Had the lunch special which ws $10. You have a few choices one being brown stew chicken. Yesterday's prices are not today's prices it is what it is. The brown stew chicken was good, tasty. I would get it again. The lunch special comes with rice only add veg for $1. I added veg I would have loved more. The lunch special is a good way to try a dish. Also had a beef patty and coco bread. The service was good and quick. They have a lot of seating if you want to dine it. read more

Years ago I stumbled upon this place. It was a random grab and go experience. Then I forgot the name and only knew it to be om Baltimore. Quite literally took years to stumble upon it again. So glad I did. It's nothing fancy, but rhe jwrk is authentic and you can find other Jamaican offerings like coconut drops pr coconut water or bun and cheese. Came for lunch which they have specials between $10-$12 ish for a smaller selection. It feels like it's authentic and it's worth a try. Ot my favorite spot for Jamaican dishes, but another option in the mix. read more

I am so disappointed. Whenever I order oxtail I order from here. But today I did not receive oxtail and I don't want what part of the animal this is. Everyone around me said it's a rib. Oxtail is not that long or skinny. Just be careful when ordering. read more

The food here was passable, but didn't taste like authentic Jamaican food. Everything was pretty tasty (with the exception of the cabbage), but it wasn't authentic. I've definitely had much better Jamaican food in the area. read more

I really love this place. I've been coming here for almost a year now, and I can honestly say I've never been disappointed. I usually stop by during lunch hours between 11 AM and 3 PM, when they have their $10 lunch special. It used to be $8, but it went up with the new year, which is understandable with everything going on. For the lunch special, I usually get the curry chicken with rice and peas, or the honey jerk chicken wrap that comes with chips and a drink, which I love. Their pineapple ginger juice is one of my favorites and it's usually made fresh daily. There have been a couple times it was sold out, but that's rare. The service is always great and very personable. I've never had any issues. The vibe is chill and laid back. It does look like a typical Jamaican carryout, and in some areas it could use a little updating since it kind of feels like a living room, but if you're just grabbing food or eating quickly, it really doesn't matter. I've never had any real issues with the food. One time there were a couple small bones in my honey jerk chicken wrap, but that's expected since they were chopping the jerk chicken fresh right in front of me. Everything I've tried has been amazing. The oxtails are fire. I like the brown stew chicken, but the curry chicken is my favorite. I haven't tried the fried chicken yet, but the curry goat patty and curry chicken patty are both really good. Honestly, everything I've had has been on point. This is definitely my favorite Jamaican spot now, even over Judy's Island Grill down the street where I used to go all the time. This place just does it better. If you're in the area and looking for a good spot, I highly recommend coming here. If you want to start small, try the lunch special first. It's only $10, you get a good portion, and it's a great way to see what they're about before exploring more of the menu. read more

The chicken stew was good but they forgot my rice and peas. The cabbage was bland and my plantain was burnt

The greens were really good. The jerk chicken tasted like nothing no seasoning at all

I came back to try their lunch special curry chicken for $8. Let me say it was very tasteful and delicious. The seasonings, curry everything very nicely made. Restaurant was clean when I walked in and chilll, I got a small pineapple ginger juice and it was perfect for $3/4 I believe. I'll be back. Wish I would have got the lunch hours because it's not shown on the site or in the restaurant. read more

By far my favorite Jamaican restaurant in Baltimore! The food is authentic, you can actually taste the pimento seeds and thyme in the rice and peas. The brown stew is also delicious and they have a lunch special that goes until 3pm that comes with your choice of protein and rice along with a drink. The half and half is always good and sweet and the portions even for the lunch special are enough for me to split two meals. I tried their honey jerk chicken wrap today and while I wasn't too sure about it based on the looks it was DELICIOUS, spicy with a hint of sweetness. It's worth a try! read more

1/10. I would not recommend. I've never had stew chicken not on a bone for starters. Also they're advertising Kool-Aid as watermelon juice. The way it's worded, I thought it was fresh pressed watermelon. I was completely dissatisfied. read more

