Lots of gluten free breakfast options including bread, bakery items and pancakes. They have sandwiches, soup etc for lunch as well. The gluten free Maine Wild Blueberry pancakes were good but a little dry. Often a gluten free problem, they could of used more egg or oil in the batter. The French toast with berries was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised with the extra crispy bacon but I would recommend giving your preference when ordering it. We got muffins (gluten free pumpkin) and peanut butter cookies to bring home. Both were amazing. It was really quiet mid morning when we visitors. We loved sitting outside on the patio, on a gorgeous morning. Tiny a la carte inside area, with maybe 10 tables. Stopped here on the way out of town. We wanted something more healthy than your typical fast food for the long ride home. We liked that they allow dogs to sit on the OUTSIDE patio, however chose not to do so because it was very hot on the patio and cooler in the shade in the parking lot. It wasn't particularly busy but we did have to wait 10 minutes to get our order. The ice coffee wasn't bad. Probably slightly higher quality that you would find at McD's but not as good as Dunkins. I ordered the TUNA wrap. I really was impressed with the different options they had for the wrap. I chose wheat. The tuna was high quality and tasty but the problem is it was PASTED ON! I was basically eating a lettuce and tomato wrap with a tuna spread. For $11 (with drink) I expected something a little bit more filling. My son had the grill cheese with bacon and only ate 1/2 of it (and he usually eats everything). No complaints from my wife with her steak sandwich. With so many other options in this area. Great for breakfast! After getting rained out of Saco, we decided to grab some breakfast. I got an egg, cheese and bacon on a croissant breakfast sandwich... Let me tell you, that croissant was outstanding. Yum. My husband got the Valley Logger (I think that's what it was called) with the buttermilk pancakes -- so light and fluffy -- and the whole wheat French toast, which I thought was too dense. My friend also got the Valley Logger with the challah bread French toast, and THAT was amazing! We didn't care for the artificial maple syrup at the tables considering the name of the joint, but it's fine. Loved that they use coffee ice cubes in their ice coffee. This special little cafe' never disappoints! The staff is efficient, friendly and attentive. The salads are fresh and always have bright, interesting vegetable, fruit and/or nut combinations. I stopped in for lunch and upon picking up my take out order at the window, there was some initial confusion about my order but the woman in the kitchen assured me everything was in my bag. 20 minutes later when I got to where I was going, I noticed one sandwich was missing. I called to inform them and they immediately put the blame on me saying I left my sandwich on the counter. Why would one sandwich (which they claimed was in a separate paper bag --why?) be separate from the rest of my order? And why wouldn't they come get me before I left if they saw it sitting on the take out counter? They said why'd put it in the fridge for me until I could come pick it up 5 hours later. Spent $26.00 on breakfast and beverages and they wouldn't give me a free refill of my coffee. I had to charge $1.00 on my debit card to get my coffee refilled. And the portions were extremely small. I stopped in for simple breakfast sandwiches today it is under new ownership and the owner struggled to put the order in the POS system for 5 minutes so I finally asked if there was anyone else there that new how to put the order in. He sputtered that he hadn't anticipated the volume, that he didn't quit his full-time job, that he had no experience in the restaurant business and that since he only planned to work there a few days a week he probably wouldn't learn the POS system. Doesn't sound like this place is off to a good start and this is so unfortunate as it was great under the previous ownership. Me and 3 others in my family went here around 9 in the morning on a Sunday in August. It was not very busy; when we had arrived there was a man in his MacBook eating something, some people in the outside sitting area, and 2 more people inside. From what I could see, there were 3-4 staff at the time. I got the breakfast burrito. It was good, and I had the choice of the type of wrap bread, though the eggs were a bit charred and there was a peculiar salty magnitude at the end of the burrito. The atmosphere was cosy yet open. There was some soft music playing. There were not many tables inside, so I would not reccomend this for large groups. There is a shop section of the eatery that has bags of coffee, iron and other tea pots, mugs, and things of that matter for sale. Some negatives of this place would be that on a Sunday morning this place is not greatly staffed so service can be a bit slow for people seeking take-out and sit-down alike. As my health agent father also pointed out, both doors being open leads there to be a couple of flies milling about. Another thing would be as another yelper pointed out, this place has many Gluten-Free options, but the do not seem to be made separately than from the glutinous things which is a problem. Overall, this restaurant is a good place to stop in for a good selection of coffee, tea, smoothie type, and other drinks. The take-out did have a bit longer wait than wanted, but the food was good. I was excited when I saw a new business in this location. The name sounds wonderful, but I would not recommend it. The layout of the restaurant is cramped, it was a maze to get in and out amongst the neighboring tables, something you have to do numerous times. We sat down then got up and waited in a long line to order, then had to get up to get our food, then again to bus our own table. I wouldn't mind this self-service if it weren't so pricey! For 3 average adult breakfasts, 3 coffees and one child's milk it was $33! The only "extra" ordered was a side of corned beef hash which was little more than 4 forkfuls. The food was adequate, but nothing at all special. The restaruant was also chilly. For $33 and bussing my own trash the least they could do is put on some heat. If you are desperate for a bagel and a coffee it is ok, but for anything more there are much better choices. read more

First of all, they need to figure out their ordering system. I could have gotten over that. The inside is very cute and the outdoor seating is very nice. But the menu on the wall is not accurate. My husband ordered a sandwich, and the menu on the wall had a list of what was on the sandwich... or so we thought. But no, it only has half of the ingredients. My husband has an allergy and when his order came with that on it he went to tell the woman at the front that he could not eat it because of his allergy. She said he would have to go around and wait in line again and would have had to pay for something else. We pointed out that the menu didnt say that it had it on it, she said that the menu on the wall doesn't have everything on it... Then say NOT FULL MENU somewhere. And if someone has an allergy to something that you don't list, you make him something else right then and there!!! You DO NOT make him rewait in line and pay for something else. If he had not checked his sandwich before eating it he could have died. Plus my bagel was significantly burned and didn't have everything I ordered on it. I could have gotten over it and never would have written this review if they had just made him something else. But the customer service was horrendous. read more

I returned here recently after my first visit. They seemed to have worked out the kinks in the operation. The food was excellent. Still counter served, breakfast and lunch., but I actually prefer that for this type of place. The staff (the owner, I think) was especially nice and seemed genuinely concerned that we enjoyed our meal. Everything about our breakfast was particularly nice. I normally don't expect much out of valley restaurants, but this one is near the very top of my list. I'm glad they are doing Sunday now, that just makes it better. First, they are now open Sunday, and have an all you can eat Sunday buffet from 9am - 2pm. The menu for the buffet looks fantastic, featuring omelette station, and an assortment of other yummy sounding options. I'm a local and this was my first stop in since the change from Chinook. It has a similar feel. Enjoyed my first meal (breakfast: bagel (many choices, I chose garlic) with gruyere cheese, scallions and fresh parsley). The lunch menu looks good and includes choices for adults and also basics for kids. When you go, be sure to check out the board for more items and specials that aren't on the standard menu. Of course, a large selection of coffee, espresso drinks and teas, juices, etc. Also, a gluten-free bakery menu, gluten free breads for sandwiches, and a large selection of regular loaves of breads, pastries etc. Can't wait to go back and try more! Although this place does have good food most of the time, they are extremely understaffed. Which in result causes much of our order to be forgotten. Every time I go here, I never leave with the order that I had originally ordered. When I try to talk to the cook or barista and ask for my correct order, I get attitude in return.
