I have used this bakery for the last 9 years and the service and cakes have only gotten worse over the years. I honestly try to support small local businesses but I have finally given up on this place. My first cake from them was for my wedding which was great! Next were a couple of birthday cakes which were overpriced and at best average, this last cake was my anniversary cake. The cake was 3 hours late, overpriced, and burnt! Management did not even attempt to make any wrongs right, but did apologize. I'm so disappointed at what this place has become and will not be back. If I could give a 0 I absolutely would. I paid $950 for my wedding cake plus $150 deposit for the silver cake plate. I had a 3 tier cake. It was crooked and so slanted we were worried it would slide apart. They showed up to the venue with out the cake plate they had already charged us a deposit for. Upon bringing it back they dropped the plate and dented it. When we returned the plate they told us they could not refund us cause it was damaged. I showed her photos from before the wedding showing the slanted cake and the damage on the plate. She then ignored my phone calls and e-mails and refused to return my money for the deposit. On top of the crooked cake and the cake plate issue the cake tasted stale. If you're a bride I encourage you to NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! The owner comes off nice but she's a crook and her product and customer service is absolutely awful. So bad idk which is worse. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place!! I have been a fan of their cakes for over 6 years. The almond cake w/butter cream frosting is MY FAVORITE!! On a side note: I ordered a sweet sixteen cake for my daughter and my hubby thought it would be a great idea to ride with the convertible top down (wind plus 90+ degree heat) and it destroyed my baby's cake. People keep telling me about this place, so I gave it a try; twice. The first time was around Mardi Gras and I got a king cake. It was so so. I took my son there for cupcakes this week and was even less impressed. They're more of a cake supply store than a bakery. The cupcakes tasted like box mix and the strawberry filling tasted like toothpaste. Also, the lady who worked there grew impatient with my autistic son and walked away because we hadn't made a decision yet. It was overpriced for what we got and the service was lacking. I spent $993.18 on a 3 tier wedding cake with 3 small roses and lace around each layer, and a 14" square grooms cake. They came the day of my wedding. Saturday. Wedding cake not decorated and all lace had very noticeable seams on each layer. The cake tasted old and was very dense. The fondant was 1/4 thick the icing under it was like crisp with sand and very thick. The grooms cake had more lumps in it than a bag of rocks. Both began to melt within 2 hours. Never again will I go to sweet stuff. Owner very unprofessional told me it was my fault that it wasn't decorated because I was to buy the flowers, lol buy sugar flowers from where. We live about 5.5 hours away from Biloxi and needed to get a cake for a little party we were having there. I went online and found a few bakeries in the area. They all had decent reviews on their websites. Sweet Stuff went above and beyond meeting our expectations. They made the cake with less than a week notice and even messaged back and forth with me about exactly what I wanted. The cake was beautiful and tasted delicious. I ordered A red velvet cake for my nephew birthday. This was the worst cake I have ever tasted in my 58 years. There was about 20 people at the party and everyone tasted the cake spit it out and tossed it. The cakes texture was like an old sponge that you could soak up water with. I called and spoke with the owner who told me that she tasted the cake because they cut the top off for cake balls and that was the texture of their cake so there was nothing wrong with it. Her comments had to be a lie because this cake was the worst cake I've ever tasted she never tried to resolve the matter just said she was sorry I didn't like their cake and that was it. I usually avoid writing reviews, especially those that are unfavorable. However, I felt it necessary to submit because I was very disappointed in the way I was treated by some of the staff. My very first call should have let me know that this wasn't the bakery for me. The girl was very rude and told me that she would have someone else call me to answer my questions after she informed me that she had time to answer the 3 that I had. No one ever called for 2 weeks. But I was sure it was just an isolated incident and really wanted to my cake from them. I called back later and spoke with the person who would be decorating the cake. She helped me design a cake because they couldn't provide what I wanted. I was fine with that. I informed them that I would get back with them on finalizing because I wasn't sure. Fast forward, things happen in life, I had to change the bakery because it would be too inconvenient to pick up the cake from that city with everything going on that day AND they couldn't give me what I specifically wanted anyway. No harm. No foul. I forgot to call back (definitely my fault). I get a call from Sweet Stuff asking if I still wanted my cake. I regretfully inform her that we had to go with another bakery. Then I hear the "cake designer" mentioned earlier, yell through the phone from the background, "thanks for stealing my design" And the girl quickly hung up. I was appalled, disappointed, and disgusted with how rude and unprofessional she was. Without knowing the circumstance she assumed I used her design and chose another bakery. I went with a totally different design, the one that I ACTUALLY wanted that I could have gotten from the beginning had I not tried to go with Sweet Stuff (my first choice by the way). I actually called back and informed them in a very calm manner, which was hard to do considering how pissed I was, that I was not happy with the way they treated me and the assumption that I used them for their design. Needless to say, I will NEVER use or refer anyone to Sweet Stuff again. I can't understand how a business is ok with treating potential customers this way. I ordered a cake for my daughter's Birthday last year and when I went to pick it up, it had a large crack down the front of it, and the lady seemed aggravated when I brought it to her attention and asked that they fix it. Don't know why I ordered one from them again this year and instead of writing Happy Birthday with my daughter's name on top of the cake, it was written on the paper doily that the cake sits on! My daughter was so disappointed when she looked at her Birthday cake to see that nothing was written on the cake itself. I will never return to this bakery. read more

i will never order from this place again and i will not recommend them to anybody... i was told so many good reviews about this place and i wish i would never had listen.. i order a cake with them jan 31st paid $270.. went to pick the cake up feb 15th the day of my daughter party just to get told that they do not have my cake order and do not know what happen.. good thing i had my receipt but im pissed bcuz my daughter first big party had to be cancel.. i was told i would get a phone call and some cupcakes made but not one time did any of that happen.. very bad business read more
