I first had gelato boy in boulder so when I was looking for a sweet treat, I was thrilled to learn there was a gelato boy in downtown. This is a great little spot to get a treat while waiting for a show to start at the Paramount. There are lots of flavors to try from something not really sweet to salty to a sorbet. I think there's something for everyone. They let you try samples. The gelato is quite tasty. It's very creamy but not super sweet. I like that it's quite rich and thick. They give you a good amount in one scoop. I had the pistachio and I highly recommend it if you are a pistachio person. read more

Excellent Gelato and such a nice treat after walking Pearl Street! We all.opted for the small size cups (plenty big portions!) Two of us chose two flavors each (you have up.to two flavors in a small and up to three flavors with a regular). Busy place on a beautiful weekend day. Only one staff member working but he did a great job keeping up along with being polite and ask Ling how our day was going! Gelato flavors - Lavendar Poppy, Sicilian, Pistachio, Coffee Chip, and Carmelized Tiramisu! All winners! We are on vacation here in Boulder and plan to revist Gelato Boy again and again! read more

Such a nice gelato place! Very cute ice cream shop with walls painted as a nice background for ice cream photos. I got the lavender poppy and Sicilian pistachio flavors in a cone. I loved both, so delicious! The pistachio flavor was especially strong, which I absolutely love. read more

The gelato here was incredible. I got the chocolate hazelnut crunch and my boyfriend ordered the black raspberry chocolate chip, we were both really impressed with the flavors we chose. I wish i could've tried more kinds! The service wasn't the best though, the workers were in back and it took a bit for them to come out, both girls seemed annoyed that they had customers to serve. read more

Cute small shop on Pearl St Mall. Clearly very popular at 7pm on a Sunday night. They had 16 different flavors and a choice of cones & cups. Two small benches on both sides of entrance with small tables for indoor seating. I saw several stools out on the sidewalk. The staff was pleasant and didn't acted rushed despite the crowd. I got the Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch and the Coffee Chip gelatos in a Waffle cone. Very good. I am a member of your rewards program and got another star reward. read more

Still a 5 after all these years. I am in this area a lot but have been frugal with my calories recently. But the power of suggestion is real. When I saw a Yelp picture of their new summer flavor, I knew I needed it for dessert tonight. It was really really good. They used to have such inventive and frequently changing flavors. But they, like everyone else , lost a lot of momentum over the last 4 years. I'm so glad I saw this new summer flavor on Yelp today. And happy they have yet another location in Denver for the locals and visitors down there. I'm already a huge gelato fan and not even a huge fan of ice cream but I REALLY enjoyed this place. Cookie ice cream sandwich was DELICIOUS. I never would finish a whole one and I did this time! The gelato was good but the service was horrible. Both attendants blankly stared at us like we were bothering them. I told my daughter we were getting a regular... at no point in time did the person serving us asked us a thing. Then just filled the cup... so we had to order another thing of gelato and pay even more. Hire new people or train your staff better to actually SERVE people. read more

Lavender poppy and raspberry chocolate chip are the true winners here! What a neat little spot to grab dessert after dinner on Pearl Street. You can try multiple flavors if those two aren't your cup of tea... but seriously all so good. Great service too. The texture of the gelato wasn't creamy, it was more like the texture of ice cream. I ordered a small (two flavors) in a Waffle Cone. Salty Cookies + Cream: The flavor was mild - the most memorable part was the slight saltiness. Gooey Buttercake + Caramel: I definitely liked this flavor better. The caramel flavor was really intense which caused it to be a little too sweet for me. read more

The hype is REAL at Gelato Boy! You know a business is good when there are 2 locations within a few blocks of each other on the same street. Both locations are right there on Pearl Street which is an awesome retail and dining district of Boulder, CO. A friend and I grabbed lunch at a restaurant on Pearl Street then just walked the strip which I thought was the perfect afternoon activity. There are tons of shops, restaurants and bars in this area and the roads are pedestrian only. You could truly make a whole day out of Pearl Street. Anyway, back to the gelato. The flavors were completely insane and totally not like other gelato I've had before. Gooey buttercake caramel was my absolute favorite! Lavender poppy and salty cookes & cream also caught my eye. They were making homemade waffle cones in a waffle maker while we were standing in line and you can just imagine how great that smelled! Visited their other location a few months ago when we first visited Colorado, didn't realize they had 2 locations so close to each other. Got to check out this location this time around and it was just as cute. Their service was amazing!! Masks weren't really being worn here but then again I think majority of Colorado isn't really wearing masks anymore either. They rotate their flavors often, they didn't have mint this time around so I got the peach crumble & s'mores!! They were both so good & satisfying! The consistency of the gelato at this location was better than their other location. It was much thicker & creamier. Also they close at 10 pm here! I checked in on YELP for a free waffle cone but since they were out, the cashier gave me $2 off which was super nicer of her!! Had a great experience, definitely will be coming back next time I'm in town. read more

