Amazing amazing all around! Jenny is has the magic touch- I was in heaven. I wish my massage could have lasted longer. The facility is clean, cozy and relaxing! I can't wait to go back! read more

Every mom deserves a massage...a good, quality one especially. I delivered my second child a month ago and have been trying to get away for a few hours so I could have some "me" time. I found Jenny on Yelp and thought her 90-minute post-natal massage was reasonably-priced. Distance wise, it was one-bus-ride away from my house. I told myself to book a session and gave it a try. The location wasn't exactly at a quiet spot; the El train track was nearby. However, Jenny made the massage room feel cozy, inviting, and most importantly, noise-free! The soothing white noise in the background and the relaxing music masked all other distractions. I instantly knew that I made a right choice on getting pampered for 90 minutes. Of course, this luxury could have lasted longer if there were an option for an extension (lol). Jenny touched all the pressure points and her hands were strong yet not brisk. I could tell that she enjoyed being a healer and her demeanor was very friendly throughout the session. She also asked me if I would like her to wear a mask as well. I knew people have gone out without masks since the COVID restrictions have been lifted some time ago. I came from an Asian country that having a mask on was pretty much a normal route since the air quality was less than stellar. Nevertheless, I would always appreciate people inquiring me if wearing a mask was necessary around me. Jenny also didn't require a tip when I paid her. That was the first! The cost was even more worthwhile and I must come back for more massages with her. According to the website, there is an infant massage offered and I am definitely curious about this! I never brought my first son for a massage, but I am open-minded to see what this is all about with this newborn. read more

I've returned to Sweet Pea since having a baby, and I'm just here to say the postpartum massages and the Baby and Me Yoga classes are incredible! I've recommended them to all my mama friends. If you're looking for a supportive, holistic space to care for you and your baby, this is it! read more

Jenny has clearly found her life calling as a caregiver to mamas-to-be. I attended her Comfort Measures class and received several prenatal massages from her, and I cannot recommend these highly enough! Her massages, in particular, are fantastic. She was able to help fix some lower back issues that I had throughout pregnancy; she really understands how the pregnant body works and what it needs to feel good! She also knows how to "mother the mother" and makes you feel cared for as you embark on the journey of pregnancy, childbirth, and mothering. read more

I don't know why I've never reviewed Sweet Pea's...random thoughts at 2am when insomnia is at its highest! :) I enrolled in a Mommy & Me yoga class with my newborn son, Austin, 4 years ago, and though that was so long ago...I had no time or energy to write reviews back then, so here I am! :) Sweet Pea's Yoga and Jenny saved my fiancé's life on many occasions when I had my first child. Not only was this studio so welcoming, calming, and carefree; it was a judge free zone and felt a lot like group therapy at times, which was so needed! Everyone felt so comfortable sharing their experiences and difficulties as new Moms. The Mommy and Me Infant yoga class was the highlight of my week back then, and clearly has still left an impression some odd years later. It was my first experience with yoga, and helped me develop a lifelong activity to do with my children. I was bummed when my son grew into toddler age...we were waiting for awhile for another Toddler Mommy & Me to start again but I guess the demand just wasn't high enough, so I eventually stopped checking about it. :( I would have loved to continue going. So happy for their continued success! read more

I found a yoga and new mom home at Sweet Pea during my first pregnancy, and I'm back during my second pregnancy for more! I take a weekly yoga class I love, and I definitely recommend the 6 week Child Birth Ed classes. Everything I've done at Sweet Pea helped me feel ready for my first birth. And Jenny's massages are magical - she's the only person I trust during pregnancy to ease my discomforts. I had recent hip/pelvis and back pain, and the relief after was incredible. Highly recommend! The infant/new mom support was invaluable - JOC's lactation station and workshops were so helpful. I've also taken an infant massage workshop - I've passed along a lot of the info I've learned here, and I highly recommend Sweet Pea's to pregnant friends! read more

Jenny is the most wonderful massage therapist I've ever experienced. It feels like she's listening to my body whenever I get a massage and then at the end of the massage I feel like my whole body is back to normal. I highly recommend Jenny for a massage, even if you're not pregnant because she's incredible. read more

I had my first prenatal massage with Jenny and she was by far one of the best massages I ever had! She is very personable and sweet. She made me feel comfortable from the moment I met her. The space is very cozy and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back to see her and to try some of the other services they offer! read more

