Quite honestly, just turning into a dump. Makes me wonder if that is why they changed the name, weren't keeping up with Gold's franchise standards? If this were a gym where the monthly fees were say $10-$15 well then you can roll with it, but for the price they charge it's unacceptable. When my membership is up I will be switching to a gym that charges less and is MUCH nicer, the extra 5 min. commute won't bother me for the level of customer service I will be getting

The worst I've seen is you can't use one machine for 1-2 mins. Very good classes/instructors. They have recently added a bunch of the Les Mills classes (Bodycombat, bodypump) The only knock I have is the evening classes start at 6:30. I'd like them earlier or later. I like price is right for what you get. It isn't the low cost option but if you want to take classes it is a great place and a good value. The place is a typical suburban gym a mix of meatheads, highschooler, mothers, retirees, and middle aged parents. No one group dominate the place. You can see yourself when you go here. The one negative is the men's bathroom. While not the worst gym I've seen, it could use more frequent cleanings and more ventilation.

True Performance Training came as recommendation from a friend, and Filipe Cotas (the owner and…read moretrainer) did not disappoint! I was looking for someone who would work with my 14 year-old brother on the 5x5 program that his school had assigned for the upcoming soccer session. Filipe was fantastic. He modified the program to better fit my brother's soccer needs and was incredibly patient and down-to-earth. My brother worked with him for about 8 weeks (roughly 3x a week)and felt huge difference during tryouts. The facility is brand new and well equipped plus Filipe's pricing is incredibly reasonable. You pay as you go and there is no need to sign up for an annoying gym membership. Here is what my brother has to say about his time with Filipe: Filipe not only helped me to become a stronger person but a more determined one, as his deep knowledge of fitness combined with his welcoming personality and unending patience created an environment of hard work and perseverance. His emphasis on proper form taught me the importance of not only the weight of what I was lifting but the technique I was using to lift that weight. Additionally, Filipe did not judge me but rather encouraged me to keep going when I made mistakes, giving me pointers to do so, all leading me to not only obtaining the strength I needed but the knowledge and work ethic to continue to develop. So in closing, Filipe's knowledge and understanding of fitness not only create a friendly environment to work out in but a mindset centered on hard work and dedication. P.S. - I recommend arriving 5 minutes early for sessions to accommodate yourself before Filipe starts working with you. Also, do not be afraid to speak up if you are not certain about something, at any point during your work out. Finally, push yourself -- no matter how exhausting it may be, Filipe will be right be your side to encourage you the whole way. I started a job…read morein Mass and needed to find an AF nearby, and it came down to this one, and the one in Grafton. BUT because of the negative Yelp postings for Medway, i avoided it. I can tell you that THAT WAS A BAD DECISION!! (Don' get me wrong - Grafton AF isn't bad) Now, i don't know what happened back in 2012/13, but those postings are NOT for today's Medway AF! It's possibly one of the cleanest gyms that i've been to, with a great variety of equipment to use... ranging from cardio (treadmills, ellipticals, stairmasters & a jacob's ladder, if i'm not mistaken), to machines, to a wide variety of free weight options! Now, it's not a HUGE gym, but for it's size (and it's not tiny), it offers a lot of options for you. And to my surprise, it has an "outdoor gym" - but i've been hitting this gym at 5am, that is only open when there's staff so... makes sense. I'm driving in from CT for my job, so if\when I move to Mass, Medway AF will be my new "home gym"!

It's something that she takes pride in if a person doesn't want to get a good workout that I would recommend anytime fitness my wife and I are at a gym now and we don't like it it's bigger, but it's very dirty and the only reason we are staying here. It's closer to our home yet if we lived closer to Medway we would join The Gym in a heartbeat, because Sony is the best manager I've ever seen and all the years that I've been working out she has the best manager I have ever known and I have been working out for over 40 years. It never feels cramped, even at peak times, which is a major advantage. The amenities truly set it apart. Add in outdoor pickleball courts, well-kept locker rooms, and relaxing sauna areas, and you start to see how comprehensive the experience is. A standout is Joel at the front desk, who brings a welcoming, professional presence that sets the tone from the moment you walk in. That level of service makes a difference and elevates the overall experience. Overall, Kingsbury Club delivers a well-rounded, high-quality environment that goes well beyond a typical gym--offering something for just about everyone, whether you're there to train, compete, or simply enjoy the space.

