But Dr Hurd was recommended to me and I've had an ongoing issue with an ever-worsening FRONT tooth loosening after a facial injury many years ago. Dr Hurd was the first dentist I've seen who took this issue in hand, dealt with it immediately, and gave me a very positive outlook and prognosis. Not guaranteed but positive. I was expecting to lose this tooth either through eating or because it had to be removed. From the first interaction with this practice I was impressed. Insurance issues - resolved. Front desk - great. Nurses - Julie and Sneed (sp?) lovely, and Dr Hurd himself? So gentle, so caring, so kind, such a nice man. I've been to 'gentle dental' clinics and they don't know what they are talking about. Dr Hurd is an angel and he is the first dentist to whom I ever said "I could hug you" after my visit. They took us to the back gave my son an X-Ray. Waited 30 more minutes in the exam room for the dentist. After 30 minutes a lady came and and told us that they do not do sedation on kids under 14. So why wouldn't they tell us this from the get go. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD THERE UNLESS THEY ARE 14 and over. They wasted 3 hours of my day, no apology or nothing and never once saw the dentist. They just collected my insurance and booted us out the door. Stay away.

My tooth never had pain until they did the root canal, which it seems I didn't even need as my issues have been only allergies.
