If you need insurance, you should ABSOLUTELY talk to Amanda Twomey at Phil Richard Insurance. We…read morerecently switched our auto policy to work with PRI, and was connected with Amanda. She was extremely helpful in switching our auto insurance and also trying to save us money on our homeowners insurance. As life would have it, only a few months into our new insurance, my wife and I were awoken by the police at 2am. Someone had drunkenly backed down our street and scrapped up the side of one of our cars (along with at least one other on the street). One of our neighbors had seen the entire incident and called the police. The officer took our information and said he'd have a report for us in a few days. When we finally got the police report, almost all the information for the drunk driver and witness was blacked out. I tried dealing with a claim through our insurance, and they were LESS than helpful. Out of frustration I spoke with Amanda about the situation, and she said she'd see what she could do. OH MAN DID SHE GET IT DONE!! Amanda called the police department and asked for the driver's information and insurance company. Their reply? "This is America . . . [they should have their own insurance], you need to protect your belongings." Absolutely despicable (yes, that officer is DEFINITELY getting reported). Through her own time and research, Amanda eventually found out the other driver HAD THE SAME AUTO INSURANCE COMPANY I DID! The insurance company didn't even check their own system for the other guy's insurance. Amanda was cool, calm, and collected through the entire process, and I KNOW I wouldn't have been able to deal with any of this without her. Amanda - you're an all star, and I'm absolutely telling everyone they need to go through you to get their insurance needs. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

As instructed on the drop off page of their website I called them to tell them of my drop off. First, I called in the morning to establish my understanding. The woman who answered confirmed my information and I was told to call when I was close, which I did. In my second call, ten minutes away, I was given directions and to go to door #7 not clearly marked). I was also informed, for the first time, that they did not take credit cards for drop offs. This meant I had to go get cash. As I arrived, one of their trucks was pulling in. He wanted to get into the bay of the garage. I asked him about drop off and he said he would call. This guy was very helpful and friendly, he entered the building, which clearly had credit card indicators on the door. If not for drop offs, for whom, as pickups would not see the door? Once I emptied my documents into the barrel, the truck driver emptied the barrel into the truck shredder. I don't think they have an on-site shredder, maybe just truck based. He took mt money, but then had to go looking for change. I only had twenties, as I was not expecting a cash exchange. So, good price, nice guy, got my shredding done, but it seemed a bit haphazard. Could work on processes.

I took a basic welding class to make a barn star at the Garrison Speed Shop in Mendon,…read moreMassachusetts. I have never welded before or used some of the tools and equipment required. The template pieces were all laid out, but that was it. Co-founder Luke had me read and sign all the releases first, and asked about my experience with welding etc. Being a Veteran myself, Luke as well, and the non-profit supporting Veterans and First Responders, he also made sure to ask me if loud noises or anything would bother me. Every step was explained and demonstrated before I was able to do it, and as nervous as I was at first, it quickly went away knowing he took my safety, the safety of others as well as their shop very seriously. Co-founder Ben also provided some muscle when I was unable to bend the metal myself. In just over 2 hours I had sanded, measured, re-measured, bent , hammered and welded together a really cool one of a kind 5-sided barn star. It was definitely something different to do and it was a really cool and fun experience. 5 stars !

I've been to this Savers a few times and I have left with some great stuff! They have sections for…read moreeverything you can think of: clothing, kitchenware, toys, games, furniture, books, crafts, accessories, etc. It does take a while to sort through everything; the shelves and racks are pretty crowded/stuffed. I usually don't bother sorting through the bagged up items on the walls because they're too difficult to get through. However, the clothing section is VERY organized for a thrift store (I found maybe 2 misplaced items-- that's it!). They have tons of XS clothing, which is usually scarce in other stores. I wish they had a bigger craft section (usually just yarn), but I guess that's based off what donations they receive so kind of out of their control. The books section is pretty big and they usually have some kind of deal or sale! As for pricing, it's really inconsistent and tends to be a bit on the higher side. The first time I went, I found a vintage wooden side table in super good condition for $9.99; but a pair of worn American Eagle jeans for $13.99...... Last time I went, I spent about $40 & left with 7 items (4 pairs of jeans, a shirt, a purse, & a pair of shoes). It's very hit or miss but it usually evens out when you see your total. Parking is usually great; it's a parking lot in the same area as DSW but usually not crowded, even on weekends. I will say it is a little dirty in there and they don't really clean out any of the items before shelving them. I found a few purses with crumbs, tissues, old lipstick blotters, etc. They do get this stuff for free so I obviously don't expect a deep clean of every item, but a quick once-over would be nice considering their pricing can be high. COVID changes: masks are required in store, and their fitting rooms are closed. You can EXCHANGE (not return) any items that don't fit after you get them home. All employees were wearing their masks, wiping down the shopping carts, wearing gloves, etc.!
