My friends and family have been telling me to go here for years and years, but I was never…read moreinterested. I am not body shy, and being around naked women does not bother me. I just had no desire to go until a few days ago when I booked a massage and got a day pass. I thought it would be a nice treat for myself. It was a wonderful amazing experience! All staff I met were friendly. Given a tour of the place when I checked in. Robe, towels, and cap also given at check in. My massage therapist was Alex. She is so tiny but got some real strong hands. This girl does NOT need a man to open a pickle jar. I went to the FIR rooms. I tried all 4 rooms, which have different temperature ranges. I then realized, I don't like hot rooms so I went to the cold room. The pool area which also have about 4 different pools with different temperatures ranges. I went for the cold pool, the temp says it was 60-65 degrees but I felt like it was a little colder than that. Overall, I fell in love with this place. I did not get to try their restaurant, but I will once I go back. They have water you can buy or you can bring in your own. Also, NO PHONES. Don't wait too long like I did, and give this place a try!

I'll be honest, this is one of the only day spas I've been able to find in the Tacoma/Puyallup…read morearea. My friend and I did go in on a Saturday and as expected it was extremely busy. The cons: I do not think I received the quality customer service that should be expected when being a first timer. When I checked in, I paid, did not receive any towels, bathrobe, or hair cap, so I had to go back to the front desk to get this because I didn't realize everything was needed when you get into the locker room. I also wasn't given a short tour or any kind of knowledge about what's available in the spa. There was a lot more options than I was aware of until another patron was kind enough to give us a tour and (shout out) Suzie let me know about the different options available after my scrub. The body scrub is a little in your face if you get the body scrub done in the pool area. If I were to get another body scrub, I would specifically ask to do it in the second room because there's a less traffic. As a first timer, it was definitely not something I expected, and I did not mean to stare, but holy crap what an experience. The services are a little pricey. I love getting facials but $90 for a 30 minute facial seems a little too pricey for myself when I currently already go to different spa to get my facials and it's about $120 for an hour facial. Might just be a preference, but, I will probably give Olympic Spa at least a chance to get experience their products and see if there's anything I really enjoy. Pros: You can literally stay all day. There is a restaurant that you can have lunch at and there are a lot of great options for you to do for the time that you were staying at the spa. I did the body scrub and was actually able to move my 6 o'clock appointment to 315 due to a last-minute opening. Suzie was amazing and tried to make me feel a little better about all the dead skin that was coming off of my body. The water options at the front have some great selections, however, they are $20 each. I bought one for each of us and I will be bringing that back with fruit inclusions for the future. Or DIY it and add some cucumber, strawberries, pineapple to your water to give it a real good relaxing vibe. And finally, it is a little strange when you are not used to seeing naked people, like ever, and seeing a room full of naked members. After 10 minutes though, you're used to it and it's pretty normal. I think the whole setting is set up for you to be your most comfortable self. And if you aren't comfortable with being butt, naked nasty your first time there, the quiet room, rooms, and cold room give you an option to keep your robot and still experience some of the amenities. Since there are obviously no photos/phones allowed in any of the spa areas, the only pictures I will be able to provide will be the food. Which is super convenient because it's in the spa and you just go in in your robe. I will definitely be returning. And I'm looking forward to my future adventures. Due to the customer service, which is one of the main things I look for in this type of service, I'll be giving it a three star review. However, when I go back, I will be reevaluating this review based on the customer service I experience at that time.

The health benefits have been remarkable for both my husband and I. We go for regular sauna visits…read moreat the recommendation of his doctor. It has truly paid off. The staff is very helpful and kind. The facility is clean and well appointed.

