I sent my husband the twenty minute drive down to zettlers and he purchased a can of DoIt spray paint. The can would not spray no matter what we did to try to find a resolution. So I sent my husband back today to exchange it for another can and the manager (Jordan) refused. He fiddled with it for a few minutes and was able to get it to spray. My husband understanding how important this project was for me to get it finished today, went ahead and purchased another can of paint ($17) because he knew if he came home and I couldn't use the original can of paint I was going to be upset. So when my husband got home and explained the situation I was dumbfounded. I called the store and talked to Jordan who again refused to exchange the can of paint. He basically said there's no way he could resell it so he wasn't taking the loss. He ssmaid he was able to get the can working. I tried to use the can and it took everything i had to make our spray. He also told me that the owner Mike would tell me the same thing and that the owner would also not exchange the can of paint. Now I know from experience working in customer service that the last thing a manager should do when you have an upset customer is to tell the customer that the owner would not do anything different. The last thing a manager should do is to not find a resolution for the customer. A simple exchange was all we wanted. Instead we are out over 2 hours plus the$5 can of paint that basically went in the trash and the additional $17 we spent for a working can of paint. Beyond disappointed. The teenagers that work at this store always treat is with respect, Jordan could take some lessons.

I kept hearing how good it was, and that's not hype- service was excellent, on two visits from multiple people. Selection is pretty darn good for a small local hardware store. It's not tiny, but it's not huge. Lots of options for each thing we needed. Bright and open, nicely arranged, tons of things you need- and don't, plenty of impulse buy stuff set around, so watch yourself. Prices for those, and in general, are maybe a little high, but the location will be handy for many people and you can avoid the hassle and gas use of going to a big box. This isn't just an old-school local store- it's better.

I have found those products to be very low quality, often breaking after only a season or two of normal use. Neither the shop nor ACE offer any warranty, referring the buyer instead to the manufacturer's warranty. On occasions when I've made a warranty claim, the manufacturers have simply ignored those claims.

They have the usual small hardware store selection of other things. I looked at a couple of things I might need eventually. Prices are a little higher than they will be at big box stores, but they actually had what I needed and helped me get it. My purchase was small, but what made the difference for me was the kind gentleman at the front register. Very knowledgeable and attentive to my needs. Most of all, he was kind and caring and made me feel valued while helping me and after ringing up my purchase. Although this is larger than your run-of-the-mill mom-and-pop stores of old, it had the warmth of one, which meant a lot. I'll definitely be back.

Pulled the available ticket and proceed to the register. The man at the register says he will have to check if they have it in stock. To my surprise when he came back, he did not have a fan and said the only one they had was the one that we didn't want! He offered to call another store located about 10 miles away but we didn't feel like driving all that way so we asked him if you could order the one we wanted. He said he could not order it because it was not a specialty item. I'm not sure what that means but we left without our fan. I don't think you should have pieces of paper able to pull a ticket for a product if you don't have it in stock and also why can't you order me a fan? Aren't I a customer? As we left the store I noticed the parking lot full of garbage where a different people had emptied their cars out. There was glass trash, McDonald's wrappers just everywhere in the parking lot. It made the whole place look very junked up. Needless to say we be buying our industrial size fan on Amazon and people wonder why people shop on Amazon? Can't get anything you want in the stores.

This time I was here for a sump pump battery, which was the same price here as I saw it elsewhere online. Plus I got some of their clearance items for outrageously good prices. It's not a big box store, so prices and selection are not going to be the same as one of those places. But it's bigger than it looks, and they have quite a good selection of all sorts of things. Plus some unusual things you didn't think you would need for home repairs. And prices are reasonable, maybe slightly higher than rock-bottom but not awful. It's one of those old-school hardware stores where they can answer questions and help with a project. Service has always been very good and very friendly. I highly recommend it if you live anywhere nearby.
