Shepherds pie and a glimpse of Caesar salad.

Came in again on a very rainy Wednesday evening around 7pm. Always come in for lunch, so this was our first evening adventure. We were a group of five. The restaurant was lively, busy and filled with happy but wet guests (including our group). Our server was nice (great as usual) and she waited till our entire group arrived and quickly took our order (five burgers, a chefs salad and onion rings + three on tap beers)-didn't get pictures today :? Anyway the burgers were fresh made thick patties (not the frozen flat type) and cooked perfectly! Delicious! Onion rings were a large shareable basket and looked homemade, thickly cut and crispy fried (not greasy) The chef salad and fresh iceberg lettuce, plenty of ham, turkey and roast beef rolled into little tubes. And cheese rolled in the same way. Fresh onions and olives completed the salad. The honey mustard dressing was great.

Sweeneys always has been a staple of walden. You can always count on getting a good bite of food in there. I've been many times before, and I highly recommend Irish food, but today I went with a bbq burger instead. I asked for medium rare, and it was brought out cooked perfectly to it. It was a big burger, and the onion rings were also a nice portion size, cooked nice and crispy. The waitress was very attentive and was fun to talk to. Overall, this is a very nice hometown bar.

Great old school Irish pub atmosphere! We arrived around 9 pm and it was great we were able to still order dinner. The Dublin steak sandwich was very large and the Reuben was we a decent size. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We would return again in the future!

This was the Irish Stew (Meal). Two tiny pieces of meat, a few carrots and a small portion of mashed potatoes hidden by the gravy.

I'm not sure why we arent regulars here, but my husband & I discussed it, & we are going to try to be! Everytime I visit, I have an excellent plate of food, followed by friendly service. I didnt get the name of the young man taking care of us Sunday afternoon, but he was the nicest. We both decided on onion rings for an app, which came out in less than 10min,piping hot&crispy&delicious. The Shepards pie, comfort food numerous uno! So fantastic. The place is also spotless. They have everything going for them, well done.

This place was very nice. The menu was full of tempting items. I had a bacon burger and it was cooked perfectly.my wife had grilled cheese. Place was busy. Prices were good.

Glad to find a pub open past 11pm after attending a concert at the City Winery Hudson Valley. The place was empty except for one other guy when we 3 non-locals ventured in for a few pints at 11pm. The two female bartenders were gracious, even though they were probably hoping to go home early. Guinness was fresh & my friend's drink was well made. We did not eat. They did not make us feel unwelcome or rush us out.

We are relatively new to the area and were looking for something new for take out last week (we're not to crazy about Waldens pizza places). We always drive by this place, but we're both sober so hitting up pubs (in the pandemic no less) isn't exactly our style anymore, it also stands out to me because I have Sweeney cousins :) My husband got the Shepard's pie and said "who ever wrote the review saying it was under seasoned has no taste buds". Didn't even get the chance to snap a pic of it... He did say he wished it was bigger, but for the price it was right! I got the bacon cheese burger, I'm weirded out easily by meat and have only been eating burgers for 2-3 years. It was cooked just as I asked and tasted great, if anything for me it was a little big! The fries were good (we all know take out fries are iffy) but keep in mind I live like a mile away. We'll definitely be ordered from here again.

After a trip to tour at Angry Orchard, I was looking for a place to eat. Trusty YELP didn't steer me wrong. Greeted as I walked in I found a spot at the bar to sit. Not too many people here, seeing as how it was about 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon. The bartender/waitress was very helpful and told me what was good on the menu. I had already decided that I would be getting a burger, but she only re-enforced that decision. Food came out in about 10 minutes, and was presented really nicely. Burger was juicy and everything was fresh. Bacon was crispy, just like I like it and the burger was cooked just as requested, medium well. Flavor was really good and portion size is generous, especially when you factor in the price. All staff members were engaging and made you feel welcomed. Not necessarily the case when you are in a small town bar, but there is nothing ordinary about this place. Overall very welcoming! Very pleased with my decision to come here and I would for sure come back here again if I find myself in the area again.

After walking through the busy bar you enter a spacious private room that includes a bar and personal music system. Pat, the event coordinator, was amazing every step of the way, very helpful, knowledgeable and informative. The personal wait staff for the party was great, always around and ready. What I was most pleased with was the food. People always remember the food from the party and the food provided from Mahoneys and their kitchen staff was great. The penne vodka was flavorful and creamy and the chicken Marsala complimented it well. The party was around 60 people and we had plenty of food, people went up for 2nd and 3rd and we still had leftovers. And did I mention affordable?? Like I said before, amazing experience definitely recommend for anyone throwing a small party, between the food, service and space they knocked it out.

They have an eclectic menu; with Irish classics of course, Mexican, Italian and American favorites. Our Server was Kelly. It was a slow Sunday afternoon. Down the block was a Oaxacan festival Guelaguetza; plenty of food there, but it was a hot and humid day and the food stalls added more heat. We thought why not get a cold beer in an air conditioned place. Free WiFi Password - Guinness TV's all over the place, with different sports on them. Beer: ales, IPA's, pilsners. Mixed drinks. Cold cans of beer on ice. I asked Why no bottles? There's a college nearby and a glass bottle could pose a problem. A daily event calendar: karaoke night, trivia night, see photo. I can imagine on a weekend night this place is really hopping. The Poughkeepsie Metro North station is within walking distance. They have parking and outdoor dining options. We will be back.