I've been going to Sweet Pea's since the time I tried to learn infant massage with my 4-month old daughter, who wouldn't lay still for the session to save my life; she was more interested in trying to roll off the massage table. This is a wonderful studio. Having grown accustomed to scary L.A. studios where everyone seemed to be channeling Christy Turlington and wearing expensive yoga gear, I love the non-competitive, nurturing environment here. There are a number of classes for pregnant and non-pregnant women alike, as well as workshops for birth support, toddlers, couples and so forth. Prenatal yoga is one of the studio's most popular offerings, so the Saturday morning classes can get a little crowded. But I am convinced that the reason my son is a laidback and happy little guy is because I did prenatal yoga. Or not. Maybe he's just born that way. There are tons of resources for women who are looking for doulas or other help. The studio has an informal library filled with baby and child raising books, even videos. I still go to Sweet Pea's for yoga classes, which are competitively priced. Parking is plentiful along Ravenswood and in the surrounding neighborhood, and it's a short walk to the Addison Brown Line station. read more

I can't say enough good things about Jenny. As a mother, doula, massage therapist and yoga/birth instructor, she really helped me though my pregnancy, both physically and emotionally. I started prenatal yoga with Jenny at about 12 weeks and it was a highlight of my week until I had my son at 38 weeks. The best thing about prenatal yoga at Jenny's studio is the connection you have with other mom's-to-be. For the first half hour of class, Jenny speaks on a pregnancy related subject and then everyone goes around and introduces themselves and speaks about any concerns or questions they have that week. Mom's tend to worry a lot and these chats are great as its usually the case that we all had the same concerns. Jenny's prenatal yoga also helped my pregnancy aches and pains. If you're having a certain pain that week, Jenny would help you concentrate on the best stretches for the pain. I think I had a pretty easy pregnancy thanks to Jenny! My husband and I also took Mother Me's natural birthing class that Jenny co-taught. Jenny was a fantastic instructor and this class was invaluable to us. Jenny also offers Baby & Me yoga and massage therapy. I've experienced both and highly recommend! read more

I LOVED going to Sweet Pea Studio. Jenny's birth coaching class was amazing, incredibly supportive and educational. She alleviated any stress or worry about having a baby and was 100% supportive and loving. I also took a couple of baby yoga classes prior to moving and those were so wonderful. It's a great class to bond with your baby, get some good stretching and body relief as well as an opportunity to meet other moms in the area. Jenny is one of the most loving, and supportive women I've ever met and miss her dearly! I highly recommend the birthing classes and yoga! read more

All that stands between you and relaxation/healing are 3 little words: Jennifer Barron Fishman!!!! I have been going to Jenny for massage for about a year and a half, I received a gift certificate from a friend-best gift ever- to connect with such a gentle, nurturing, loving massage therapist! Jenny listens to what you say is hurting, fixes those spots and many you didn't even know were tight!! I leave my appointment relaxed and feeling amazing, physically and emotionally! Best hands and heart in town! SERIOUSLY! read more

Wow, I just fell in love with this studio. What really makes it special is the yoga instructor and massage therapist, Jenny. She is so amazing and makes the classes so relaxing and informative. She has all the gear so you don't even have to bring a yoga mat. I always look forward to my Wednesday night yoga class. It was also great getting to know other mothers. I am already looking forward to her mommy and me yoga class. I have already signed up and my baby isn't even here yet. Oh and I have had several messages from her and they are AMAZING. We also took her childbirth class which we really enjoyed. Try a drop in class, you won't be disappointed! read more

I've had a prenatal massage with Jennifer three times and she is by far the best massage I have ever had in the city. I'm so thankful for her presence and knowledge. I also appreciate that she really puts you in a deep state of healing which helped tremendously throughout my pregnancy. Highly recommend! read more

If you want more than yoga, this is the studio for you! I came from about 12 weeks all the way until 41 weeks, 2 days (or right around there). Jenny, the owner & yoga teacher, is incredible. The first half hour of class is usually sharing and talking. This is what Jenny called "yoga of the mind" and I always looked forward to it! There is nothing like connecting with about a dozen other pregnant mommas :) Plus, Jenny has great and peaceful insight about pregnancy, childbirth and mothering. I felt so much more prepared for birth, being a mother, and breastfeeding knowing I had my whole tribe of mommas at Sweet Pea supporting me. Momma & baby yoga was my one big weekly outing with my new baby for almost an entire winter. Seeing the same moms I saw in prenatal yoga with babies was so fulfilling. Plus, having insight on our baby's growth and development was stabilizing. Let's face it though: I needed the socialization! Jenny always says, "you are a mom first, and if yoga happens that is great." I always felt comfortable to breastfeed or change my baby's diaper at any time during class. My husband and I also took the Childbirth Education classes here. Great, super relaxed. Moms can sit on chairs, exercise balls, yoga props...whatever you need to feel comfortable! Once again, a sense of peace & zen washed through us for childbirth. Massages with Jenny are the best! read more

