Amber answered my on line quote request quickly with a quote (including options), available time slots for service and what information she needed to offer best service...very professional yet personable email contact. Mike arrived right on time, he was very professional, courteous, respectful (watching to keep my home clean), conscientious (safety and practical suggestions) and personable. My gas fireplace was in dire need of attention, and Mike was thorough to see that it was clean and safe. He informed me of things that would be coming up for fireplace maintenance, but simply informing me so it wouldn't come as a surprise without the slightest sales pressure. There is a very good reason for all of the 5 star reviews... What a wonderful company! We're new to the area so I just looked on Yelp for a chimney sweep. We had just moved into our house a few months ago and wanted to have the chimney inspected and cleaned before we used it for the first time. Had Mike from Sweepy Hollow come out a few weeks ago after we bought a house and wanted to make sure we could have safe fires. Good thing we did! He was honest in his work, and showed pictures of various aspects of our chimney to help explain the process. He really educated us on our fireplace and the maintenance and when things were important to fix and when we could wait. We were on the edge of needing a cleaning and went ahead and got it done. He did a great job and cleaned the chimney without getting any ash or soot on any furniture or surrounding area. I can't say enough good things about this company! Setting up an appointment was easy, they worked with my schedule, and were able to answer a few initial questions and concerns I had. When our technician, Mike, arrived he was right on time, wore shoe covers, and covered his work area so as to not get anything on the floor. He was able to answer all of my questions in a way I would understand, alert me of an issue with our rain cap as well as give me a quote for repair, and address a siding issue on the chimney. From start to finish this company did an amazing job on my fireplace. Two times they came out, one for an estimate and second to repair. The employees respected my home and wore shoe covers whenever they were on carpet, in/out of the house 1/2 the day and there was like an invisible barrier at the doorway where they constantly took-off and put on shoe covers (We Never Asked Them To). The areas surrounding our fireplace was covered with cloth tarps and tapped off. I'm on a home improvement binge. And by 'home improvement' I mean the long overdue inspections and repairs. I've lived in my house since 1996 and never had the chimney looked at (don't tell the fire marshall!). Mike showed up right on time and quickly assessed the job. He did a very thorough job cleaning the chimney of our wood burning stove, and offered lots of advice for our brick chimney. I have a project going on caused by a leak using many contractors and by far this is the only company I can say did the job quick, and to perfection. We needed a way to keep the squirrels from getting down our chimney. Called Sweepy Hollow and they were out right away. Put some screening around the opening first trip. The inspection showed that we also need a new, sheet metal topper for the chimney structure. We agreed and they came back within a few days with the piece (custom size for our chimney). Great company! We had a chimney leak above our fireplace. Sweepy Hollow sent out a technician for a next day appointment. The leak issue was assed extremely professional from inside the attic and roof top. Several options were given and we decided to go with the all for safe measure. They were ontime charged the quoted amount and also replaced my built in (mortared in place) gas log starter and included it in the quoted amount.
