Throughout the evening there were various live musicians in the room next door. We heard bagpipes in the beginning and as we left there was a live Irish guitarist. For food, we started with the carrots. They were phenomenal and everyone's favorite part of the meal - there were very delicious caramelized bits and the sauce was flavorful and complementary. I had the shrimp and butternut squash ravioli and everything was well cooked and seasoned. It was a rich dish, with butternut squash and shrimp on top of the various. Everyone really liked their dishes. And the creme brûlée we ended with was delicious as well. I'd definitely recommend Garvan's when you're in town!!

They have an eclectic menu; with Irish classics of course, Mexican, Italian and American favorites. Our Server was Kelly. It was a slow Sunday afternoon. It is lined up right in Main Street with other smaller restaurants and bars. This was one of my favorite cheap eateries in the town while I was in college. I have been here twice since for happy hour specials. I ordered the chicken wings and the shrimp tacos. The drinks were around $5 which is a steal compared to New York City prices. In the past they used to offer a large fishbowl drink for your birthday. It was huge and took several people to drink it. Currently it is the size of a large cup as you can see in the picture. It does the job but it is much smaller than what it was in 2010. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I usually sit at the bar which is a great place to meet others and watch the game. Everyone usually comes in for drinks and a quick meal. There are large tables for families to come in and spread out. Everyone was nice here. I plan to come back soon and take advantage of the happy hour specials again.

But it was a good meal. The Cottage Pie was pretty good..again, I prefer the classics so I would rather a Shepherd's Pie ( with seasoned ground lamb and not beer ), but it was still a nice comfort meal. The decor is cute..I miss the dim light and warm / dark woods and colors that you expect in an Irish pub. I met the owner on the first visit and she is very nice and I wish her great luck..but the kids who work there have very little passion or personality unfortunately. This really is a nice little place and I hope it succeeds..but it has a few up hill issues..first is its smack in the center of many already establishment great restaurants the other big one is this: 75% of people who live up here moved from Southern Westchester or the Bronx..what does that mean? ..it means we all grew up on Rorys!!! And that is what we are seeking up here. Anyway, nice little place for a comfort meal if you are tired of Good Chinese or Italian. Enjoy!
