The candy party experience was fantastic for all of my nephews ranging from ages 3 to 10! Jenn had engaging games that kept all the kids completely invested as well as trivia and history that the adults loved. Kids say: The chocolate mint fudge made on site was delicious and we learned how it was made. Went home with more candy than at Halloween! Perfect for: visiting kids. Birthday Party. Celebrations.

Sweet Mickey's on Ballard - for a walk down memory lane...

A friend & I strolled Ballard Ave tonight (after a visit to the National Nordic Museum - much recommended) and stopped in at Sweet Mickey's. This is a stroll down memory lane. Do you remember "button candy?" Little wax bottle candy?? How about candy fruit slices??? It's all here. I took home a nice chunk of rocky road fudge... Jennifer, who took care of us, was delightful.

The perfect candy shop. Most by the pound, employees are super pleasant and very informed about all the candy. Very international selection. We go almost every Saturday as a treat for the fam! Also dog friendly and nice place to sit and rest your legs.

Such a cute little store with yummy treats! We had such a great time stopping in and looking at all the different candy they had. The lady who helped us was very nice and had great knowledge of the candy within the store.

For the two years that I lived in Ballard, I was obsessed with Sweet Mickey's! Aside from their diverse and absolutely delicious selection of treats, the owner Randy is a gem! So attuned to the needs of his community and always going out of his way to deliver a treat to mark every occasion. Sweet Mickey's quickly became my go-to spot for gifts for out of town guests. When Randy learned that my husband and I were engaged, he decided to sponsor a candy table at our wedding, filled with an assortment of delicious chocolate, taffy's and gummies. It was a huge hit, appealing to guests of all ages, and added a sweet charm to our reception. Sweet Mickey's made our special day even more memorable and I love their assortment of treats so much! I can't recommend this store enough. If you stop by the store, be sure to say hi to Randy. He's genuinely the best!!!

This is one of the cutest candy shops I've ever seen. I love the layout. As you enter, it's candy drinks on your right followed by a wall of pick & mix style options from all over America & Europe, to the very back looked like some chocolates, to your left, unique and cute gift baskets for a number of occasions, and behind that the shop owner at the display and checkout counter, featuring in-house made truffles and fudge. I stuck to the pick&mix because for example there were candies from Italy & Canada I wanted to re-try, but also unique flavors I'd never imagined before such as "spicy Mango" which literally tasted like someone melted pepper and mixed it into the gummy. It's delicious if you're into interesting flavors. They had more traditional flavors as well like strawberry, grape, etc. The owner is polite and complimented my smile, so there's no way to add another star, because I can't but sure did help !

The best Gummy Bear collection that my son has had in 23 years! A must-try for sure!

The drive from Shoreline to Ballard was well worth the drive just to experience the over-the-top friendly service. When a friend of mine inherited a several million years back, I always commented on how she acted like a kid lost in a candy store. I am glad they don't have a camera system at this place because I am sure I was acting the same way with so many choices. Cleverly planned and organized business starting with employees all the way to the last candy choice! If this place was to be Franchise, I would invest because of the excellent selections! Great Job Randy, clearly you have vested your heart into your business and it shows earning you plenty of good reviews! Ignore the bad ones, they must be having a bad day which we all have from time to time. Happy to help you find a location in Shoreline if interested not to say being bigger is better but everyone should have access to the environment you have created. Everyone is always so excited when I go into your store which makes me spend more! hahaha, cheers!

Social Distancing Edition Review In this time of uncertainty, there are a few standbys that can help you feel just a little bit better. A strong cup of coffee, cake, a glass of wine, and dare I forget, a solid bag of sweets. So what can you do to accomplish that? Well, you can risk your life and limb at the local grocery store... OR... you can call Randy at Sweet Mickey's and either get home deliver if you are near by, or schedule time with him to get a wonderful "Social Distanced" approved personal schooling opportunity. What lies at in his shop is none other that beautifully hand made fudge, without any of the corn syrups, and bins of candy that fill the mind and soul. Don't worry about touching anything, with the exception of the front door, you are in a no-contact purchasing experience. Cash is king, but if you prefer, he'll take the tap-to-pay or other digital payments. Look, I'm not saying that you should get candy, I'm saying that in this time and age, with all the social distancing, if you need candy, call ahead, parking is plentiful, and get some wonderful candy. Stay calm, eat local, wash your hands.

Sweet Mickeys is not only sweet for all the sugar you can find in there, but it's also sweet as in a charming little candy shop. The gentleman helping me today was super sweet and kind. The windows are so adorable. A throwback to a time when shops did wonderful window displays. The shop is a nice blend of chocolate, fudge, and vintage candy options. I have everything from chocolate covered peanuts and malted milk balls to gummy bears, Turkish Taffy, and jawbreakers. Today they had some beautiful truffles that would make a wonderful Valentine's gift. Located in Ballard Central, it's a cute location. The good thing and also at times a drawback is street parking. It's great if you can get it, and a pain when everybody is out and about.

They mostly do Mexican-style hot chocolates, made with all natural ingredients. The menu has a large variety of drinks to choose from. I'll admit, the prices are kinda high but for the unique product you're getting, I can understand. Also, I will warn you, many of the drinks have ground-up ingredients mixed in, so you might be chewing a bit on them as you drink, but I think that adds to the authenticity. It's part of the experience. I discovered Rey Amargo a couple years ago when I was walking around Cap Hill and they were offering samples on the sidewalk. It was the cardamom hot chocolate... at first taste, I knew I'd never forget this drink, and had to return to this place. The Spicy Mexican Mocha is another of my favorites. Smooth, a little smoky, a spicy background, and just enough coffee. If you ever stop at the café, the beverages are served in simple yet classy tall mugs. It's nice to just sit and sip while I stare out the window and let my mind escape.

We loved the Xocolatl; it is 100% Mexican cacao blended in water that looks like a warm chocolate soup, and comes with a chili, vanilla syrup, cinnamon and pepper that you can put in yourself depending on how much you want. It was very interesting, bitter, spicy, and complex, not sweet at all! It also made the perfect dipping sauce for the churros, which were deliciously crunchy with generous cinnamon and sugar. We shared an iced mint flavored Mexican hot chocolate as well, which was refreshing and perfectly balanced. This little hot chocolate cafe is well worth the street parking! I highly recommend stopping by to try both familiar and unique flavors at a great price.

We were there at opening, and ordere the grilled cheese which comes with tomato soup, crème brûlée and I had th hot chocolate. The sandwich was good, although I would have liked a slice more cheese. The soup was really amazing. I don't often like tomato soup but this was the exception. Chunks of tomato and a full flavor without a lot of spices. The crème brûlée was warmed and freshly caramelized on top. This is not made in advance and just refrigerated which seems to be more common these days. The hot chocolate hit the spot! Options for no -dairy alternatives were offered which I almost forgot to ask. Liked the atmosphere, spacious and high ceilings. The staff was very friendly and nice. They had a rush when they opened and didn't seem unusual for them. The candied orange was a nice touch.

They brought out the wines one at a time- describing each one in detail, even pointing out which were their favorites. The service was very personable, which is something I don't always get at other places that do wine tastings. The chocolates were melt in your mouth, with unique flavors, making it extra fun. I must note- getting the flights that we did was pricey, but I know, most wine tastings and fancy chocolates are going to be expensive. I also wish there was a little more chocolate in the flight. I've never had champagne to start a flight and I absolutely loved it. The flight was well placed with each wine growing bolder.
