In short A legendary watering hole for decades. Solid…read morekitchen, hard-working bar, multiple TVs showing the game. No parking to speak of. They are packed. All. The. Time. In long It's even cooler when the weather's nice enough to sit outside, because they have a deck facing the water. On a cold or wet day, though, there are a couple dozen tables inside, and one of them has a firepit in it. You walk up a ramp from a busy street, and inside you see old dock pilings and ship rope cordoning off the upper bar from the main dining area. Kids are welcome, at least part of the day. We rolled in for a late lunch, and found a HH menu on the table. Perfect timing! 25% off drinks and apps. Our server was friendly, knew the menu cold, and had everything written down right away. They clearly know what they're doing here. We had waters before we knew it, and cocktails not long after. I got the southwest burger, which is messy af, but worth it. Good flavor all the way through, cooked perfectly medium. She had the seafood basket with tots, which was all also exactly at temp. The chunk of whitefish was steaming hot, really juicy. Scallops were legit. Big props to them for their tartar sauce--awesome dill pickle flavor. It gets loud in here, and rumor has it the owner is often in the corner, keeping an eye on everything. I could see it being pretty insane for a big game. They have lots of Kraken signage up, and you know it's a Hawks bar too. It kinda seems like everybody in Edmonds who's fun to be around has probably hung out in here, maybe multiple times. It definitely felt like the whole neighborhood was welcome and well taken care of. We had 2 entrees and 4 cocktails for $80. These days that's getting to be a fantastic value, especially at a place where they do everything right. I'd happily come back.

Went solo on a Thursday evening. Good service, prompt attention. Mostly chairs, some half booths…read morewith adjustable tables, a few full booths which are presumably easily avoided. Got the Pomegranate Drop cocktail. It was pretty good. Ordered the three-course meal; not a lot of food but certainly reasonable for the price. Four shrimp in the cocktail, very tasty, four shrimp in the duet entree, also very tasty. Salmon could have benefited from slightly more seasoning. Pilaf with almond and golden raisins surprisingly tasty. Broccolini perfectly competent. Bailey's chocolate mousse pretty good. The restaurant itself is very nice. The view is absolutely incredible. Given the low price of the three-course options, this feels like an ideal date spot for people who want reasonably fancy.

What happened here?! When I last visited, I gave it a 5/5 review. I had the worst dining experience…read morethis year if not the past couple of years. I got sat down and went to the bathroom to wash my hands. There was another patron who looked disgruntled as a staff member was stocking each stall with rolls of toilet paper in hand. Weird right? Then we ordered... The crispy calamari ($24) was basically steamed with zero crunch, batter falling off of the soft rings of squid. The squid was a gross, soft texture. If you told me it was pork bung I would have believed you given the ratio of rings to legs. Some of the pieces had a weird fishy taste. I then had the swordfish mushroom ragout ($46). The vegetables were cooked so that they weren't too mushy or firm, and risotto was pretty good, with chunks of artichoke hearts mixed in. Too bad that the swordfish had a fishy taste that contaminated everything! I had heard that the chef specials were ingredients that needed to be sold fast and had never believed it...until now. I ended up barely eating it and throwing the rest of it away. RIP swordfish sorry for wasting you. Finally, I got the white chocolate cranberry cheesecake ($15). The cheesecake had the perfect balance of sweetness and tang, with a smooth and lighter texture. Too bad that the menu did not mention it had a gingerbread crust which totally overpowered the other components of the dish. The gingerbread was not mentioned in the description in the menu. I would have steered away. The only saving grace was that the cranberry lemonade was delicious - Anthony's makes a good lemonade. When I went to freshen up in the restroom, I found out that the stalls were not loaded up with toilet paper properly - the rolls were just sloppily perched on the toilet paper holders. I think this just underscored how badly my experience went. Complete WTF.
