Really good hidden sushi spot! The restaurant is small but service was great. Really loved their Wok plates and bento box options as well. Highly recommend the dumplings and to try one of their sake's. This was the only place I have ever been to where they breakdown what sake is and which might be best for you. Loved the family owned atmosphere. Adding this to our sushi rotation.

It had honestly been a minute since I had been to sushiya. The last time (several years ago) it seemed like everything was bland and flavorless... however my husband and I were in the area and we decided to give it another try. Boy am I glad we did! We ordered sushi to start. The sushi came out fairly quickly. We had 2 basic rolls, a tuna roll and a salmon roll... tho I will say there was no mention of avocado in the salmon roll, but when it was brought it had it... not a fan but both were good and fresh. We also ordered a Buddha Belly roll which was HUGE! It was also amazingly delicious! By far my new favorite roll! I would return for this roll alone! Highly recommend! We also ordered some crab Rangoon ... however I felt that these were not nearly filled enough for the size... they definitely could use some more filling. The egg drop soup we got was also STELLAR!! Would also come back to order a huge bowl of this as well! Delicious and savory! Absolutely wonderful! We also ordered entrees as well. All came out warm and quickly. We went during dinner time but service was quick and friendly! The place itself was clean, bathrooms were clean, and staff was friendly! Overall would definitely recommend and absolutely will be returning!

ValPak had a 15% off coupon so we tried this place. We will not be back. My daughter said her miso soup tasted like a mix and not fresh. The egg drop had corn in it and was just ok. The crab Rangoon and vegetable egg rolls were again, just ok. They came with teeny little cups with dipping sauce. Weird. We both got bento boxes and they were nothing special. The tempura vegetables were meh. The salad dressing was weird. Her BBQ and my shrimp were just ok. She likes more bland food and she said it was super bland. The california roll had very little taste. The server was good but the food subpar.

I ordered Sushiya for takeout last night and it was delicious. This was a Sunday night and they weren't busy from what I could tell. I was able to pick up the order rather quickly. I'm a huge fan of the Geisha roll which comes with rice paper and has a ton of flavor. I also added a California roll which was ok, a little lite on the rice side of things. I think the prices for their rolls are super reasonable and would much prefer this to grocery store sushi that is often just about the same price. In the past, I've come and sat down instead of getting takeout. When you eat in, they bring you miso soup which is always such a treat.

Service: the service was ok, it could have been a little better and has been in the past. The servers just seemed young and wasn't sure was in the sushi rolls, so we gambled on the rolls and were happy with them. We were seated immediately and had our drink orders taken and delivered quickly. After they took our food order though they took a while to get our ticket and she gave me a very small box for our leftovers. Food: the food has always been good, it was my grandmas favorite egg drop soup! The rolls are good and made fresh. The miso was great and so was the rice. My favorite is the vegetable egg rolls. The food was what got the 5 stars today.

Yummy!!! I'm so glad I tried this little place! It's a very small very friendly staff ! The food is pretty good! We had the fried dumplings which were perfect! The crab rangoons are delicious. They do taste different but super good! The Prawns with candied pecans was good just super sweet! The sushi was fresh and perfect!

Stopped by here for a bite of sushi and the sushi was good! One of the sushi dishes that I got took quite a while to come out, it basically came out by the time I was done with my other sushi order. The yaki soba was pretty good, I thought it was a little bit salty. Our server didn't seem like she wanted to be there. She was nice, but didn't have any emotion or showed that she cared to be there.

This is the amount of food that we couldn't stomach and is going in the garbage

I had been wanting to try this place since they opened, and thankfully the family was onboard with trying somewhere new. The outside of the building is nothing special, but you can't always judge a book by its cover. As we entered, we were warmly greeted by multiple staff members and seated right away. We ordered the miso soup, teriyaki chicken, bulgogi beef, and dumpling sampler. We all sampled each other's dishes, and everyone loved the food. Everything was very flavorful with just the right balance of portions and ingredients. The service was excellent. Our drinks were constantly refilled, and we never went thirsty. The building is definitely older, and where this showed most was in the bathrooms. They could use a fresh coat of paint and a few updates. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and will definitely be back.

Overall: This is an excellent addition to the Chinese food in Albuquerque. The service is great,…read moreand the food is decent. Sushi including the sashimi plates are 50% Food: Dragon Roll: The roll was a nice size so that it could be eaten in 1 bite. Mini Sashimi Plate: The fish was fairly fresh tasting. This was included in the 50% off. Sesame Scallion Noodles: The noodles have a savory sesame scallion sauce coating it. It is very savory but also has a very heavy sesame flavor to it. Shrimp Fried Rice: They used short grain rice for the fried rice. It does have the wok char taste, but it is very oily (probably because they need more oil to prevent this type of rice from sticking together). There are nuts in it. Pan Fried Chicken Buns: This was the highlight of the dinner. These buns are handmade at the store and have a juicy chicken filling. Service: 5 Our waitress was super nice, but there was a little trouble in ordering due to the language barrier. Most of the food didn't take too long to come out besides the pan fried buns. Ambiance: 4 The restaurant is located in a quiet plaza. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant itself has a lot of booths and is fairly clean.

When we got there, they were extremely busy, and the place is pretty small inside with limited seating. We decided to dine in, and when it was our turn to order, I asked my usual questions about cross-contamination. I was a little disappointed because the girl taking our order was pretty vague and mostly gave yes-or-no answers, so I had to keep asking follow-up questions. After asking more questions, I did feel comfortable that they take precautions with gluten-free orders. I ordered a customized bowl with teriyaki chicken and salmon, and my daughter got steak and chicken. We were surprised that we didn't have to wait too long for our food given they were really busy. Portions were good size. Both were really good!! We enjoyed our food and will definitely be back!

This was my first time getting takeout here, and overall, I came away pretty impressed…read more The person who took my order over the phone was very professional, and although I had to wait about 15 minutes longer than expected, the staff was quick and polite once my food was ready. The phone rang several times while I was waiting, so they may have been a little short-staffed that evening. The restaurant itself is really well decorated. Great lighting, good music, and a modern vibe make it a place that I'd definitely consider dining in next time. At $60 for three entrees, this is definitely on the more expensive side for an Asian restaurant. But I will say, the food was well worth both the wait and the extra cost. I had the Fried Rice with Pork, and the pork had fantastic flavor. There was also a generous amount of meat, which I always appreciate with fried rice. My daughter had the Chicken Teriyaki, and she loved it, which is saying something because she isn't always the easiest person to please! My wife enjoyed the Bulgogi Beef, although she did wish there had been a little more sauce. I will also add that each entree was an ample portion and everyone had a little left over. All in all, despite the longer-than-expected wait and higher price point, the quality of the food and the excellent service made it worthwhile. This might actually become our new favorite spot for quality asian food.
