I couldn't recommend Dr. Liu and his team more! For many years I have been considering a breast augmentation but was very hesitant about the commitment/outcome/procedure in general. I live in San Francisco so my journey naturally started by calling around in my area. I'm not one to leave a review to complain. But I just thought others should know my experiences. I had the cellulite treatment QWO on my buttocks(can only be done on the butt) and it left me with huge permanent blackish spots where the bruising used to be. I was not told that that was going to be a possibility. Was told that they'll be bruising but it'll go away. Not my butt looks like I have huge blackish birthmarks(the size of my fist). I'm seriously so sadden by this. I don't know if I can ever wear a bikini anymore without being self conscious. And they can't even do anything about it:( I also had the Miradry procedure to get rid of my underarm sweating. Spent bout $2300 and no change. Also so sad bout this cause I was under the impression that it'll be gone after one time. They said the second time around they'll use baking powder to specifically target the sweat gland to make sure they get it. I don't understand why that wasn't done the first time!!! Overall, I came here thinking I can solve couple of my beauty flaws. Instead I'm left with blacken scars and nothing fixed. I'm in tears whenever I see my backside:'( if I can post it, I would. I'm a fan of this place. The service has always been pleasant and not pretentious. I've bought my favorite products from here and have gotten Botox as well. During my Botox appointment the nurse listened to my concerns especially about not wanting my brows done too much because it stretched my skin around the eyebrow too tight. The Botox results were great but I did have bruising for 2 weeks. I don't mind the bruising but I did get some comments from a few people asking why my crows feet area had bruises. But with the results I got, I didn't really mind the bruising. It's a hit or miss depending who you go to, I think. Dr. Jerome Liu is absolutely trustworthy, professional and the most humble/ smartest doctor I've ever met. The attached photos speak a million words about his work but finding the right surgeon was not easy. I will talk about my experiences with other plastic surgeons in this next paragraph. Dr. Liu was my 4 consultation with a plastic surgeon and I've never felt so comfortable. My first consultation, the doctor tried to say I needed full body lipo to make sure that when I gained weight, the fat would distribute well throughout the body and not in awkward places (keep in mind this was 3 years ago when I was at least 30 pounds lighter). She also had concerns about my skin laxity on my upper stomach and she recommended that I didn't do lipo on my upper stomach. My second consult the doctor saw me for a minute and he said I was the perfect candidate for lipo. He said he would take care of everything even though skin laxity was a bit of a problem. The consult felt rushed and I felt like the doctor didn't listen to my concerns or find the best procedure for me. He was a very popular plastic surgeon but made me feel weird, just the vibe I got so I gave up on my cosmetic surgery goals for a few years. It was too stressful and I was confused. Both the doctors were extremely cocky (or maybe they were trying to be confident) and I felt like they were looking down upon me. My third consult was with a very expensive about to retire doc that basically quoted me 13K not including surgery center fees and not including anesthesiology fees. Omg, I was completely shocked. He said the surgery would take 4 hours for full stomach lipo, full back lipo and lipo on my love handles. He marked me all up during my consult so I felt confident in his work but he stressed me out because he was talking through everything he was going to do. During all my consults including Dr. Liu's I just felt like the before and after pictures were average. I wasn't super impressed to be honest so I lost hope again. NOTE: none of these docs even spoke to me about fat transfer to the butt or boobs. Any younger patient would love to have a bigger butt (well at least in my opinion). Okay, now let's talk about how amazing Dr. Liu is and how much I love him. Dr. Liu cares about his patients and gives you the right advise. We didn't even talk about safety much since he has never had a problem with his patients under surgery. You can tell that safety is the number one priority for Dr. Liu by just the way he talks. During the consultation, Dr. Liu just listened and asked questions then listened some more. He doesn't say much but when he talks it's like wow life changing. We talked about my skin laxity concerns that other surgeons implanted in my head. Dr. Liu said that I'm young with very nice thick skin so skin laxity isn't a problem. We talked about gaining weight in the future and that's when he recommended fat transfer to the butt or boobs. Fat transfer is very important when doing liposuction procedures because the fat that is removed is liquid gold and if you don't use it - you lose it. Fat transfer is like an insurance plan for your liposuction procedure. Not only does it help the surgeon contour your body, but if you gain weight in the future, the fat cells transferred have memory and you will most likely not gain weight in weird places like your arms or calves. Genius!!! So we decided that liposuction + BBL (fat transfer to the butt) was the perfect procedure for