    Tuna and Salmon Combo
    Michael L.

Had to be in North Vancouver in the evening and looking for options along Marine Drive for dinner. Opted for Sushi Town. It is right beside the McDonalds on Marine Drive with plenty of free parking in the rear...always a plus. The room is large and open with high ceilings and many booths for seating...and I do prefer booths. Ordered the Tuna and Salmon Combo, a Dynamite Roll and a California Roll. There was no issue with the service and the sushi was brought out fairly quickly. Nice presentation and it all tasted great. It was a positive sushi experience and happy to recommend Sushi Town

Great sushi, good rolls, fast and friendly service. Fresh fish. Good sized pieces of fish on the nigiri sushi. Sushi rice had the right amount of vinegar. Sashimi was very good-looking.

Ripped off and extremely poor attitude. Charged me $2 for a quarter cup of teriyaki sauce. Complained but they would not give me a credit. I also found the manager's attitude very poor.

Classic family restaurant for Japanese food. Great space, good food, portions and price.

By far my favorite sushi place to get sushi from in Vancouver. It's affordable, the quality is good, and the quantity is also good! I've never gotten sick and I've ordered from here probably 100 times. My favourite items are the spicy tuna and salmon sashimi with the sauce on the side, and the negitoro roll. I'd like to see them use a bit more salmon and salmon skin in the B.C. roll. But other than that I find this place to be my go-to.

The two of us had the cream cheese aburi roll, crab cake, and an udon - portions were good value. Food came quickly and I enjoyed these unique items. A number of my North Vancouver friends raved about this place many times in the past, so I'm happy I decided to try it out! Expect long wait times due to covid.

After a four hike at Cypress, my squad and I were ready for something cheap where we could order quickly and stuff our faces. Sushi Town was the answer to this call based on a friend's recommendations. We came in for a late lunch and were seated immediately. Our table ordered a substantial amount of food and all of it trickled in quickly. I had the cream cheese aburi roll, the Alaska roll, and the deep fried California roll. I should have known my stomach was clouding my rational decision making because I was stuffed by the time I got to my last 5 pieces. I ended up taking the rest home. My order total was around $20 pre-taxes and tips. Is Sushi Town a stand out sushi place? Yes and no. From what I've tasted, they do everything reasonably well, from food to flavour, pricing, and even in-restaurant ambiance. Does it have something that is remarkable and worth driving long distances for? Probably not. Still, Sushi Town is a solid choice, anytime, to stop by and pick up something to-go or to eat in!

Thank you, Sushi Town, for blessing me with fresh, affordable, quick, and most importantly, delicious sushi over the years. Despite no longer living nearby, l continue to make the trip out because it is just that spectacular. Granted, you're not expecting over the top, world class sushi here. And to be honest, that's perfectly fine with me. In earlier years, I did have issues with slow service and some consistency with the food, but both have significantly improved over time. My family and I do have our staple dishes to order, but we mixed things up a bit this time with our rolls. SEAFOOD SALAD ($8.25): Where to begin with this salad? I just can't get enough of it. The crunch of the iceberg lettuce, the freshness of the seafood (smoked salmon, ebi, tako, hokkigai, artificial crabmeat), the bursts of flavour from the masago, the silkiness of the cold glass noodles, and the creaminess of the wasabi mayo and salad dressing - it's just a gorgeous medley of flavours and textures against your palate. It may be one of the best salads I have ever had; I can't even remember the last time I came here without ordering it. Also, fair warning: this is not the same seafood salad as Sushi Garden's, which is less decadent, served with seaweed, and only wishes it tasted as good as this one. ALASKA ROLL ($4.95): Avocado toast, meet your sushi counterpart. This is stuffed with avocado and masago, and topped with smoked salmon and again, Sushi Town's addictive salad dressing. Though I love this roll, it's given my sister some PTSD after twice discovering the avocado stem from munching down on the roll. More Alaska roll for me, I guess? HOUSE ROLL ($5.95): If you like a loaded roll, then this is your jam. It is bursting with artificial crabmeat, tuna, salmon, tamago, avocado, cucumber, and lettuce, and adorned with masago on the top. The ends are the biggest pieces, so they are naturally my favourite ones. Stuff them in your mouth in one bite, but perhaps avoid making eye contact with anyone else and just enjoy its wholesome goodness. RED ROLL ($7.95): This is essentially a glamorized chopped scallop roll that is decked out with cucumber on the inside, and spicy tuna and green onion on the outside. If you don't like heat and/or are averse to "slimier" textures, then this roll may be one to avoid. For myself, it's a special roll that is on rotation with the Awesome Roll whenever we order. RAINBOW ROLL ($7.95): I've ordered this in the past and I could've sworn the inside was different than what it is now. From what I vaguely remember, there used to be artificial crabmeat inside, but now it is simply tamago. I really wish there was more to it than that because the tamago is quite bland and not enough to elevate the flavour of this roll. The only variety you get is in the toppings, being avocado, salmon, hokkigai, tuna, ebi, and tako. I won't be ordering this again next time. TON KATSU ($11.95): A large, juicy cut of pork coated with panko, sliced and fried to perfection, and drizzled in a warm tonkatsu sauce. Add in a bowl of rice, a green salad (which you can toss into your seafood salad at the end for more greens), and two dipping sauces (I believe salad dressing and more tonkatsu sauce?), and you've got yourself the beginnings, or end, of a happy food coma. And on that note, I'm going to take a cue from Jiro and dream of sushi tonight.

