One of the cheapest and best quality nail salons I have ever been to. I got a mani/pedi PLUS a back massage during the pedi, and a back & shoulder massage while my mani dried. I've been here a few times and am certain I'll never visit another nail salon in Gainesville. I've gotten a gel polish with a few different people, and each time it comes out amazing. The best job has been when the male staffer did my nails, however. The nail polish is really long lasting and every staffer does a clean polished job. The prices are reasonable ($20 for just the polish not the manicure) and the place is very clean. The staff is really friendly, too. I've yet to be disappointed. I got a full set of short gel acrylics. I asked for coffin shape but the nails were definitely too short to shape like that so they were more rectangular. I was told after gluing the plastic nails on that it would be $57. After she applied the acrylic, she told me it would actually be $50. I was told that a refill starts at $38 and goes up. I've gotten a full gel set, coffin shaped, and very long for $40 and refills for $30 elsewhere in Gainesville. The nails were decent and they've lasted, but I wasn't impressed and the price definitely wasn't worth it. I won't be going back, mostly because of the price. read more

I came here for a French pedi after an INCREDIBLY disappointing experience at TJ's. For $25($20 for regular polish) I was taken care of right away, they asked what I wanted and spoke enough English to understand my requests (unlike tj s) and did a very methodical and thorough job. Everything seemed clean and there seemed to be alot of regulars. The only reason I only didn't give 5 stars is because the calf massage was really just wiping lotion on my legs, I wouldn't need a massage, but if it's given it should be a massage, not like putting suntan lotion on, it seemed like going trough the motions. The nail tech I got was not good. I have a bad memory but I do remember my toes getting painted haphazardly and barely cleaned.

A $20 pedicure they were polite, friendly and a clean facility. Got me right in and were very efficient.

Went here after a recommendation from a friend but was pretty disappointed. I got a pedicure with a friend for my birthday and felt rushed. They didn't scrub the legs and gave a very quick "massage". The paint job was a little sloppy, but still better than I could have done. I would recommend other places in the area before this one for a pedicure. read more

I had a bad experience here a while ago. The tech started distractedly buffing one of my toes very hard, hard enough that I said OUCH! So, she moved to the other toe, and the same thing happened. Then, we realized both toes were now bleeding...a lot. She had rubbed the skin right off and left big holes. The worst part was when she took the damp towel (that had god knows what kind of bacteria on it) and tried to stop the bleeding. I swore if I didn't die from some scary infection, I would never go there for another pedicure. And, while it wasn't much of a challenge to do so, I haven't. read more

I'm sorry. I tried to like this salon. Plain and simple, my pedicure looked horrible. It felt rushed, the polish job was horrible. There were spots completely missed on my toes. I have one little area on one foot that gets easily calloused. That area didn't feel any smoother than when I walked in. i've been looking for a place in gainesville that would give me a good OPI pedicure at a good price for a very long time. i just happened to move down the street a few weeks ago and passed this place so i decided to go in and try it out. i'm so glad i did! they have a great selection of OPI and china glaze nailpolishes. the pedicure was not rushed (as you find in most places like this) and she actually gave a nice massage. it was clean and seemed fairly popular, my only complaint being i had to wait a little bit before i could get in. the staff encouraged me to grab a magazine and just relax and didn't try to bother me with chit chat. that is one of the things i appreciated the most; i'm very busy and i like a little "me time" every once and a while. i will definitely be coming back! read more

My experience at this place just got worst and worst. To start off the owner was super rude. I asked her if she could reach for a color under the main desk and she replied with "No its too far". I forgot about it and asked for an acrylic set. The guy was in a super rush the entire time and they came out horribly. They were all different shapes, they were super wide and poorly done. When I brought this to the owners attention, she simply said "we can either reshape them or cut them off" mind you, it was already after hours. I asked for them to be cut off and they look even worse than when I walked in. I now have super short acrylic nails that are all cut unevenly and I now have to soak my nails in acetone. Not to mention the owner didn't offer me anything she still made me pay the $30. I will never step foot in this place again. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism in a nail salon. read more

Good prices. Went with my two goddaughter and they both had their nails done and I had a pedicure all came out great. One did regular polish and one did shellac . My only issue is they cut my toenails shorter then I like but I should have told them to leave them longer. read more

Saturday I took my daughter here for a pedicure and had several issues .... they did not let her use the pedicure chair they put her in a office chair and only painted her toes but charged for a pedicure.... then the girl up sold my 5 YEAR OLD to nail art on 2 nails at 5$ a piece for a "FLOWER" that consisted of 4 dots ( and once my daughter said yes I will not be the one break her heart if she wanted it ) but she should not have been given the option with out asking me first -- then as the girl was painting her nails she watered down the polish I didnt think it was a big deal as i have seen this done hundreds of times getting my nails done. she continued painting my daughters nails never said another word to her aside from asking her if she wanted her hands done AND NAIL ART TO MATCH again WHO UP SELLS A 5 YEAR OLD!!!! But my little girl is happy as can be so I dont say anything. (It should also be noted I tipped 35%) We continue about our day and after dinner she noticed her nails had absolutely NO POLISH ON THEM-- her grandmother takes her back to the salon and asks what can be done they refused to refund which was fine didnt expect that WE JUST WANTED IT DONE RIGHT-- they scheduled an appointment to redo her hands a few days later but refused to fix her toes. They insinuated she picked the polish off! my daughter was tickled even more pink than the polish she chose and felt so grown up and she will leave polish on at home for weeks with out touching it I was outraged. I literally made a yelp just to review this place. While i'm sure the other nail technicians are good at what they do, the old lady at this place that I got stuck with, did a terrible job. She had an issue taking off my previous Gel nail polish, shown by her scowling and huffing and puffing when she realized she was going to have to work to take it off. Got charged 5 extra dollars for that. (Gel Nail removal) Both my toes and fingers have several bubbles underneath the nail polish which are clearly visible and there are many spots where the nail polish is all over my skin surrounding the actual nail. Not sure why this place has good reviews. Don't allow the OLDER woman to do your nails when you come, request someone else because she seriously did a terrible job. read more

Not good--go elsewhere. I figured I would try this place out as it's close to my house, but was a bit wary after reading some poor reviews--I should have listened to them. I got a pedicure and the tech (I believe her name was Nu) cut too close with the cuticle nippers then sprayed my toes with rubbing alcohol before polishing (as you can imagine this burned to no end). She then spent about 5 minutes effortlessly "massaging" my lower legs. She then did a sloppy job painting on two coats of polish (I could have done better with my non-dominant hand) before calling another tech over to do a simple design. The other tech came over, asking if I wanted lines or flowers and provided no examples of designs she was capable of doing (although she was clearly more capable than the other tech and actually did a nice design, although I had no choice as to which design she did). Both techs then left me sitting in the pedicure chair without saying anything (so I just sat there until my nails were somewhat dry and walked up to the front desk to pay). The worst part about it was that everyone working there was complaining about what a slow day it had been, but rushed through my pedicure and showed no hospitality whatsoever. It could be that it was slow because of the quality of work they do. I have read nice things about Swan, but she needs to hire some competent staff if she wants to stay in business.
