Hard to believe the I have not done a review update for this store in 5 years. Our family stops here regularly, summer the most but always all year, even in the worst of winter. The staffing has changed over the years and so have some of the flavors. A few favorites have been sadly retired but there are still 8 regulars always in stock. There is still an amazing selection of new and different flavors, both seasonal and fun. The quality and serving size is still exceptional. My current favorite is Nutella and so classical smooth and blended with the sweet cream base in most flavors. The shop is always clean and when the season is prime, there are plenty of staff members to move the line forward. They are generous with tasting options and patient no matter how long a child or even adult takes to make u their mind. My husbnad sticks to his favorite Super Delicious Vanilla most of the time but occasionally tries something new. We have watched the current store manager move up from a new scoop staff over the years. It's that kind of place. All of the Sweet Cow locations are unique as they rotate flavors around. We have been known to "chase" flavors as one runs out at one stop, there could be stock at another. We re lucky to live halfway between the South Boulder store in Table Mesa and the North Boulder store in Community Plaza. We have even got to the Louisville original store when really desperate for a flavor. Next time I am there I will take newer pix than I have for a while. The still offer ice cream cakes and ice cream sandwiches, ready in a freezer for grab and go. We most often come to the south but we are also lily o hit the north when dining nearby. We do have a place to eat near here ow too. It's not ALL about ice cream but it's pretty close to that for sure. read more

If you ever find yourself in Boulder, Colorado - whether you planned it or just accidentally took the wrong exit and ended up here - make time to stop by Sweet Cow for a scoop or two of ice cream. It was 98 degrees the day I visited, which caught me off guard. I expected it to be cooler up in the mountains (FL is home), but the heat made that ice cream stop all the more enjoyable. I went with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, one of my all-time favorites, and it didn't disappoint. The real standout, though, was the pretzel cone. It costs a little extra, but it's absolutely worth it. Salty, crunchy, sturdy, and far less likely to drip on your shirt than a typical cone. Plus, it's absurdly tasty in its own right. This Sweet Cow location is great! The service is good and very friendly and the shop is pretty clean. I love the location because it's in a shopping center with lots of stuff around with some restaurants around so we can get dessert after dinner. I tried the peeps flavor and the key lime pie flavor. The peeps was good and had good amounts of peeps that wasn't too sweet and gooey. The key lime pie was good but I felt like the lime flavor was too subtle. Over the course of the summer I ate Sweet Cow three times-- and thoroughly enjoyed each of them. This is the go-to ice cream place for vegans/lactose intolerant people!!! I first ordered a vegan chocolate fudgy ice cream, but I can't remember the exact name. This was, by far, the best chocolate vegan ice cream I've ever had. So rich and creamy, and the brownie/fudgy pieces were so yummy as well. The second time, at a Sweet Cow truck, I tried chocolate peanut butter. This was my least favorite of the three but still very delicious. I am not the biggest fan of peanut butter, but the ice cream itself was again creamy and not icy like most vegan ice creams. Finally I had vegan cookies and cream, which might be my favorite ice cream ever. The Oreo chunks were big enough to add that satisfying bite, and the ice cream itself was so blended with Oreo that it almost was chocolatey. Love it!!! Wish there were Sweet Cows in LA. As usual sweet cow doesn't disappoint! This location was fairly new to me due to our usual location being in Denver, so there was some worry that it wouldn't be the same. I was dead wrong. I ordered my usual cookies and cream. It had a great amount of Oreo inside the ice cream and the double scoop was huge. Service was on point. They were friendly, talkative and overall their knowledge was well rounded on the options they offer. The place doesn't seem to get packed either during weekdays, I'm pretty sure this will change on weekends but if you want a late night snack then definitely come! read more

We wanted some Sweet Cow before the Boulder bolder. So did everyone else in Boulder. We waited in a pretty long line with my son before we were pulled out of line to 'scoop our own!' The owner walked in and asked my son if he wanted to help scoop ice cream. My son went to the back and the owner helped him make a milkshake and scooped ice cream for me. When we went to pay he said it was on the house. He was kind, personable and my son was so excited about it. We will absolutely be back and can not recommend this business enough! Ty sweet cow! Very creamy, very flavorful and very good. They are light on the scoops so it seems a bit pricey for the size. Places like Cow-a-bunga ice cream are about the same price but you get double what they give you here. The facility is clean. Nice homemade ice creams and great looking ice cream cakes. Ice cream is great the service is lousy. Let me explain... My wife is gluten free (not by choice), I am not. We wanted to share a triple so we asked if they would place one of the scoops that had gluten in it, into a different cup do to allergies. We were promptly told "No we would have to charge you for a double and a single." That's an $3.00 extra charge to put a scoop in a different cup. Seriously?! Here are the flavors we tried: Sweet Cow Sweet Cream: basically like a super sweet and very creamy vanilla; so good - 9/10 Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: a super solid cookie dough ice cream, just nothing special; cookie dough pieces tasted a little artificial but were nice and big with great texture - 7/10 Almond Joy: awesome with great texture from the nuts and chocolate; coconut flavor was very strong and just the tiniest bit fake, but still yummy - 8/10 Sweet Cow Cookies and Cream: the BEST cookies and cream I have ever had and one of the best overall ice creams I've ever had; I was so sad when I finished this and desperately wanted more; the base is deliciously sweet and a little chocolatey and the cookie chunks are huge - 10/10!! Sweet Cow is simply the best ice cream period! It's winter and we needed to celebrate. What better way than going in for homemade local ice cream? We each sampled two or three flavors. This was no bother to the young lady behind the counter. I selected cheesecake as my flavor. It was absolutely awesome. Even though the top of my cake-cone broke, and it became complicated to eat it, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. The employees were friendly, patient, and happy to answer any questions. They were relatively busy for it being a colder month day, but there wasn't a wait. The long list of flavors for scoops was daunting to work my way through, but the staff was kind and allowed me to indulge on a few samples to hone in my choice. Ultimately I landed on their Peanut Butter Brownie which was spectacular for peanut butter fanatics like myself. In fact, this one has a disco ball! I mean an ice cream store with a DISC BALL?! Sure! Why not?! Compared to Louisville this location doesn't have any outdoor seating.