Came here on a Friday evening (long weekend) around 6:45pm and was seated approximately 10 minutes later. Their tonkatsus come with a bowl of rice and also a side salad for $11.95. The beef/ chicken teriyaki comes with just a bowl of rice for $10.95. All very flavourful and good! The bowl of rice is great to fill you up! However, when the table orders sushi, and other various dishes then it's very extra and rather filling! Their alaska roll ($4.95) was delicious! Super soft and the filling on top was very flavourful!!! It was the best sushi roll that we ordered that day! As for their beef udon ($9.95) it was a much bigger bowl than I expected!! All the items on the menu are very worth it for the amount of food you get and for the amount of money that you pay!!

Assorted Sashimi Plate - so fresh and delicious. The octopus and salmon were standouts!

We travel to Vancouver often for mini-getaways, so this time we decided to concentrate on North Van. Our favorite sushi place in Burnaby was far away, so thanks to Yelp we found Sushi Town and we were not disappointed. We ordered the Assorted Sashimi, a Spider Roll, Miso Soup, and a plate of Shrimp & Sweet Potato Tempura. The fish was delicious - fresh, good texture, and large pieces. Even the octopus was not too chewy (which it often is at other places we've visited). The roll was large and contained an abundance of decadent softshell crab. And the tempura was the best we've ever had - crispy and hot. And best of all our total bill was only $33. The atmosphere was good, the service decent (not super friendly, but definitely expedient), and the place seemed pretty popular. The only thing that seemed odd to me was that the staff were taking their food breaks at a table right next to us - it seemed unprofessional. Also, the bar area is a mess, they use it for storage so it's rather unsightly. There's plenty of free parking behind the restaurant (it shares a building and parking lot with McDonald's). We enjoyed Sushi Town and it's good to know there's good sushi in North Van. You just can't get fish this fresh for these prices anywhere near where we live.

Best spicy salmon sashimi in town! Fresh thick-cut salmon with perfect sweet chili sauce. My husband and I fell in love with it at the first bite. Reasonable price, good service, nice dining environment. I think Sushi Town is one of the top choices for family and friends dining.

Spicy yamtem bit roll(the best!) and spicy tuna/salmon sashimi.

The tobiko roll is by far my favourite - I love how the fish roe adds flavour and pops in your mouth! Portion Size: Shareable for a group of 4 *Must try* House Roll (5/5) - $18 Taste: I HAVE to get this roll every time. As someone who doesn't enjoy too much saucy foods, the house roll provides a clean contrast to the richness of the aburi sushi.