me. The surgery was 3.5 hours and the results are unbelievable. I want to mention that my patient care coordinator Beth is so so so great. She's so energetic and happy all the time. She got me so excited for my surgery and helped me with financing since cosmetic surgery is expensive (Dr. Liu is very reasonable with pricing procedures). Thank you Beth for following up with me and scheduling the surgery prior to COVID-19 epidemic or else I probably wouldn't have reached up until Fall or even next year. For years I've wanted to have a specific procedure done but I couldn't decide on where to go. One of my friends (who got that same procedure) referred me to Dr Jerome Liu. I've gotten referrals before and normally I take them all with a grain of salt, but she showed me her results and I was blown away. So I decided to schedule a consultation. Noel was my patient care coordinator and she made setting up my consultation appointment very smooth. I had so many questions on the phone because I was pretty nervous (this was my first surgery), and she answered all of them easily. She also explained to me step-by-step how this process would work if I decided to go through with my procedure, so I knew exactly what to expect. The day of my consultation was also my first time stepping into the office. Both the office and parking were really easy to find and the interior was so different than any other medical office I've ever been in. Everything was so clean and aesthetically pleasing, and they took all the necessary precautions to make sure the space was covid-safe. Dr Liu and his staff were all super welcoming and he had an entire presentation about my procedure options. Of course I had more questions, and he answered them all with detail and in a way that helped me gain a better understanding (I do not have a medical degree). You can just tell he's intelligent and obviously an expert in his field, but he also has a sense of humor which helps puts his patients at ease! The consultation appointment overall went great and I was so excited to schedule my pre-op and operation. During my pre-op, Carmen was my medical assistant and she really played a huge role in calming any nerves that I had about this procedure. She made me feel so comfortable and everything from then on was just easy. All the documents I needed to sign were in the online portal. She went over the steps on what to do before surgery and after surgery (also included in the portal). I was given my prescriptions so I could pick up all my necessary medication for post surgery beforehand. Carmen made sure I was well-prepared and by the day of my operation, I was ready. The day of my surgery was a little blurry (thanks to the anesthesia). But I do remember how easy it was checking in at the surgery center. The nurses there made sure I was comfortable while I was in the waiting room and Dr Liu stepped out to say hi before surgery and also go over last minute steps. His bedside manner is truly amazing and all my nerves were gone at that point. All I remember is closing my eyes and then waking up to hear that the surgery went smoothly, just as expected. Probably one of the biggest regrets of my life. Dr. Tom Lui has not only made me feel worse about my appearance but has made my breathing worse. In June 2016 I received a Septo/Rhinoplasty. The consultation experience was average, I told Dr. Lui what I wanted and he said he could do all I asked. After having my surgery that took 7 hours. After the two weeks, he tells me a need an extra week with the spint, I don't think much of it. The final removal comes and my nose doesn't look any different, if anything it looks bigger and wider than before. I just see the bump shaved but even that wasn't done properly, my nose was still wide and the tip was not different. After voicing my concerns he tells me to wait, and come back. Also forces me to buy a $90 serum for my "scar" that I didn't need. I come back and he tells me that my bones just didn't want to mold into place and that my skin is too thick. IM SORRY WHY DID I JUST PAY A FORTUNE FOR NO CHANGE?!? I think to myself, breathe it's ok they've got to do what's right and figure out a solution. The client Coordonator Beth hears my story and pretends like she cares and wants to help. But then later her and Dr Lui tell me thst they're only going to charge me another 5k for what they couldn't do in the first place. Did I trust them? Hell no, I wasn't not going to give another cent to this business, for something that the Dr wasn't capable of doing the first time. it's 4 years later and I've lost all complete breathing in my nose, not only did the appearance look horrible but they didn't even do the septoplasty correctly so now I can't breathe from my nose. Please just DO NOT come here for Rhinoplasty, they are by far the worst and people don't deserve to go through what I went UPDATE: I was referred by my physician to go to a specialist and they took a CT scan of my nose. The doctor emailed me the results of my scan (the screenshot is below) Basically telling me that I have severe nasal obstruction in many different ways that I never had before my surgery with Dr. Tom Lui. I remember voicing my concerns about not being able to breathe AFTER my surgery and Dr. Lui said "it's just your sinuses because of allergies" THE ONE THING THAT IS FINE WITH MY NOSE ACCORDING TO THE CT SCAN IS MY SINUSES! From the moment I walked in to their office it was clean and beautiful. The staff is absolutely amazing and make you feel