Everything! Chicken was DRY & OLD, spent $40 on Nothing..It was a waste of time & money. I was wondering why it was so empty, just me & the Spanish lady behind the counter taking my money & the Spanish man watching TV. I should have known Brooklyn, Md would not have a good Jamaican spot. They will NEVER have to worry about me EVER dealing with them again! read more

I was in the mood for some Caribbean food on a Friday. I was in the neighborhood and decided to give them a try. I thought that this was just a carryout so I was surprised to see that the restaurant was filled with nice seating and decor. The menu had so much to choose from but I picked a few things for my to-go order. I ordered a large Curry Goat, a large Brown Stew Chicken, and a small Curry Chicken. The food was full of flavor and the portion sizes for the chicken dishes were good. The only complaint was the Goat. The Goat itself was good but it seemed like the dish was filled with a lot of vegetables and rice. An extra scoop of goat would have been love. I'll be back soon to try more dishes. read more

Great place. Staff is friendly and helpful, food tastes amazing. Jerk sauce is spicy! but flavorful. I like to get the brown stew chicken for lunch and a side of the jerk. They're amazing together! Rice and Peas is really good , and the curry is to die for. Literally never had anything bad from here, everything is seasoned to perfection. Lunch special is $8(pre-for meat, rice and peas, and plantain. Very decent size too, can definitely make two meals out of it. Parking outside is street parking, and can be challenging during peak hours. The neighborhood is "hood", just a heads up. Inside is clean and spacious, but I've honestly never seen anyone dining in. Not sure why that may be. read more

A Jamaican spot that doesn't run out of beef patties by 1 PM? Sign me up! This hidden gem is in a neighborhood I wouldn't necessarily spend a lot of time in but don't let appearances deceive you. The restaurant seemed really clean and the staff were delightful. The cool feature of this place is that most of the options are prepared in bulk and they just serve you right then and there. No sitting around waiting for 45 minutes for that oxtail. The food itself was a 4/5 in my book. The portions are generous and the seasonings are there but I prefer a little more spice in my Jamaican food. The value for what you're spending is 5/5. It's definitely worth a visit when you're near Brooklyn. read more

My friend who is Jamaican recommended this place and insisted I come visit. So she brought me here and I was skeptical because of the area. As soon as you step inside, it's like you just walked into Jamaica and it's a very inviting and an accepting environmental. The decor and interior design was very authentic and true to culture. The food was the best part. I kept it simple and just got jerk chicken and brown rice with fruit tea and it was so good. I've had jerk chicken from all around buy this by far was the best. I'd highly recommend taking the trip to come better. Chef Tony is a very nice guy with great food. read more

I ordered a Uber eats and wish I could've had it on-site! We had curry goat, oxtail, and patty. All were delish. The curry goat is next level with a light kick of spice; the oxtail is a little sweeter than I've ever had yet it worked. Very tasty. I'll order again. No pics as this was a while ago. read more

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!' I eat Caribbean and Jamaican all over the world including Trinidad and Jamaica, this place holds a candle with the best of the best. Ordered 3 Small Jerk Chicken and 1 Small Curry Chicken. First off SMALL!!!!! Are you kidding me? I have been many places where this would have been large. The Curry Chicken was the way I like it chopped and on the bone, way juicer and tastier than a boneless chicken breast. I spend 250 to 300 days a year on the road, I already can't wait to get back here! read more

I have the food. Very delicious. The issue I have now is , I ordered food totaling $50.77. The money was taken from my card. Then a email saying, I will be refunded 23.00. and that the money would be put back in my account in 3 to 5 business day. Then another email saying my order is canceled and I will be refunded ygs 27.77 in the next 3 to 5 business days. So I get no food and no money for 3-5 business days. Deeply disappointed. If you can't fulfill the order, put my money back as quickly as you took it read more

