This is a new coffee shop/bakery on Main Street. It looks a bit dark from the outside, but it's beautiful and full of natural light inside. Theb coffee menu is really basic (just hot/iced with flavors), but the coffee is excellent. There are pastry cases full of goodies, and even an entire gluten free section. I ordered a GF donut without realizing it, but it was absolutely delicious, so I didn't miss the gluten! The cupcakes looked really great, and there were beautiful small cakes as well. Well let me start by saying this review is based on SERVICE and food. After driving an hour in a snow storm because of the great reviews I was extremely excited to try this place. The decor was cute chessy and cheap looking. The desserts were good, but I've had better. My gripe is with the OWNER who catered to a particular table (mind you it was only about 10 people in the entire lounge.) I guess the older Caucasians patrons was more important then myself and my younger minority husband. Oh well, I will gladly give by business to someone more deserving and attentive! read more

The decor and atmosphere is great here, it looks like it belongs somewhere in the city. Given that it's a dessert bar though, you would expect to find great desserts. I had the espresso creme brulee and it was so disappointing. They didn't torch the sugar at the top, it was not crispy at all. And to make matters worse, the creme brulee was watery! The coffee was not great either. It seems like they either ordered it from elsewhere, or had it sitting around. With that said though, I might go back just because there's no other places similar to it in atmosphere, but the desserts were a big letdown. read more

Horrible! Bad service. Forgot about us after they seated us (by dragging a table and chairs) in the middle of the room and we had asked to be moved and keep in mind we made RESERVATIONS! Besides the horrible service the desserts weren't even good. Tasted (and looked) store bought and way too expensive. At first glance, you think "pâtisseries" and "conifères." Lest we not forget a concoction of liquor may also be considered a "dessert." Aptly for it's mix of sweet and thick liquers with caramels, chocolates and many other additional tasty tidbits to tempt our palette's. It may cater to those who have a few bucks to dish out for a quiet, romantic drink, but I thought it was very nice. My only "complaint" is that I wish either---A: The tables were higher, or B: maybe the seats could have been lower. It gave me a feeling of a swanky and trendy; romantic atmosphere. Nice place. You gotta love the dessert drinks! The staff was exceptionally kind and interactive with us.They knew when to wander away and leave us to our conversation, but when we needed something they seemed to deliver at just the right time. I would like to see dividers of some sort between some of the placements to provide a little more romantic and private areas, but Touche! It wasn't crowded or loud and the "right touch" of background music tempted the senses to revel in memories of some years gone by. It's ambiance was classy. Inviting and alluring. I've only been here a handful of times, but I like it. Overall it's nothing too special, but drinks/desserts have always been okay.

If I really wanted a dessert out of a box and NOT freshly made on site I would just open my freezer and take out the frozen cheesecake from 3 thanksgivings ago which would still be better than what we had there. Owner seems to just like to go and hang out and talk while a one man bartender/waiter runs around like a chicken. read more

Cute place. Great for catching up with friends over a few cocktails. Martinis are decent however my only compliant is that it's kind of pricey..$10 martinis...ok fine that's about average but really $10 desserts too?......which would be fine if there was something spectacular about them but honestly the desserts tasted like they came out of the freezer, thawed, sprayed w/ whip cream and serve to you. This place is a joke. They don't have any beer on tap. I asked for a Sam Adams and they brought me a goose island beer saying it was sam Adams from Chicago. The beer was fine, but really? No Sam!? That beer was $7. Then I saw they had Guinness. $8! They only had two so yet again I had to find another beer. I ordered a whiskey ginger that had a whole lot more ginger than whiskey. Every drink i ordered at this place left a lot to be desired. Some places justify high costs with professionalism, but not here. The bartenders didn't understand that I would want a tab open, and the martinis from their menu came out different every time. We were there for a Christmas party for my wife's work. The pasta was undercooked, hard to eat with the slippery plastic cutlery and the dessert was minuscule. And my wife had a hair in hers. Disappointed. I ordered a cosmo with a top shelf liquor. I can taste the difference. I swear they used the cheap stuff. A friend ordered a slice of cake. I was shocked when I was in BJ's a few days later and found the cake there! Really? I will not be going back. My friends can go some place else. read more

I personally love this spot! Despite the other reviews you can get an excellent cheesecake and Tiaramasu here! They have Italian sodas and they have drinks and are open late in the evening! I always bring my friends by this place just for fun! Great spot though! read more

I had really wanted to eat here for quite a while and boy was this a disappointment. First, my service was terrible. The owner seemed somewhat drunk and used profanity right next to our table... and we had a child with us. When she saw our expression she acted very snobby and continued to be loud and obnoxious. Then there was the music. Frank Sinatra over and over. It was kind of like being tortured or interrogated through a sonic assault. Hello Dessert Bar - it's not 1950 anymore! On to the drinks. Our drinks tasted very watered down. And for the price it was a total joke. Later I found out from an ex-employee they refill their bottles with cheap generic alcohol and water. Which, if true, is actually a crime I think. And the desserts were frozen crap you could get at Applebees. Overall, you're better off ordering in pizza, with a nice bottle of wine and Ben and Jerry's. At least you won't be embarassed by a owner cursing like a drunk sailor and have to listen to Frank Sinatra for three hours. Wish I could give Dessert Bar zero stars. read more

This place has GOT to be a front for something else, because I do not understand how it is still in business. We moved to Leominster two years ago and when we saw this place, we thought we would be there every day. The idea is excellent, and definitely needed in a place like downtown Leominster where decent bars are few and far between. When we went, it was 9pm on a Saturday night and absolutely dead. My husband ordered a gin and tonic and I kid you not, the bartender asked how you made that. What?!? My martini was good, I will give them that, but the desserts were not homemade. I got a cheesecake that you could tell was frozen 24 hours ago and probably defrosted and refroze several times during that period. The decor is super cheesy, I don't know what is going on in their store front, but it looks horrendous. We haven't been back since and I am not sure how they are still open 2 years later because it always seems empty! If they could just get a decent interior decorator, a knowledgeable bartender and hook up with one of the local bakeries in town, they would be golden! read more

Let me tell you that the Dessert Bar, in down town Leominster was such a disappointment that I didn't even want to give it one star. The food wasn't anything special, the desserts were worse and the drinks weren't great and all of it was WAY over priced!!!!!!!!!
