The most expensive dry cleaning service I've ever had the displeasure of using. Convenient location, but you are better off finding a family-run business to support. 1 designer men's shirt cost me $26 and a women's jacket for $16? Even in Los Angeles these two would cost me max $15 together. INSANE! read more

I have been a customer of Swansons for several years now. I guess the service would be of what you expected. Decent. You drop your clothes off, they get cleaned, and then you pick them up when they are ready. The customer service has always been ok. There is one girl, I believe her name is Melissa, who is always pretty personable and very friendly. The rest of the staff...not so much. Anyhow, I have never thought to Yelp this place because the service is of expected. But as soon as something goes wrong...you can see the true colors of the business you are working with. How they handle the situation is what keeps you a customer or not. Getting to the point, my clothes were dropped off at somebody else's house and now Swansons is having a difficult time retrieving them. I understand mistakes happen. I can buy new clothes. But to be told, that Mr. Swanson is taking the stance as it is "not his fault." Is what I am most disappointed about. He claims I had the wrong address in their system, therefore it is my fault. Well, I haven't used their drop off service in 2 years and of the 5 years as their customer I only used it once. I came to pick up my clothes as normal, and as I was told, some other employee marked them for drop off when they shouldn't have been. Anyhow, I digress...I guess I figured as a supposed valued customer, that instead of being told, "get over it. Not our fault," I would have hoped for a possible solution to resolve this issue and at least try to keep my business. Swansons does not care for their customers. They care for your money. And it's unfortunate this is how I found out, but this experience has left an awful taste in my mouth on how they conduct business, and yeah, I won't ever be returning to any Swansons location...ever. And unless you are feeling lucky, I would recommend taking your clothes somewhere else too....somewhere that cares about their customers and appreciate their business. read more

I'm angry. I told the clerk I use another card. The clerk click on my existing card file. Employees don't do refunds. I asked the clerk call the manager. The manager told the clerk she doing refund tomorrow. I need to come back tomorrow. Bad business and services. read more

What is on my mind.. shame on me for not looking. I went to Swanson's cleaners in Granite bay(could be part of the reason for this note). I ASSUMED that men's shirts for wash and press would approx be somewhere between $2-3 each.. When I picked up the clothes I did not look at the billing until I noticed in my on line banking the charge was just over $76 for 12 shirts.. When I dropped them off there was NO mention of my shirts being more than the usual charge. I called and was told that my shirts had to be special handled. That was not explained to me when I turned them in for cleaning and pressing.. Wow $6 a shirt.. well that will not happen again at any Swanson"s ...my BIG$$ mistake read more

Here is my story: Bought a beautiful white dress for my moms funeral service in October and brought it to Swanson's cleaners for a one day service, along with another dress for my sister, and a dress shirt for my brother-in-law. My fiance picked up all the clothes the next day and I didn't look at my dress until the morning of the service. There were 2 huge stains (looked like sweat stains) on the front of the dress, and 2 black spots on the back. There was nothing I could do - I had to wear it. I cried. About a week later, we took the dress back and Swanson's did another cleaning on it. This time, it came back with 2 additional stains on it! By the way, they had to clean it twice this go around since they couldn't get the stains out (the stains THEY had put there). So at this point, they have washed it 3 times. We were given a paper that said that if they cleaned it again, it could ruin the fabric. Unfortunately, the black stains were still there and the 2 new stains also.... so we had to take it back. After the 4th cleaning, the stains were STILL THERE!!! I have not taken it back, but I believe Swanson's owes me my original cleaning fee back, AND they should have to pay for this dress - which was $120... not cheap! This is the most ridiculous thing ever and I can't even bring myself to walk into this place again, which is why I have not gone back. Although the employees were very nice, they did not act like they cared, and in fact, joked about how they were supposed to take stains off and they put them on.... I didn't laugh. Another note - the morning of my moms service, they lost my brother-in-laws shirt. How do you lose a shirt!?!? They found it literally 5 minutes before we were to leave and he had to change in a parking lot. In my opinion, this is unacceptable. I don't know how this cleaners stays in business with service like this. Good luck to anyone trying to wear clean clothes, cause you won't if you bring them here! read more

Two weeks ago I bought four dress shirts for cleaning and a football jersey in to have the numbers re-stitched. The lady said she could have he shirts ready in a couple days and my jersey would take at least a week. I picked up the shirts and they were done perfectly, but when I returned for the jersey the numbers were not re-stitched but the jersey was cleaned. I asked why the Jersey was not repaired and the lady said that it was not on the ticket so I asked what kind of discount I would receive she said none. So they're making me pay $13 for washing a jersey which was completely secondary to what I can in for. Avoid going to this unscrupulous business at all costs, it was my first visit and most definitely my last. read more

This was my first visit to Swanson's Cleaners although I have lived down the street for over 25 years. I had heard they were pricey, but I decided to try them out since I was in a hurry and work in the same mall at my store, the bamboo source. The clerk who took in my order approached me with a smile rather than a grimace. I always appreciate an employee who likes her job. She signed me up for email and was fresh and enthusiastic thru out the process. When I was late picking up my item, I received an email reminder which I responded to. That was also a plus. I was not responding to a robot. When I picked up my item, the next clerk was just as friendly although it was very hot in the store. I thought she must really be a good employee, because this job is in a hot place. And all the chemicals around her? Good for her. My items were completely cleaned. I appreciate and will return to Swanson Cleaners in the Country Gables Shopping Center in Granite Bay. read more

Not impressed AT ALL. I had a tiny mark on my wedding dress I took in to be cleaned. They wanted over $30 for one tiny spot, so I took it home, and it came right off with soap and water. Lesson learned. read more

Swansons is a great neighborhood cleaners. Swansons is consistent and has friendly staff. Now I'm trying home delivery. So far so good.

I have a wool coat that I really like. It was on my back seat and at some point made its way to the floor and had yogurt spilled on it by my children. I didn't find it till days later and the yogurt was dried hard. When I discovered it I put it on my garage work bench thinking perhaps I would try to work on it with a stiff scrub brush. To add insult to injury, the next day I found two of my cats curled up on it, cat hair covering it. With disgust for the disaster that it had become, I dropped it off at Granite Bay Swansons Cleaners. I just signed a waiver and asked them to see what they could do. They completely saved it, and for only $10. I would have happily paid double or more. This was my first experience here, and now it will be my go-to cleaners. read more

Horrible customer service. If you call the main office, you can get great service by someone who understands. The people in the store(Granite Bay)are not knowledgeable, have zero concept of customer service and generally are apathetic. I took 6 shirts in for laundry and when I picked them up the total was $60. As I expressed my surprise the counter girl started telling me "cotton is an upcharge, colors are an upcharge, white is an upcharge." I left and called the home office and Esther was very helpful and understanding and issued a credit for the overcharge. If that was the end of the story, I would still be a customer. Over my next few visits I inquired as to the remaining balance of the credit. No one could tell me so I asked an employee to check on it and call me. Received a prompt call informing me there was zero credit remaining. Knowing this could not be true, I called Esther, She apologized and said they would get it fixed. Picked up another order of 5 shirts and they wanted $20(reasonable except my remaining credit was $20). I asked what the total was and the person said $40. Again got the spiel on upcharges. Left the store leaving my shirts there as the girl refused to call anyone or make any effort to fix the problem. Called Esther, she fixed the problem. I will not return. read more