cared about from the start. Beth is amazing at what she does, she makes you feel like you are good friends from the second you meet her. All my nerves about my procedure went out the window by the second consultation with Beth (I knew I was in good hands). (I understand it might not be like this for everyone) I used barely any of my pain medicine, extra strength Tylenol did the trick. Oh my freakkin gaawd! I just got my lippies done n they look gorj!!! I lovem! I've always had relatively full lips but I wanted them to be bigger but was afraid that it could jack up my face if they donno what they're doin but I'm sooooo happy I found Dr. Liu He is such an amazing doc, very knowledgeable, fashion forward, he is a great listener, very honest; he talked me outta other procedures I had in mind bcz they're were not worth the barely noticeable and temporary results .. sigh .. The scar on my face has been getting more noticeable as I crossed through middle age, so I decided to check out the possibility of plastic surgery to try to minimize it. I went to a well-reviewed office in Palo Alto and the nice doctor there gave me a $2500 estimate. This was more than I was thinking. I looked in the South Bay and saw the high reviews for Liu Plastic Surgery. I made an appointment and met Jerome Liu. He is very personable and gives a very competent impression. His quote was multiples less than the Palo Alto office and I immediately agreed to the procedure. They scheduled me a few weeks out and I had to reschedule two times; they were very flexible and understanding about that. Today I went in and signed papers and had the operation. The office staff is very friendly and professional. The outpatient surgery is performed in a typical-style exam office. He shot me up 6 times with lidocaine till I was good and numb. Then he covered my eyes with a towel and got to work. He cut the scar our with a scalpel and then sewed 6 internal stitches and 10 external ones. It took about 45 minutes and was similar to being in the dentist chair for a procedure. So far I am very pleased and satisfied and would recommend Liu Plastic Surgery. read more

I am INCREDIBLY HAPPY with my results! I had never done Botox injections before and was nervous that it might look unnatural. I was understandably somewhat on edge as I walked through the door of SVIA for my appointment with Physician Assistant, Alice Du. My feelings of unease and apprehension were alleviated the moment Alice greeted me. She is incredibly friendly and sincere while remaining professional, mindful, and thorough; she seemed tremendously knowledgeable. Her caring for her client receiving services is outstanding. Alice was very informative and professional walking me through every step. She did an excellent job with product placement and has a good eye for what looks good. I started to see results approximately a week post injections. I now look subtly different, more refreshed and awake. Worst results ever. I had a rhinoplasty done by Dr. Jerome Lui, I ended up with a deviated septum and a dent in my nose. On my one year check up, i asked if he could go back in and fix the deviated septum at least and he rejected my request. I now have difficulty breathing through my nose which cause very painful sinus headaches. Would not recommend for anyone who is looking to get a rhinoplasty. read more

I am grateful for finding this office, the doctors patiently answering my questions, the friendly staff, and I love this place.

I went to several consultations with different surgeons for a breast augmentation, and knew right away that I wanted to go with Dr. Jerome Liu. Even though I had a great reference for a different surgeon in the same price range, seeing Dr. Liu's gallery full of beautiful, natural results on women who looked like me (young, petite Asian female) convinced me to set up a ($100) consultation. The consultation further cemented that hunch-- Dr. Liu was patient, thorough, and addressed even my most minor concerns thoughtfully and directly. He is definitely not a pushy salesman type. Having seen multiple surgeons with different recommendations for size and incision type, I was a bit unsure of what I wanted to do. Rather than be a yes-man willing to fulfill any patient's request, Dr. Liu prioritizes safety and will explain to you what your limitations are and why. I went with his strong suggestion for size and incision type and have no regrets whatsoever. The breast augmentation surgery and recovery went so smoothly. Not only were the results exactly what I had wanted, but it was virtually painless as well. Even for submuscular placement, Dr. Liu did not prescribe any narcotics, but I had no issues whatsoever with pain, and only took Tylenol and Advil to manage soreness for 3 days after surgery. I was only bedridden on the day of the surgery to sleep off the anesthesia, but was up and about and regaining mobility starting the very next day. The incisions were clean and taped up securely and there was no need for drains or anything. At ~4 weeks post-op, the incisions are healing beautifully. I had a wonderful experience during each of my pre- and post-operative visits. Even for brief check-ups, Dr. Liu is warm and personal. All of the Los Gatos office staff are friendly, helpful, and very easy to communicate with. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Jerome Liu to anyone considering a breast augmentation, and even more so for Asian women. Just an incredibly trustworthy and skilled surgeon. read more