I tried the small jerk chicken and coco bread for my first visit. Boy was it good and my goodness was it spicy. I asked for extra sauce because I didn't want the rice dry. I did not see how much sauce was already put on the food before I asked. If I would have saw her plate the food I would not have asked for extra sauce. It wasn't necessary and it was really spicy. Their jerk chicken has a hint of BBQ in there some where. It almost taste like Jerk BBQ Chicken. Just an FYI! The portion size was pretty good for a small, price tag $11. I stopped in around 8:45 at night, they were closing at 9:30 so they were out of plantains. I could also tell that I received some of the last, very little vegetables, lots of rice, not as much chicken in the portion as I've seen in the picture and the chicken got really hard when heated up. No worries! I can honestly tell if I would have came earlier I would have absolutely loved it. Hence the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. I'm going back to try the Curry and Brown Stewed Chicken. I'll be sure to stop in at an earlier time. read more

Amazing amazing food curry chicken absolutely my favorite and the beef patties are very good as well.

food good but service is always bad the woman got a stank attitude with no people skills the guy is cool she should stay in the back!

I ordered the lunch special thru Door dash. The curry chicken was very flavorful and fresh. The portion size was more than enough for me. I will definitely be ordering again soon. read more

All I wanted today was a roti. So I ordered one, with 2 sandwiches and 2 Pattie's (that were truly subpar). The sandwiches and Pattie's came but my roti was not there. Now I'm a very reasonable person, so had the restaurant contacted to say they didn't have a roti in stock or weren't making any today, I'd be disappointed but wouldn't mind repatronizing the business, however, only after my food was delivered, was the roti removed from the order. At this point I was over it's but my partner decided to re-order a goat roti and instead I received SUPER SALTY goat curry over rice which is fine, but not what ordered and again, they could have communicated via phone like (as every other restaurant on Grubhub) does when a menu item is unavailable. read more

This has quickly become my go-to Caribbean restaurant. I've been so many times, I thought I already wrote this review. I've never dined in, mostly because COVID protocols were still in place when I first visited. On this last take-out order, I noticed several people dining in. Not sure if that's for me, but it's available. So far, I've tried the jerk chicken, curry chicken, veggie patties and coco bread. The jerk is good but the curry chicken is my favorite. I asked for brown stew chicken gravy on my rice and peas once and they were good so that'll be the next order. Only reason it's missing a star is because they've not had what I wanted to order more than once. Otherwise, it's a go! read more

I ordered a large jerk chicken with rice and peas for $18.01 an hour and a half before close . The food should be fresh or please inform me before order if it's not . THE best Caribbean food here near Baltimore!!!! This food is sooo good. It truly has those deep homemade flavors that are irresistible. I think I eat there just about every week. I even placed a large order recently for folks at work to try. Believe me...its worth every penny read more

I wanted to like this place because of the reviews. I am craving for good authentic Jamaican food. The staff are genuine and nice but the food was just ok. My jerked chicken (white meat) was dry and overcooked. The steamed cabbage was good but the portion was small. The rice and peas were also dry. I suspect the food is prepared in advance and kept on the warmer all day until served. I will give this place another try because I want to support small business but I hope they figure out how to keep the food moist and delicious. read more

We ordered through GrubHub and delivery was faster than estimated. The food was good. Very flavorful and similar to how I make it. Unfortunately I gave 4 stars because we got a lot of rice, like so much rice but very very very little cabbage, like one bite. Plantains were also very dry. I wish we got equal amount cabbage and rice, and also option for sauce on the side. The large is enough for two meals, plenty for leftovers the next day. But overall, food was tasty. read more

I would like to give this place 5 stars but its hard to when Ive only had the jerk chicken dinner. The dinner was so good that I keep going back for the same thing and order nothing else. Twice it was slightly over cooked but once the sauce is put on it, it compliments the experience. Top 5 best jerk I have ever had. Priced just right. enough for dinner and lunch in the morning and its only $12. I'll have to go back try the curry chicken and oxtail before I can give it 5 stars. BTW It looks like it turns into a lounge on Friday and Saturday nights with a DJ and free rum punch. read more

Ordered the Jerk Chicken and few beef patties. It was really good. Nice spicy kick and the vegetables paired well cooling my mouth and cleansing my palate as I continued to feast on my latest Jamaican adventure for my belly.
