carlos assisted me with my intro session, as i wanted to start with cold plunge and end with sauna. you get 15 min in the cold plunge room, with a shower right next to it, and in the sauna room you get an hour, also shower in room. i don't mind switching rooms, actually i likely prefer it, and they do have a little beauty bar in the back with blowdryers, straighteners and mirrors to put yourself together after your session. the sauna session was so amazing, it's set at 147 but you can adjust it up to 170. the cold plunge was my first one, it was difficult but i got the hang of it. it did worry me a bit that there were a lot of oils in the water and a hair that clearly wasn't blonde in it... i was told from my intro session if i signed up same day i'd get $40 off the membership. i looked through all the options, committed to the 2x monthly package, then was told that was the only package that didn't include the discount. no big deal but it shouldn't have been the first thing advertised. I mentioned that I might want to cancel because it is a bit far for me to travel on a regular basis, but I wanted to see if it was worth it to prioritize into my schedule. they didn't make it clear how to cancel. I've been two more times and there's always some oils in the cold plunge tubs which makes me hesitant, but the private infrared sauna suites are amazing and 100% worth it. read more

I personally love using the facilities, they offer everything you'd need for contrast therapy. For the people that are germ conscious, public precautions need to be taken. My concern is the last few times I've been in, at night, it definitely has the musk of stinky sweaters. I was really put off by the amount of couples they were checking in today, with some having not great hygiene. The rooms are already small, I couldn't imagine two to a room. CLEANLINESS WARNING: I contracted plantar warts on my feet after visiting this location and using my personal sauna barefoot. Paying $220 a month only to end up with HPV on my feet--and being unable to exercise for two months due to the pain--is unacceptable. While they claim to clean the facilities thoroughly after each use, it's clearly not the case. On top of that, their app is a nightmare to use. What a perfect way to relax! After seeing a great review of SweatHouz on social media, I decided to book the intro package and schedule a visit. Ashley greeted me and gave me a tour of the rooms I'd be using and set me up in the infared sauna. It was so relaxing, and a great added touch that you could hook up your phone for music! The Vitamin C shower following was amazing- I don't think I've ever felt that clean! I was nervous to try the cold plunge, but the staff was super helpful and I was able to be in there for a little under a minute. It was an amazing way to spend a Sunday with your homegirl. Let me preface by saying we are women of a certain age. I have a co-worker whose much younger than I and said you can do it and I said you are crazy. So my friend and I did the intro infrared sauna with vitamin C shower, followed by the cold plunge. The sauna was great, we even watched a quick video They Cloned Tyrone with Jamie Foxx (funny by the way). We took quick intermittent vitamin C showers just to cool you down a bit because the sauna session is an hour. The cold plunge was intense but so worth it. My friend got all the way to her shoulders in 45 degree water. I got to just under my arms. Will definitely do this again. read more

I took my girlfriend with me as my guest and we very comfortably fit in the private sauna and cold plunge suites. Extremely clean and well designed spot. The vitamin C showers in both the saunas and cold plunge have super high quality shampoos, conditioners, and body wash to cleanse the sweat off you after the sauna, and warm you back up after the cold plunge. The staff is very friendly and walk you through everything from start to finish. The owner, Nico, is so passionate and truly cares about his customers. Love this whole concept. A few spas in the area offer infrared saunas for a similar price but without the private showers/suite. I did the intro price ($40) for a basic suite, one hour. It's regularly $50. It seems like they have options for the sauna suite plus other immunities like the cold plunge and massage pod but it was a little hard to navigate info about this on the website. The sign in the suite also said that it's $25 extra for another person, they rent couples suites but def book in advance bc they are limited. Very nice and clean private suite, the worker explained everything. They even have an iPad you can use in the sauna that you can use to play songs and pod casts over the sauna speakers. Warning though not the most ideal to bring into the sauna bc it gets hot obviously so once you find something put it outside. The sauna was boring as expected but the podcast I listened to really helped. *one major thing- they tell you to wear as little clothing as possible and that you can wrap yourself up in the towel. I *had not* realized that there is a little window that was above my eye level so for a while I was topless and wrapped in a towel from the waist down lol - I know they have it there for safety but a warning would have been nice As soon as I realized I changed into the swim suit I brought. I recommend that because wrapping up in a towel in a super hot sauna gets really uncomfortable. All the extras were nice- shower gel, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, even a cold compress, 2 towels, and shower caps. The shower was nice, I didn't notice a difference with the vitamin C infusion shower verses regular water I'm used to but with the hot and cold contrast of the sauna and a cool shower I felt amazing afterwards. Another fyi- if you can't climb the steps to the second floor for whatever reason call them and ask them to tell you where the elevator is- there are no signs but that's assembly row's fault not Sweat Houz's. Highly recommend, I know it's $50 + (or membership) but I feel like it's a really nice stress reduction activity to do occasionally. read more

This is such an amazing place! You go in and get to decide on a cold scented towel, offered a water or you can fill up your own bottle, shown to your private room then the magic begins. Sauna for 45 mins or however long you can last, this is such a relaxing experience but you will sweat! You have your own personal shower to cool off and rinse off with a vitamin c rinse. Such a unique experience. There is a hydro massage and cold plunge pool. I will most definitely go back and reccomend this as a way to relax, destress and detoxify. Highly recommend. read more

