If you need insurance, you should ABSOLUTELY talk to Amanda Twomey at Phil Richard Insurance. We recently switched our auto policy to work with PRI, and was connected with Amanda. She was extremely helpful in switching our auto insurance and also trying to save us money on our homeowners insurance. As life would have it, only a few months into our new insurance, my wife and I were awoken by the police at 2am. Someone had drunkenly backed down our street and scrapped up the side of one of our cars (along with at least one other on the street). One of our neighbors had seen the entire incident and called the police. The officer took our information and said he'd have a report for us in a few days. When we finally got the police report, almost all the information for the drunk driver and witness was blacked out. I tried dealing with a claim through our insurance, and they were LESS than helpful. Out of frustration I spoke with Amanda about the situation, and she said she'd see what she could do. OH MAN DID SHE GET IT DONE!! Amanda called the police department and asked for the driver's information and insurance company. Their reply? "This is America . . . [they should have their own insurance], you need to protect your belongings." Absolutely despicable (yes, that officer is DEFINITELY getting reported). Through her own time and research, Amanda eventually found out the other driver HAD THE SAME AUTO INSURANCE COMPANY I DID! The insurance company didn't even check their own system for the other guy's insurance. Amanda was cool, calm, and collected through the entire process, and I KNOW I wouldn't have been able to deal with any of this without her. I would definitely recommend this particular Insurance company to any one and especially getting the opportunity to work with Gwen Laschi out of the Danvers office although I have never met her in person, I was always calling and only wanted to speak to her or email her she made me feel as though we go way back. I know I was time consuming due to the fact i was trying to buy a SUV every time I saw the one I knew I was going to buy I always called for a quote that could be very annoying especially when am always changing my mind. I have been with Phil Richards for years - started with my car insurance, then moved my business insurance there, starting with general liability, then workmans comp and then general liability. THEY. ARE. THE. BEST. Seriously, what reason would you have to go anywhere else? I'll explain. Sorry, Phil Richards staff - no offense to you - but... insurance is boring :) I don't want to spend a lot of time thinking about all the details of all the policies I have, the nuances of what coverage I should have, the in's and out's of the various policies and changes that happen in the industry. And that is the value Phil Richards' staff deliver. They worry about that stuff so that I don't have to. When a customer asks me for a certificate of insurance, I email them and they send it over. When my policy is up for renewal, they email me and keep me informed of deadlines and payment dates and the like. When I buy a car or if I want to get a quote, I email them and they handle it. It's PAINLESS which is what I want. I like that I can handle things by email. I'm an email guy. It's perfect. I hooked my parents up with them. My parents are old school phone people. They are great with phone too - my parents love that. My parents call and get the info they need - they are happy. I believe insurance agents work on commission from the insurance companies - which is the best part... you're not paying higher prices for this service from Phil Richards. You're getting this, essentially, for nothing. There are not too many things in life that are 'no brainers'. This is one of them. There are not too many businesses these days that I can honestly say I TRULY LIKE doing business with. Phil Richards is one of them. My review probably sounds like I am Phil's nephew or something. I don't think I have ever met the man. Kathy is my personal insurance policy rep. Maureen is my business insurance rep. They are the superstars that make Phil Richards a great place to do business with. I wrote this review because I've had to interact with both of my reps this week due to changing cars and needing to update my biz insurance. I've been crazy busy and it's been a very frustrating week. But one part that could have been SO frustrating but was totally pain free was dealing with all the insurance stuff. I've been with Phil Richard Insurance for several years now, specifically with Cindy Moore as my agent. Previously I had an auto policy that was both more costly, and had insufficient coverage for my situation with owning a home, etc. My former agency never adjusted the policy when I bought a home so I was at risk. Cindy reviewed the policy, was able to secure a lower rate, and better coverage! So when my homeowners policy came due for renewal it made perfect sense to switch, which she made a completely painless experience. Most recently, I needed renters insurance for my son who is away at college, and Cindy and Amanda came through again. I received the quote on a Friday evening, and was able to sign, pay for, and send the document to the landlord by Monday morning. Excellent service as always!! read more
