a little busy between 6:45-7:30, so plan ahead. The store also carries an assortment of things for you to take for lunch (pre-made salads, sandwiches, etc), and an assortment of candy bars and sweets. I recommend to any/all in the area to try this instead of the 7-11 next store. Not only are you supporting local business, but you're doing your palate a favor :) read more

Everything is so good here. Fantastic sandwiches. The breads are so fresh. Noticeably fresh. Service is fantastic. Just love this place. I wish I live closer so I can come more often. read more

Poor service, I got the chicken panini was not the greatest and also the steak plate was bad, the tortillas were hard and the steak was chewy. Don't recommend anybody to come here! read more

All the positive reviews have me confused. Okay so I didn't get a panini or meaty sandwich but I came in the morning for an egg & cheese bagel and a large latte. The egg is fake. You know, the microwaved frozen yellow stuff. If a place prides itself on quality bread & meat, why skimp on egg? The latte was okay, too hot & no sleeves. Even with a doubled up cup, my fingers were burning. The 2 stars were for the nice worker who made my sandwich. 1 star for the cute outdoor patio seating area. I won't be coming here again. read more

Awful cafe. We walked into the cafe and at the counter they had samples of a variety of croissants. As I nearly reached in to pick a sample, I discovered that they were all infected with fleas. We ordered a chicken panini and a vegetable panini (which isn't something on their menu) as well as a kiwi smoothie. The kiwi smoothie was just okay, but it only seemed that she added crush ice and sliced kiwi - not very inventive, I'd have to say. The chicken panini came out and as I took a bite, I knew something wasn't right. I examined the chicken. It was some fake, artificial preservative chicken monstrosity (even by subway chicken standards). I took the sandwich over to the counter and asked what this was. She mentioned that it came from "the company" and I asked if it was frozen and processed - and she agreed. What amazed me was the traffic in and out of this place. How is this possible? One thing is sure - I will probably not be coming back. read more

Actually, I might not be the right person to write this review, because when I arrived they were already closed. But, there they were kinda friendly they let me purchase. I got some apple tart, which was one of the best i've had so far, and some regular coffee! Coffee was pretty got. But something that inspired me to go again was their friendliness. They are not Starbucks employee who've been told to say "Hi." They greet you because they like you and want to see you again!! read more

Simply the best place for lunch, they have the best panini's in the area! Outstanding customer service, great atmosphere, & a beautiful area to eat outside. Seriously I stop every time I am in area, it's that good. read more

Ive been going here my entire life- love the owners & the sandwiches when I am 'on the go.' Soft serve is delicious and highly recommended!

Very good sandwiches breakfast and lunch.Bakery. As well. There is a nice patio area that makes stopping here nice kind of a kitchen

You probably wouldn't go here unless you live in the immediate area, but if you are near tysons 2 or in mclean, stop by here! They have the best paninis. The baguettes are worth the drive. When it's warm out they have a sweet little patio area to hang out on. read more

Best paninis in the entire nova area -- no oil on the bread! Also great selection of organic food recently.

Stopped by here for lunch because the yelp reviews were so positive. I was a bit disappointed with my meal. The chicken panini was made with something that was supposed to resemble chicken. It didn't even look like real chicken. I'm guessing it had a lot of preservatives etc in it. Definitely not fresh. I also ordered the apple croissant which was good. There is an outdoor seating area which is super cute. Probably won't come back as quality of items varies greatly ie. High quality bread but low quality meat. read more

This is a little out-of-the-way place located in McLean. About a mile from the Tyson Galleria down Spring Hill Road. Anyways, they make the greatest sandwiches and paninis I have ever had. They also have the high-end desserts like flans and eclairs. If you are ever near tysons, check it out. read more

This looks like a little hole in the wall, but it was actually started by the same family who started sweet leaf. Their sandwiches overlap with the same ones as sweetleaf, but they don't have the massive line that sweet leaf does. Also, you can pick up fresh berries, baguettes, and other yummy household staples here that are super fresh! Theres also this adorable little outdoor area with birds and beautiful plants that make eating there a delight read more

Stopped here on the long way home after biking the C&O Canal. Great reviews lead me to Sweet Stuff and I was not disappointed. A great Italian sandwich on baguette and a grilled chicken panini! Quick service from a little nondescript store. I will come back again when rolling through this part of NOVA. read more

Great-delicious chicken Caesar. Nice people. Always something new to try

I had the dominion. The bread was fresh and the ingredients were good. Not a very good value though, there was not very much meat on the sandwich and overall it was not very filling. read more

This place is so quirky and authentic! It has tons of fresh produce and their sandwiches are always on point. I love how they carry brands that are popular in Europe or are just not very common around here, it's very unique! They always have yummy free samples, a nice staff, and the service is quick. There's also a patio outside that's a really nice place to sit and eat, especially in the springtime. Their frozen yogurt is very fresh and delicious, and the toppings range from tropical fruit to m&ms to Oreos! Great place! read more
