I have been ordering from here for the past few years. I started with always ordering the yellow chicken curry because it's a go-to favorite of mine and they have the best in the area. I have slowly ventured out to trying other dishes from them and they are all really good. The pineapple fried rice is also a favorite and the Pad See Ew is delicious...same with the mango sticky rice! All so yummy! This place is my go to when I don't feel like cooking but want a good meal that will make my tummy happy. I've patronized this place for over 10 years before I realized I haven't left a review yet! It's my older children's go to place when they visit from NYC and DTLA, and is literally 5 minutes from my younger kids' school. They have their takeout game strong and in full effect for years and years . Multiple interior renovations and a quaint outdoor side patio gave overflow lunch diners an option. They also turned their interior into a comfortable indoor dining spot with AC installed (hallelujah!) until Covid hit. They put some tables outside but who wants to eat within 6 feet of exhaust fumes? The pad Thai with chicken extra spicy 10/10 is our go to, along with chicken satay and hot pot soups. If anyone knows me, they know how much I love Thai food. And if you really know me, you know that the pad see ew is the only thing that hits home for me every time. I wanted to try this restaurant out because it was the closest one near my home that actually looked decent. (We tried Thai spice and that was a huge miss.) I ordered the ever so popular pad see ew with beef along with the Thai fried rice with beef. Pad see ew - definitely full of flavor but a bit too overcooked on the pan. Tastes a little burnt but not to the point where I hate it Thai fried rice - definitely delicious but an overwhelming amount of rice in comparison to the meat and vegetable ratio. Overall, I did enjoy it and even though it's a bit of a hole in the wall the food is delicious and the customer service is great. Seriously, I ask them for extra tomatoes on the fried rice and they pack it on like no other! The only reason why I docked one star was because for some reason they mixed up my order once and made my fried rice with lots of mint. The mint was so overpowering that I couldn't even taste anything else in the dish which was a huge turn off. Other than that, this is definitely worth trying out. We ordered the pad thai with tofu, pad thai with chicken, and the Mongolian beef. Both pad Thai dishes had a very unique taste to them. It tasted like there was a fire but they knew the food needed to get out or like it was made on a bbq grill. The tofu was so awful I ended up picking out all the tofu. I've been coming to Sutha for about six years now. When I first moved to Tustin, I would still drive to Costa Mesa for all my favorites, so I'm not really sure how I stumbled in. It's a hole in the wall. Don't get me wrong, it's nicely decorated, but it's teeny tiny and I would never recommend bringing a large group to dine in. It's a family-owned mom and pop. I'm not even sure they have a public restroom and come to think of it, I do t think they serve alcohol. The food is great. I'm not an expert in Thai cuisine by any means, but it's far superior to other Thai places I've been to in the area. I love their pineapple curry and their yellow curry, all of their entree dishes are bomb - even their chicken and eggplant. I am not normally a fan of eggplant and even I liked it. The Pad See Ew melts in your mouth, their Tom Yum Kai soup has the perfect balance of sweet and sour and their Green Papaya Salad is excellent. read more

Real Thai food has sweet, sour, salty, and spicy....and they certainly have that, and I'm just talking about the other diners the last time there. As other yelpers have mentioned, this is a postage stamp inside eating area. You also feel like you're in a goldfish bowl. People driving by on Irvine Blvd. have even told me they could see us while driving by. Also, on a cold night, if you're sitting by the door, you'll feel a rush of cold wind every time someone goes in and out. And they do that a lot because seriously, they have as much take out customers as dine in. They do have outdoor patio seating with heaters, very popular in summer. At least parking isn't an issue at night, you can park in the lot or even across the street. And if you're driving from the 55 freeway, it's kind of tricky on a rainy night to find this place. Thank God for Google maps. The food and plating is certainly good. The menu is fairly diverse for such a small place. You'll find your standard Pad Thai in the usual beef, chicken and shrimp, the Penang/Curry items, etc. My favorite items are Pad Kee Mow, War Won Ton soup, and the various fried rice items. I didn't try the egg rolls, but although they list the vegetarian ingredients, the woman next to us ordered it. One bite and she turned sour and salty. She whined and complained, "there is no meat in there, and I want it with meat".. The ever smiling waitress must've just let it slide. The woman's male companion embarrassed said, "No, I'll buy it, please wrap it up and we'll take it to my office since I'm working tonight.." The waitress was fairly sweet about it, and probably would've just taken it back. Service is generally pretty good, and when they have 3 people on a Friday night, all is well. Sometimes they have two and it can get hectic, One the thing you'll complain about most is that you'll probably have to wait outside for a table on a Friday or Sat, night. There is no waiting room...actually the waiting room is outside on the sidewalk or in your car. The goldfish acoustics means you'll hear your neighbors conversations. And if you have an order to go, if it's raining, you'll likely do best to wait in your car until it's ready. Not a bad little joint, I'm definitely a fan. read more

I came here for lunch with a coworker last week... and I am sort of picky when it comes to Thai food. For whatever reason, I dont like most Thai food places. This place is tiny, and its in a tiny little parking lot. We arrived around 1:25pm and were able to find a spot right in front, luckily. There are 7 tables total in the restaurant and a few two seaters out front. We were also lucky enough to get a table but within 5 minutes of sitting down, all tables were full. I think they are used to getting people in and out so they can accommodate everyone, they take your plate as soon as you are done with it. My friend joked that sometimes they whisk it away before you are even done. She was kidding, but its close. I ordered the lunch special with Garlic Chicken. The lunch came with soup, that to me didnt have a lot of flavor. The wonton in the soup, however, had SO much flavor. It had a strong garlic flavor which made my mouth so happy. The Garlic Chicken came with white rice, salad, and a crispy wonton. I dont think the salad had any type of dressing on it, which caught me off guard. I spread my rice out on my plate, and dumped my chicken over it, which also had lettuce under it. There was a huge burnt looking chunk, that I can only guess was a clump of crispy, burnt garlic. Beyond that, I didnt notice any garlic in my dish. There wasnt a sauce either, so it was dry. I added as much hot sauce as I could tolerate to moisten my food. It was just pretty average. For an appetizer we split the Fresh Spring Rolls with chicken. Those were good, but my friend had asked for a spicy peanut sauce someone from the kitchen gave her last time, and the waitress said there was no such thing. So either he created it for her to try, or it wasnt something she was familiar with, not sure. I would have liked more sauce with the dish, but they were good, and refreshing. I can see this place getting insanely busy with a wait and a hustle bustle eat fast and get out feel during the lunch hour rush.