They had delicious gelato here! I appreciated that they were allergy friendly. When I mentioned I had a nut allergy they went to the back to use a fresh scoop and batch to avoid cross contamination. I tried the gelato with a warm brownie and it was soooo good! read more

Nice sweet treat and the Pearl Street Mall is an awesome place to walk around. There are actually two Gelato Boy locations on opposite ends. Check in on Yelp to get a free waffle cone upgrade! Overall gelato consistency was excellent and it didn't melt quickly. - The gooey buttercake with caramel is a phenomenal flavor highly recommend! Rich flavor, cake chunks, and not overly sweet 5/5 - The pistachio didn't have as much flavor to pair against the gooey buttercake but I think would be a classic flavor 3.5/5 Waffle cone was crisp and delicious; saw fresh ones being made in store and it smelled so good. Awesome gelato! I tried the new strawberry pop tart and cinnamon cake one and they were super awesome! Great gelato as always and you can't go wrong. I wish some of the pint flavors were offered in the store for offering because they had a lot of interesting sounding ones. Cleanliness is ok and the seating could be better but the gelato makes it worth it. The service is quick and friendly. Will be back when I'm on Pearl street ans want some unique flavored gelato. read more

We were looking for a dessert spot in Boulder while visiting and happened upon Gelato Boy. Let me start by saying this is some of the best flavors and texture of gelato that I have had in the US. We decided on a flight with 6 flavors to share. In order of our favorites: lavender, gooey butter cake, chocolate hazelnut, chocolate malt, stracciatella, and raspberry choco chip. I really like chewy ice cream and this hit the spot to give me just that. It's a pretty good price for a flight of 6 scoops honestly. I have Jenis ice cream to compare some of these similar flavors to, and I actually liked the flavors and texture here better than Jenis. Definitely worth a try on a hot summer day when you're in the area. read more

We tried the Gooey Buttercake + Caramel with Lavender Poppy which turned out to be a great combination, the highlight was the Lavender Poppy which was the perfect amount of sweet, the gooey buttermilk + caramel tasted absolutely dreamy. The Dairy Free Strawberry Gelato was nice as well and different from a generic strawberry gelato. Located in a small storefront on Pearl Street's West End, Gelato Boy does a terrific job meshing creative, in-store flavors with superb customer service. Toughest decision is which flavor to select, a challenge! I shunned Midnight Chocolate, Gooey Buttercake Caramel, and Strawberry Shortbread for their Very V@Nilla, which was outstanding. Just what I was lookin for in the afternoon, the blackberry cornbread and strawberry blondie were both crazy insane and full of flavor but the weird thing is nobody said a word to us. Like all the kids working were really weird and made us feel uncomfortable not gonna lie lol. They were really unfriendly. There's also some outside seating. The staff was friendly, but it seemed to take an extremely long time to make my girlfriend's latte. I don't know what they do when they get busy. My girlfriend reported that her latte was fine, so I guess that's the conclusion. Pretty average.

I've popped in here numerous times over the years. Mostly for a to-go caffeine jolt before heading back to Denver. Coffee has always been solid, with an extensive menu of unique drinks. One day, I hope to spend more time sitting in the shop and appreciating the community vibes! 15 years going strong, they're clearly doing something right.

It came with a jam, lemon curd and clotted cream for the scones. It was a lot of food so do go hungry. I made the mistaking of having a small lunch before this. The small sandwiches were so delicious! As well as the scones with the accompaniments. The cakes did not stand out to me in any way. If you're looking for a nice little afternoon tea with a friend, this would be a great place for that.

One of our favorite things during the pandemic when restaurants could reopen was picking up their in house chicken pot pie. It's my husband's absolute favorite chicken recipe which I used to make myself. Though I am unable to make it now that l have lost a lot of vision and not a single one we have bought elsewhere was sufficient until we ordered from The Post Boulder. After a short time it became too labor intensive for the Post to make in house back then with limited staff so they contracted with a pie facility in Denver. Compared to their own it was merely adequate so we moved on to there other in house specialties. As we were ordering gold specials for Sunday!s big game, I saw that the daily specials now include Chicken Pot Pies Thursday's so we went to try it. This ficus a personal size freshly made this morning it was nice to have for a meal with a side salad. But though good, it was not as hearty as the one we loved 5 years ago. Staff was friendly and attentive and my husbands favorite beer (El Korn) was on tap and my iced tea was customized perfectly . We even brought most of the salad home as it was a large serving for a lunch. We'll be back on Sunday for our wings and other treats that we need to pick up. And we can come back again for a lunch or dinner as the have more items for people like me who cannot eat fried chucked, with their grilled chicken or salmon.
