We're on holiday here and just randomly got the urge to get a good pedicure because of all the walking we've been doing. They staff were so nice, understanding and everything felt great. I picked a nice fall color and they took their time and it turned out perfectly. My partner had a ton of dead skin (that's why we did deluxe) and they got it all off and his feet are so soft now. Very happy with it so make sure to stop by! Picture is off the wax part towards the end. Prices were good too.

Cleaned the window screens n table top. I mean everything as i was watching when they were busy doing my pedicure n manicure with beautiful chrome nailpaint on my original finger nails . I must say that my lady was detail Oriented and took her time to clean and paint my toe nails. Similarly manicure was done with care. The staff can speak good English even though they talk in their language. Clean washrooms and too many towels to be used after hands cleaning. Drinking water is available at request. The place didn't smell paint or anything like many other nail salon. So overall a lovely experience.

Because of the location, prices were a bit high - I paid about $55 including tip for a gel mani and removal. Overall, it was a good experience, the manicurist was diligent although a bit slow. They don't use any electric tools for removing the polish or buffing your nails if you prefer that. She did a really good job shaping my nails but I think the polish application was so-so. She applied only two coats of the polish and didn't give me a chance to assess before doing the top coat - for my polish colour I would have preferred 3 coats as it's slightly see through and not as opaque as I'd like. The top coat application is what I'm least happy with - you can tell it wasn't smoothly applied, there are streaks on almost all the fingers and little dents where the top coat isn't smooth. They have a good color selection and possibility of being a good salon, but for the price and location, I feel like there's still a few things they need to work on!

I desperately needed a shellac pedicure and decided to take open the door and take a chance to see if they would take me as a walk-in. Luckily, Allure was able to take me immediately. May was the lady who took her time and provided the best foot/leg massage with my pedicure. May started with the usually foot soak, nail trim, salt scrub, treat calluses, massage (with hot stones and hot towels!) and moisturize. May spent a good 20 minutes with a good heavenly massage. Another lady stepped in to finish with the colour and polish protector. I appreciate the ladies taking the time for each customer and I never feel rushed to get out of the chair. I could certainly be back again. I think they did a fantastic job. My shellac pedicure was $48 plus another $5 to take off the old one, so competitive with other nail spas. The shop was clean and I noticed on the wall a posted indicating certain stalls for parking. But I also fine easy parking 1 to 2 block west and east of 7 and 8th Avenue.

Yesterday I called in to make my follow up appointment and after the way Nancy, the owner, spoke to…read moreme, I decided enough is enough. After Nancy confirmed my appointment she harshly said, "and don't be late otherwise I won't be able to see you until 1:30 ". Her comment stunned me because I had not been late in many months. Over the years I thought Nancy did not like me because no matter how much I said hello, tried to make conversation and gave good tips she was very serious, hardly acknowledged me when I came in she never wished me a nice day or thanked me for a tip. She shows no basic customer service in politeness. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because I did like how my nails were done, but yesterday I read through other reviews where others were treated rudely by Nancy. Other customers also said Smile Nail employees would call them if they are even 1 minute late for their appointment threatening to give their appointment away. I had the same experience. Then I would walk in the salon and no one would even be there, they weren't even that busy. Frankly, those phone calls made me feel a bit harassed but I let it slide and tried to remain a loyal customer. Other times if I asked for my mani pedi to be done separate, Nancy would get upset and say, " I'already told you before, you have to request that ahead of time, as if its my fault for not keeping track of all her rules. " It's rude and I don't need to be chastised like a child, especially in front of other customers. I pay too much money and give nice tips to be treated so harshly. They are losing workers and recently I have noticed they only have one other guy still working with them. Lin is friendly and gives good pedicures. She recently complained to me that no one wants to work for them. Perhaps if they created a kinder environment others would want to continue working there. I ended up calling back a couple hours later and just cancelling my appointment. I will no longer be going to Smile Nails or recommending them. I hope they stop and read these comments and work harder on their attitude.