**Update as of 1/4** The business owner initially responded…read moreto my review on Google on 1/1. He said he would extend a one time credit. All I had to do was reach out. Now, 3 days later (the first day I had time to reach back out), he has changed his response. The new response no longer has the original offer of a credit. Instead, it's basically a lot of words to say that customer experience only matters if it's positive, something about how roller coasters don't give refunds if someone pukes, and the next staff training will include something about credits. My issue remains unresolved. Urban Float is a dishonest business that only cares about money. Buyer beware. Poor experience overall. Positives: -clean -nice staff -explained things well -places to dress, do hair, and skincare with good hairdryers at each station. Negative: My friend and I had our first floats 12/29. Including my pre and post float showers (5 minutes each), I was in my room MAYBE 20 minutes out of the 60 minutes I paid $99 for. I was in the actual pod less than 10 minutes due to uncontrollable nausea. I had no idea this would happen to me, but it's nobody's fault. The staff were polite enough to check on me, and get me water and tea to drink. I asked if the circumstances would allow for a credit (yes, a credit, not a refund) that my husband could use later, but was told by the manager that she can't. The best she 'could' do was 20% off. I wasted $80 to sit in a lobby. I realized after I left that their website says people who cancel within 12 hours of an appointment have to pay 50%. Yet someone who shows up on time and tries to participate only gets 20% off? It's unfortunate that y'all chose to waste an opportunity to turn a negative into a positive, and possibly gain some more loyal customers. Instead, neither myself nor my friend will be back. Sadly, she was also soured by my experience even though she enjoyed her float and Rex treatment. This is my 3rd time leaving a review, let's see if anyone actually follows up, or if Urban Float cares more about making money than "providing a clean, calm, and welcoming environment" as per their mission statement. I most certainly do not feel welcomed after this experience.

I was unsure about coming…read morehere initially, after reading about places like Olympus Spa denying entrance to transgender women. I dress and present feminine, but am visibly AMAB. When I came in with my friend, who is a cis woman, they gave us both the pink sets of clothes and directed us to the womens side without asking or saying a word. Nobody bothered me while i was in the womens locker room and soaking pools, and everyone i encountered was friendly or neutral. The sauna and soaking tubs were wonderful, and overall, this was a great experience.

I will no longer give this establishment any of my money. I've been going here for many years. A few years ago, their was an ownership change. That's when a little gem started to slowly turn into a lump of coal. As will all things mechanical and aesthetic, maintenance is required. They seem to not even do the bare minimum in that regard now. I can only speak to the men's side of the clothing optional Spa areas, as I haven't been in the Woman's areas. But, there are loose tiles in the hot tubs. The tempature of the tubs is also an issue. The "Warm" tub is about right and most of the jets work correctly. The "Cold" tub is cold, but it should probably be about 10-15°F cooler to have actual theroputic value. The "Hot" tub is like warm bath water and most of the jets in that tub barely work or not at all. This has been the condition of the tubs for years now. . The Steam room has been down for many months now. I asked about it the last time I was there and the Eastern European woman who is, I think, a manager of some sort, immediately got argumentative, was rude, defensive and aggressive. All for me asking a reasonable question. She made some excuse about being able to find parts for the stem room. This feature is a very important part of what a facility like this has to offer, and part of what we pay the $40 entry fee for. They offer no discount or other compensation for this inconvenience to their customers. Just a very unprofessional looking sign taped to the window and inside the facility. That's another thing. The customer service is absolutely lacking. This is supposed to be a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. The front desk is often manned by very rude people, especially when the Korean man is working the front desk. He's very rude and if he speaks English at all, I wouldn't know it. He's often busy looking at videos on his phone and ignoring you when you ask a question. No "hello" no "Thank You" nothing at all. He'll just push the credit card machine towards you to indicate you're supposed to pay and gather towels, a locker key and a uniform for you. They also often will be cleaning the facility with hoses drapped across the facility and that feature being shut down during operating hours. This is hardly relaxing and is very unprofessional. How about doing the cleaning when customers who pay to use the facilities you are cleaning aren't there? All in all, what used to be a nice spot is now a complete turd.

I was so happy to be going. I sit in my car and drive people around so I get really stiff!! Plus a bit of a knee problem that has made me really stiff. First I went in the sauna. That helped loosen me up for massage. Steve really worked on my low back and quad and hamstring. He did such a good job I was actually walking better after!