I spoke with Chris over the phone in order to register my child, and he told me that the confirmation emails and the email to start the online training portion would be sent directly to my son. I took notes from the phone call: he gave me a date by which I had to cancel, and told me about the pre-participation swim test that had to be passed before participating in the lifeguarding course. Now, the swim test was not just " can you swim a lap in the pool?" No, it was swim 150 yards without touching the sides of the pool with your hands, tread water for 2 minutes without your arms, dive down 7 feet and pick up a brick, return it to the surface, then swim with it 50 yards. So this was not your average swim test, and this info was not communicated in advance. Unfortunately, my son did not pass the test and was unable to participate in the lifeguard course. While he was working trying his best to complete the tasks, he felt like the ADULT IN CHARGE WAS MAKING FUN OF HIM. I don't know if this was Chris or not, but there is no reason that a 15-year-old should be made to feel bad for trying something and not making it. The following day after the swim test, I called the facility and asked for a full refund for the course since my son would not be participating in it, and it was explained to me then that the refund is 50%, because "they can't resell his spot." Now that was unsatisfactory to me because that was not explained in advance, and they claim that that information was sent in an email to my child. This is unacceptable because a 15-year-old cannot be expected to make decisions and judgements regarding a financial commitment that is communicated in an email. I spoke to Chris who was fairly respectful and communicated the policy. He was not able to solve the problem, and I asked to speak with his supervisor. He connected me to Brad. I told Brad the situation, and he proceeded to scoff at me, make fun of my son, question his intelligence, and question my intelligence. It was an extremely negative interaction with no sense of customer service. This whole experience has left a very bad feeling with me. I feel like they stole $200 from me, that they only send the email to the teenager so that they can do this very manipulative practice. Terrible facility.

I told him the system allowed me and showed him but he didn't care and looked at me like I was a moron. I couldn't believe it. I sat in front of OTF for another few minutes in my car in disbelief while I watched him talk to the instructor in the other room thinking "they will come out and tell me to come back in" but no...sat there feeling pathetic. Not only did they make me feel unwelcome, I was embarrassed and made to feel like an idiot.

I walk in, don't have to think about what to do, just follow the instructions. The leaders are motivating and supportive but they don't go overboard with the shouting or cheerleading. The goal is to earn at least 12 "splat"points per workout. You earn splat points by staying in the orange or red heart rate zone (everyone wears a monitor and your stats are displayed on screen during the class). This is different for everyone, depending on fitness level and effort, among other things and the class can be adjusted for newbies and the fitness elite alike. Half of the class is spent on cardio (typically a treadmill or glider) and the other half is spent on a variety of weight or plyometric style exercises. I've been to 6-8 classes so far and I always leave sweaty and drained, but feeling amazing. The only drawback is it's slightly pricey and they do charge for missed classes (although I find this to be a good way to drive accountability). Highly recommend.

We got there at 9 am for a 9:30 class. There was one other woman waiting along with us, and now that I remember, it was the day after daylight savings and we all thought the instructor didn't set his/her clock forward because the woman waiting with us said the instructors are usually early as are other people taking the class. The instructor got there are 9:20/9:25 and we didn't know but we needed to do some paperwork pertaining to our health and make up a card with our name, number, etc. My friend had printed her Groupon out and this was an issue because she was told it needed to be marked "redeemed" on the app on her phone. Luckily for her, she did have her phone out in the car, but they should really state that they don't accept the print outs for the Groupon and that they only accept the Groupon if it's on the mobile app. If this was stated on the Groupon, I'm sorry, we didn't see it. But as far as we knew it didn't mention anything like that. All of this made it so that the class started late and therefore we were late entering into the actual studio so we had to split up. We got there early so we could all be next to each other, but it didn't happen that way, unfortunately. As for the class, it wasn't really de-stressing or relaxing. The instructor, while nice enough, was kind of all over the place and out of it... She'd go to help someone with a pose then get back to her mat and forget where she was at, or she'd try to tell us what muscle a certain pose was working but couldn't remember stating "I'm a yoga instructor, I should know." Maybe out of it due to the time change? I don't know. I tried to concentrate on my breath, posture, and relax but it was hard because I felt all over the place with everything. I'll go back at a different time and day, as I still have 9 classes, but after that I probably won't continue at this studio as I found one closer to where I live.

The studio offers classes at convenient times and special workshops (like restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra) every few weeks. I didn't know what to expect when I finally got up the motivation/courage to try it out and I am so happy I did. I have noticed such a difference in the way I feel (- my knees, especially, used to ache going down stairs and that has gone away - no pain at all). I know there are lots of options - you can pay as you go, sign up for a weekly class or an unlimited package. Parking in the adjacent lot is very convenient and I have never had an issue getting a space.