I am finally taking the opportunity to compose this long overdue review of what I consider one of the best new attractions over in the Assembly Row neighborhood. It has been an absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to visit a sauna that is the first of it's kind in the Boston Metro region. Every time I make a visit, I am always greeted and assisted by a wonderful team of professional staff who are truly passionate in providing the best experience for their patrons. The number one thing that I love about this studio is the sheer amount of options to truly customize your self-care experience. This includes the selection of scented cold compresses, the choice of colors in the in sauna LED-light therapy, and the magnitude of media that is available on provided the in-room iPad that is assessable upon every visit. I honestly have very little constructive feedback to offer because I think that the management, specifically Tara has set such a high standard of excellence. Along with her and the rest of the team, I cannot emphasize how much I appreciate their dedication. Perhaps the addition of wash cloths can compliment the array of personal care products that are offered at the conclusion of the sauna session. I love coming here after my workout. It is always incredibly clean in every suite I've been in - sauna, cold plunge and hydro massage. The staff are amazing and always go the extra mile. Tara is fantastic! She is warm, welcoming and helpful through every process. Heather is also a rock star - she literally coached me through my first cold plunge because I was intimidated and now I love it. Jackie runs a professional and friendly location and it shows in how many people have started coming and keep coming. So I'll start with the good: The space seems clean and the amenities are wonderful. I did an hour long session in the infrared sauna and also did a cold plunge session. I feel amazing after doing it. I found the rooms to be really nice and the sauna and cold plunge worked great. The water in the cold plunge was 50 degrees fahrenheit and it was a very bracing and invigorating experience. I had ten minutes in the room and did three separate plunges during that time. The water seemed clean. They had a shower that they recommended you use before, which was nice. And they had plenty of towels and bathmats. The infrared sauna was in it's own room as well. It got really hot, which was just what I wanted. The room was spacious and also had towels, a shower, soap, shampoo, conditioner facewash, and even shower caps (not needed for me since I'm bald, but a very nice touch.) Also good was part of the service. Stay tuned because the bad stuff is the other part of the service. The girl who answered the phone when I made the booking and who was the one who greeted me was a nice woman named Tara. She had glasses, braids and dark skin. I'm being specific because I never was introduced to her but I heard someone else call her Tara. She was very nice and friendly. She greeted me with a smile, asked me some questions and was really helpful. She was great on the phone and great in person, very nice and welcoming. Here comes the bad: The other person who was the one who showed me the facilities was not so nice. I think her name was Jackie, but I don't know for sure. She is white, has a tattoo on her neck and maybe dreadlocks, hard to tell because her hair was drawn up. She was the person who showed me the facilities. She spoke way too fast and only briefly covered some things. There were lots of things that I didn't know, like what was the ipad for? Was it to play music? Did it connect to the speakers in the sauna? Would my phone connect to the speakers in the sauna? I asked her a few questions and she seemed genuinely frustrated that I was interrupting her and annoyed that I was taking up too much time. I got the sense that she wanted me to get in and get out as soon as possible. It prevented me from asking more questions. She really put a damper on the whole appointment. Overall I got what I wanted as I felt good after and I loved most of the experience. But the one member of the staff I spent the most time with really did not put me at ease. It's a great deal for the monthly membership as I attempt to go 3-4 times as week. I feel so relaxed and warmer in general. My skin is clear and glowing. I feel detoxified. My partner and I booked an appointment for 1:45 for cold plunges and sweat session. We went today and the girl at the front could not find our cold plunge appointments and told us we didn't have an appointment for those and our appointment was at 2:15 for the sauna only. She was very matter of fact and not the most customer service savvy employee (rude). I then told her that we booked with the manager and she found one cold plunge appointment miraculously. I asked if she could call her manager because we drove an hour for these appointments and she said, "no, she won't pick up." I think this is what frustrated me the most, that she didn't care one bit and couldn't be bothered to either accommodate us or call her manager. Also she said 1:45 pm was their cleaning time (how bout clean the plunge right after us). I didn't want to do the cold plunge and leave my partner out , so I tried again with this girl and she told me not to get upset with her as she was "only the girl at the desk." The thing is I wasn't upset just frustrated about the lack of customer service and rudeness of this employee. This place has lousy customer service and even if there is something wrong with your booking, don't expect to have it resolved. I can only wonder how this place runs from the day to day. read more

I do not recommend it because of the people that work there and they don't clean and prepare the rooms...they are not friendly and not accommodating at all especially the manager Jackie...she refused to accommodate me when I found feces or a brown stain on the wall.. she claimed it was glue... i do not know what it was but did not want to look at it while i was in their or smell it once the heat started up ... she refused to put me in another room and told me to get dressed !!! she did not prepare my room when I first went in...the power was off so a half hour out of my 60 minute session was gone dealing with this and she would not add the time back.. then she assaulted me as i was recording what she was doing and how she was treating me ... some of the staff act like they don't want to be there and they do not clean the rooms...they have done nothing about the assault with the manager Jackie read more

I would have rated this place a 5/5 if it was not for the horrible customer service I received by the general manager Jackie. I booked an appointment (as a gift) online for a family member. I had a few questions about their policies and services, which seem to vary online and over the phone. When I called instead of being patient, Jackie was rude, dismissive and short tempered. Our interaction was discouraging and I honestly was not interested in spending my money here. But, because this was a gift I kept the appointment. My family member thoroughly enjoyed the services overall. When I heard about this location opening up I was really excited, the prices are great, but the booking experience and customer service definitely needs major improvement read more

I tentatively like this place. Tried it after a boxing class and it was nice that it was right next door to my fitness studio of choice. Everyone was friendly but the explanations were brief. The sauna felt like the perfect temperature and there is an iPad in the suite. It has a couple meditation apps but I was sad the studio didn't have their own subscription to these apps pre entered so I couldn't use them since I wasn't going to buy a subscription. When I come back- which I probably will when having an d tea stressful week or something- I would book a room further into the place. I booked room 2 which was near the entrance and the soundproofing in each suite is minimal at best so I could hear talking in the lobby and music from outside. If I was in a deeper room that may not have been an issue but it did diminish the experience a bit. I'll likely come back and I think it would be wonderful with some extra touches. read more
