Okay so I didn't realize how great the sushi here was. Let's be honest, it's hard to find amazing food in Connecticut. So when I ate here for lunch on Friday I was blissfully surprised at how delicious it was. I ordered a French Dragon, Angry Dragon and Hawaiian Roll. I also had some of my friend's Shrimp tempura roll and a few appetizers. I've had sushi from a little bit of everywhere and this might be the best I've ever had. It was fresh and came out within 15 minutes of ordering. We ordered way more food than we could eat so I ended up having leftovers for a few days. read more

Ordered a Thai dinner and thought it was pretty good but was served cold. My coworkers and I went here for lunch and were amazed by the amazing service and quality of the food. We ordered a variety of food, including sushi and hibachi lunch specials. I'm not a sushi fan, but my coworkers loved it and it looked fresh and colorful. My vegetarian coworkers loved the avocado, sweet potato, and mushroom rolls! My husband and I went here for the first time last weekend and we will definitely be going back! After reading all the other reviews, I was excited to try Sweet Mango. The service was excellent and everyone was so pleasant! We ordered some appetizers of crab rangoons and steamed shrimp shumai. The flavors were good on both, but the temperature could have been a tad bit hotter. My husband ordered a salad with ginger dressing. Dressing is hit or miss sometimes at restaurants, but he said it was one of the tastier ones. For our sushi, I had the Philadelphia roll and Coconut shrimp roll...both very fresh and delicious. My husband had Chilean sea bass roll and Pearl roll, both excellent. I would recommend this gem for sure. Great food and service! read more

Tonight we went for dinner at Sweet Mango, as we have previously, and I have to say this restaurant always delivers outstanding food and service. I had 2 of the special rolls for today, absolutely delicious, my wife had hibachi steak, wonderful our granddaughter had the rainbow roll. We loved everything! The atmosphere is so cozy right when you walk in, the music isnt too loud, and although there may be other people you don't feel overwhelmed. We went there Saturday for dinner. We like the atmosphere. The waiter was nice. Yhe food pleased the eyes before pleasing the mouth. My hubby really enjoy the crisp duck. I could not stop eating the masaman curry. The broth was super delicious, but the shrimp was tasteless and a little bit overcooked. But a like the curry so much that i did not care for the shrimp. I was racially profiled by this restaurant and had a false accusation made about me to local police. I arrived 25 minutes early for my order and proceeded to wait in my car facing the restaurant until my order was ready for the designated pick up time. After waiting 20 minutes, police showed up and I was detained in my car for 25 minutes because this restaurant insinuated I was dealing drugs from my car when in reality I was just waiting for my food. After I was told I was free to go because there was absolutely no evidence that what the restaurant accused me of was true, the entire staff just stared when I came inside to get my order, no warm greeting, no concern. If you are a POC there are plenty other restaurants with similar menus that would be more than happy to have you as a customer. Unfortunately racial biases and profiling doesn't sit well on my palate. read more

Misleading menu and rude service. Went to lunch today, miso soup was sour. Sent the soup back. Order for vegetable rolls were not as listed in the menu. Pointed it out to the server who was rude and told me I had to get them or anything under the lunch special only. On top of that, there are 3 ten year olds taking orders, bringing the food out and messing up the orders. Aren't there child labor laws? Worst service I have ever experienced!!! We were the first people there (on time) for a reservation for 13. It took 30 minutes just to have someone take our drink order. After that wait we decided not to order sides or apps but it still took 2 hours to get our food. This was not because we had a large table. Everyone in the restaurant had the same wait. My big issue began when they started accusing us of the food taking a while because we were late (we were sat 5 minutes before our reservation) and they had been holding the table for us for an hour before our reservation time. After all of that they forgot to put in one of our main dishes so one of us ate after everyone else was done. At the end of the meal they told us it was because they were short a chef. They could have warned us that at the beginning. We wouldn't have wasted our time. After all of that it took 2 hours and 45 minutes to have 1 drink and one main dish. The food we got wasn't bad but wasn't anything special. I suggest not wasting your time and money. I will never go there again. read more