Love love love this place. Jenny is so sweet and knowledgeable, the space is relaxing, and I love the community vibe and the collaboration with other businesses in the shared space. This studio is such a valuable resource. read more

I'm not sure if I have ever been to a business with so much integrity. When Jenny says she wants to create a space for community around children and wellness she delivers over and over again. It's going to be hard to try and briefly convey just how much finding this place has meant to me, my husband and now my son, but I'm going to try. 1. Prenatal Yoga here is amazing and about much more than yoga. If you are looking to get a real sweat going every time and really focus on those poses and improving your yoga game this is NOT for you. If you are feeling utterly overwhelmed with pregnancy and want to feel supported by someone other than a partner or family member and maybe have never gone to a yoga class before - ever - then this is just what you're looking for. 2. Birthing classes are in depth, evidence based and allow you to draw your own conclusions and make decisions about the kind of birth you want. I know that, without a doubt, had I not had my birthing classes here I would have ended up with a c-section (something I did not want). My husband raves about Jenny's classes and felt so much more prepared for the birth of our son as a result. 3. Baby and me Yoga classes are now one of the things that keeps me sane. It is so nice to know that I can get me and my child out of the house once or twice a week and be in space that if all I do is nurse him it's totally cool. I'm making mommy friends and getting so much support and great help from the community at Sweet Peas. 4. For whole body health there are many other amazing people that offer their services at Sweet Peas. From bodywork and physical therapy to lactation consulting I have found the studio to be a place that I can look to for help in so many areas of my life. I do not consider myself to be what some refer to as a "crunchy granola" type of person so you don't have to be into essential oils and natural birth to really get something great out of Sweet Peas Studio but you might run into the evidence based benefits of some of those crunchy things while you're there. read more

Jenny is so sweet and the studio is very welcoming! I started coming to prenatal classes in my 16th week. i really loved how we chatted with each other before the class and how Jenny was giving tips based on her experiences about the birth. Sunday yoga with Carina is also great. It is different type of yoga but it makes you work! I loved it! read more

I can't say enough good things about this studio and its owner Jenny. I have participated in the new mom's group and the Boob Group and had a private consultation with Jane O'Connor, the lactation consultant who runs weekly clinics at the studio. This place has been an incredibly safe and supportive environment for me as I got a handle on my life as a new mom. It's the only place I've found that has openly welcomed moms with very young babies, which has given me priceless opportunities to get out of the house! read more

Once again they are out doing themselves at this studio. The quote I love is "Jenny just knows how to create a healing space. Not only yoga, it is birth education and a community of like-minded people!" The place to be!! read more

I am in love with this community. I wish I had gone earlier in my pregnancy. The classes are small so Ms. Jenny is able to take care of every single one of us. There was a week where my sciatic pain was so bad, it was so hard to walk, sit, or move but Ms. Jenny was able to help me with my pain. She had us do exercises that focused on stretching the part that was painful. I did the exercises that she taught us at home and now my pain is gone. It's still a bit uncomfortable but not like last time where I could not do anything without crying in pain. Anyways, Ms. Jenny is the best! :) read more

Sweet Pea's Studio was my favorite part of being pregnant! I took prenatal yoga there from 14 weeks onward, and I absolutely loved it. Jenny, the owner, is so supportive and open; I enjoyed the sharing and camaraderie as much as the workout. The classes are formatted such that you get to know your fellow students, which is perfect for first time moms or people looking to make other mom friends. There are a couple of different teachers whose classes are of varying difficulty. For me, class was a welcome place of relaxation every week in addition to an education on all things birth and pregnancy. Now that my little dude has arrived, I am excited to check out some of the post-natal offerings, which I'm sure will be excellent. read more

My husband and I took the childbirth education classes. Although I felt prepared through all the reading I had done, it was nice to talk about these things in a group. It was also good for my husband and I to make sure we were on the same page after every class. It was in this time that I really formulated what I wanted for my the birth of my first child. read more
