Disappointed overall. The selection wasn't great, and during peak lunch hour, there was only one server (who I believe is also the owner) trying to manage everything. Couldn't get an order in. The service felt rushed. What really turned us off was the cleanliness. It genuinely looked like the place hadn't had a proper wipe-down in months. Sticky fingerprints and dirty surfaces were everywhere, and it completely killed our appetite. It honestly felt unsanitary and like a recipe for getting sick (which we do feel sick after eating here). It also feels a bit greedy to keep the place running without putting in the basic time and effort to make it clean, welcoming, and safe for customers. Much better sushi belt options in Clackamas.

Some of the great sushi in Oregon food is fantastic. I love the atmosphere. It's very relaxed. It's like sitting home with family. Just eating a good meal. the service is phenomenal. She's always ready to answer any questions or get you what you need.

I love it when we try a sushi place and their hot selections are actually hot and the cold selections are cold! We've been to many that this wasn't the case but we were pleasantly surprised here. They had a nice variety to choose from with fresh things being added the whole time we were there. They had an equal selection of all the differently priced plates as well. They even had cheesecake for dessert! It's totally worth the extra $1+ to grab a plate of strawberries to add on top of the cheesecake too. The staff was super friendly. When our hostess noticed I had 3 teenagers with me she immediately put in extra orders of gyoza, egg rolls, wontons and fried shrimp. They were being added to the line within minutes of us washing our hands, getting seated and looking over the selections. She came over to let us know more was coming because she knows younger people tend to really like those items, and she's 100% right! The sushi chef working at the line didn't mind me asking a couple of times what certain things were either. Some chefs will get a little irritated when you ask them questions but this gentleman was very helpful. There's even more offered on the train than what's shown on the price list menu. Everything tasted fresh and yummy. So glad we popped in here on a whim to try it out. We'll definitely be back for more.

Found a hair in the food and they said it wasn't theirs. And they snatched my money and said get out.

Average sushi at best. Prices are also average. 3-star all around. Get the rolls, and ignore all fried food.

Until now, I have not been a fan of tuna rolls. But their spicy tuna rolls with the soy paper were delicious. All the fish, completely clear of any fishy smell, well made rolls perfectly made rice, it was an outstanding example of what great sushi taste like. I had the green dragon roll, another first for me, and it was also everything you would expect from tempura fried shrimp covered in rice, avocado, soy sauce. We shared the orange and red moose cakes, and they're just tasty a little bits of orange and strawberry highly recommend. What stood out for me was the variety of sushi that was available on the conveyor belt. Plenty of cold options plenty of hot options, they even had fried shrimp by itself on a plate. I think they even had a plate of the mini yogurt drinks, something I've never seen before. The service was fast. Everyone was friendly. The prices are good. The only downside to you go is it makes it more crowded for when I go, but you should go. Primarily it's a sushi bar around the conveyor belt, but there are also some booths. Everything was comfortable. Everything was clean. This is a great place to go.

I ordered the Dragon Roll and Las Vegas roll. Both were quite tasty. We also ordered the Agedashi Tofu as a starter, a 6 piece of the Oysters, the Salmon Sashimi Flight, and House Tonkotsu Ramen. The oysters were pretty small, but packed with flavor. The Salmon Sashimi tasted very fresh and we loved the assortment of pieces.

Mirakutei occupies the same space that a previous sushi restaurant occupied. If you are familiar…read morewith it, it has the same super upscale, swanky vibe and décor that the previous place had. If you want scenery, Mirakutei is probably unbeatable. When we arrived, the place was completely empty, save for one table. We should have taken this as a warning and left (Clackamas Town Center is ALWAYS crazily busy, and for a fancy restaurant there to be almost empty speaks volumes). Since we chose this place specifically based on the many positive reviews, we figured we'd give it a go. It pains me to write this review, but one star is what Mirakutei earned. The menu is, well, let's just call it "unexpected". I don't know what they're going for, but "pesto" on sushi doesn't seem like a fusion that should exist. We ordered a variety of items, and across the board, they were all terrible. Prices are also REALLY high. The "salmon flight" consisted of four pieces of salmon nigiri, each of a different variety. I don't know what any of them were, but only one of the three had any semblance of flavor, and one was probably the toughest piece of fish I've ever been served. The yellowtail fared slightly better, but it was garnished with what appeared to be off-cuts or scrap that had been chopped to oblivion. This garnish did NOTHING to add to the flavor, texture, or appeal of the nigiri. We also made the mistake of ordering the "Hello Kitty". Don't do this. It is a typical California roll sullied by a pressed patty of, again, what appear to be fish off-cuts that are chopped to oblivion, pressed into a patty shape, overcooked, and draped on top of a cut CA roll with each piece turned on its side. Again, this was just gross. The most egregious foul was the "salmon" that was in one half of one of the rolls. It had spoiled, and literally was a slimy fall-apart mush. There is NO excuse in the world for this, and much shame is due to the chef (or management for forcing the chef to use spoiled items). We pointed this out to our waitress, who was very apologetic, and brought out a complimentary piece of mochi ice cream to us in an impossibly short amount of time. It happened so quickly that it seems to have to be their standard procedure that everybody's at the ready to do ("If a guest calls us out for serving spoiled fish, bring them a piece of mochi ice cream"). We were extremely disappointed, and left with a lot of what we'd ordered uneaten, and both of us feeling queasy. We won't be back.

Once we stepped inside, we were immediately struck by how beautiful the decor was. From the cherry blossom tree with seating built around it, to the wood-and-paper accents, to the elegant wall screen and custom dining tables--everything felt thoughtfully designed. Our dining experience truly felt luxurious, like a little slice of Japan right here at home. Service was excellent as well. Our waitress was friendly, patient with our questions, and quick to bring out our sushi and water. Even the water bottle was a gorgeous textured design--such a nice touch. The menu offers giant specialty rolls, nigiri, and smaller rolls, with photos of most items except the small rolls, which made ordering easy. There's plenty of seating inside, but definitely check the hours before you go. They close at 2:30 pm and reopen at 5 pm, and we've been caught arriving too late before. This restaurant may be a small local chain, but everything tastes incredibly fresh and is made to order. They also offer bento boxes and daily specials, giving lots of great options no matter what you're in the mood for. A fantastic experience all around--highly recommended!

At sushi restaurants our younger child usually only eats plain rice, and our older one is a picky eater who will eat a little chicken. We initially asked to order the kids teriyaki chicken for our older child but were told the kids menu is only for 7 and under. Since we do have a 5 year old, we ordered the kids meal for her and a side of rice. When the food arrived and we placed the chicken in front of our 10 year old and the rice in front of our 5 year old, there seemed to be some confusion among the staff, which created an awkward and uncomfortable moment for us. In the end our 10 year old only ate a few pieces of chicken and our 5 year old had a little rice, which is exactly why we ordered the smaller portions. It caught us off guard since we did have a child under the age limit at the table and were ordering plenty of food, and families often share plates. A little flexibility or discretion in situations like this might help avoid making families feel uncomfortable. That said, the staff were genuinely very kind and accommodating overall, and very sweet as we were leaving. Overall a beautiful space with very nice staff.
