From the presentation (yes, I am talking about the box they came in), to the amazing confection aesthetics, to the quality of the liquor, to the moist texture of the cupcake itself and not mention a super creamy and yummy frosting; these cupcakes are like nothing I've tasted before. The owners are amazing, super professional and very knowledgeable; they are very thorough with their cupcakes descriptions, ensuring you make the selection that matches your taste buds best! Considering the fact that I don't drink at all, nor even like taste of many drinks (believe me, I tried many!); they type of alcohol they use feels refreshing, soothing and a perfect mix to each cupcake. So far, the Boozy Bellini is my fave, but the strawberry cream is a close second! Highly HIGHLY recommend to try them; indulge yourself and enjoy!!!

I left Farozan a frantic voicemail once I made up my mind and she called me back to patiently explain what she needed. She was very nice and accommodating. We exchanged emails and I showed her what I wanted. The end result was awesome. I also mentioned we needed something very low sugar because no one in my family eats too much sugar. The cake turned out the be the best thing I ever had! Super moist chocolate cake, delicious strawberry compote filling and a naked vanilla icing. All the fondant she used for decoration was delicious too - low sugar and not very thick. I know we will be using her services pretty much for every event we have going forward!

No fancy gimmicks needed--just an amazing cupcake that delivers on flavor from the first bite to the last. If you're a vanilla lover, this cupcake is a must-try. Both were "good" but I felt the cake was a bit pricey for the size of the slice. The take pricing was $10 slice or $120 for the cake -- both of which were not vey big. So, for me the taste / size / value ratio was not aligned. The place was decorated nicely and the staff were friendly; however the order took a bit of time to come out. Because of the time, I figured the desserts would have been heated. They were not. They were cut and packaged "as is" which meant the cinnamon rolls were room temp and the cake was refrigerator cold. Overall, cute place -- good desserts.

I love how natural the fruit flavors, like the strawberry truffle, are. One of my favorites is the fleur de sel which has that perfect saltiness to its chocolate base. Crumbville is such a unique bakery and record shop with a beautiful atmosphere and positive vibe…read more It has an old school Third Ward feel, but also reflects a contemporary mindset. I read somewhere that the bakery is set to close soon and wanted to share a few thoughts regarding how important this bakery is, not only to my original childhood neighborhood, but the city itself. What I love: how the building looks on the outside and inside; the owner is very kind, friendly and eager to converse with visitors; and the idea that you can purchase an album by The Jungle Brothers, David Axelrod, Andre 3000, De La Soul or D'Angelo along with sweet treats from the bakery is just so cool. As a cratedigger who loves buying records, this is just so impressive to me. The great artwork hanging on the walls is another plus. A family member bought a delicious strawberry cake for my birthday a few years back, and that was my first introduction to Crumbville. The owner's decision to offer vegan and gluten free desserts was a smart decision, but she also offers regular baked goods. During my first visit recently, I purchased a strawberry cupcake, which had a lime-flavored cookie base. It was sublime and reminded me so much of the birthday cake from years ago. Service was great here. Overall, I just love this place. It makes me smile, and I will be very sad to see it go.
