Crispy Rice
Erin W.

Love the interior here, so cute inside! We didn't have a reservation, but didn't have any issues with being sat right away. Omg the crispy rice was so good and had a great kick to it, so if you're not a fan of spice I would say maybe avoid that dish but the flavor was incredible. I got the Crunchy Spicy Roll and it was good, but nothing out of this world. However, my sister got the Spider Roll and hers was really good. Overall our server Anna was so sweet and attentive, I would definitely recommend. Everything came out quick and fresh!

First time visiting Fredicksburg which is a German town. I came across this Sushi spot. Upon entering, the decor was amazing and we were greeted. Shauna was our server and she was great and very attentive. She explained the menu to us and gave us some food recommendations. We ordered the Kani Roll and pork fried rice. The food was so delicious. For the Kani roll it has shrimp tempura, avocado, cream cheese, krab, sweet soy, chili Aioli and Tempura flakes. For the fried rice we ordered the pork fried rice. Overall the experience was great. I highly recommend visiting this sushi spot.

We went during g a happy hour, I highly suggest, as the prices are on the higher end. No kid kindly options available, maybe perhaps the gyoza. Both the gyoza and spicy edamame off the appetizer list were good. We tried the crab and salmon hand rolls which were tasty. The leche martini was delicious and dangerous all together. I'd go back for the martini anytime. Staff were friendly. Restaurant was clean. High chairs available. Bar seating as well as outdoor seating is available.

Brian and Cass were awesome. Me and my boyfriend sat at the bar and they took great care of us. Loved the cocktails, the skewers, and the crunchy rice. The decor is so cute and cozy. We'll def be back, esp for happy hour!

Tiki Drinks and good vibes!

Great tiki drinks and sushi! You have to try the pork belly skewers as an appetizer. They were absolutely delicious. Our server Bret was very attentive and offered friendly recommendations. We would absolutely come back every time we visit Fredericksburg.

Couldn't get in to Jack's Chophouse next door so we tried Sushi Tiki. It's in an old house on Main Street. Patio bar in front with tables and a sushi bar inside. The interior is very tiki but question the choice of having a large Japanese battle flag and photo of a WWII Japan Imperial Army soldier as part of the design. Weird. Had a Mai Tai to start which was 'OK' - pretty heavy on the orgeat. Also pricey at $18 (I was at Trader Vic's in Tokyo last November; Mai Tai's were $14. In Tokyo!). Ordered chicken karaage which was good. Served with ranch and sweet and sour sauces. (Fusion?). My friend had a glass of red and 2 sirloin skewers ($28) for dinner. I unfortunately ordered the Mongolian Beef ($38) spicy style. It was almost inedible - *extremely* spicy (and I like spice). Indigestion followed. Ordered a scoop of Matcha ice cream ($6) to cool my mouth. Total for an app, Mai Tai, glass of red, 2 entrees and a scoop of ice cream was $145.56 not including tip. IMHO not worth it. But 3 stars for the karaage, service and weirdly cool interior.

Everything we have is amazing! The rolls, skewers, RAMEN. Kim is an amazing server as well!

New to the town, but had to try this sushi joint cuz it seemed like the only true sushi forward place in town. Nicely decorated, cool little bar, and good nigiri and dumplings. Drinks are great. Sat at the bar. Brian, the bartender, took care of us fantastically. 5/5

If you haven't been to Martini's Seafood House in Fredericksburg, stop what you're doing and go --…read moreand when you get there, ask for Hunter. Right in the heart of Hill Country, Martini's manages to bring the best of coastal fine dining to Texas wine country. The vibe is upscale but relaxed, the cocktails are creative and perfectly crafted, and the seafood is as fresh as it gets. We're talking oysters, beautifully presented seafood towers, and dishes that absolutely deliver on every level. But what truly elevated our experience was our server, Hunter. From the moment we sat down, Hunter was attentive, warm, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. Not once did we have to flag anyone down -- Hunter was simply there, anticipating what we needed before we even asked. The recommendations were spot-on, the pacing of the meal was perfect, and Hunter's personality made the whole evening feel like we were being hosted by a friend rather than just served at a restaurant.

You should know, this is an intimate space with only eight 4 tops and a dozen seats at the bar and that's all. We got here on a Wednesday happy hour, and the place was almost full, so making a reservation might be in order. The happy hour food and drink specials is most likely the reason why the place was almost packed. The dinner menu takes the prices to the next level. We started off with a couple of $10 martinis and decided on four happy hour menu items. My shrimp Po boy came on a crunchy French baguette and the Seabass was cooked to perfection. No wonder this place was packed. At six on the dot a pianist took the stage and livened up the atmosphere. The happy hour crowd trickled out, and the dinner folks strolled in. We added their bruschetta as the final piece and it was really very fresh. Some notes of interest that others may have missed: 3% credit card fee, no wifi and there's mouthwash for you in the bathroom. Definitely a place to revisit. 10 informative photos to get you through the door.

We enjoyed the atmosphere - it looks like a house-turned-bar and has so much charm. We were able to place our orders at the bar and one of the bartenders brought it out to us in the backyard. We sipped on our delicious drinks while rocking on the swinging bench outside. We decided to share the volcano ashes and floating petals cocktails. The volcano ashes was a bit too bitter for my taste - if you're someone who wants very little sweetness in your drink, this is the one for you. The floating petals was much more my style - the mix of floral tastes was lovely and it was on the slightly sweeter end, just how I like it! We decided on two sangrias after that which were nicely spiced and absolutely lovely. As it got colder outside we decided to move to one of their side rooms, which has nice furniture and is a bit more private than the main room. The bartenders were very kind and the drinks were delicious! Definitely check this spot out on your next visit to Fredericksburg.

Outdoor bar & restrooms available too. The inside is clean, bright, upscale comfortable vibes. Multiple seating options and a private room available. Large menu. I enjoyed the 1/2 sandwich combo with BLTA and salad. The sourdough was buttery deliciousness! Sturdy enough to hold up the thick bacon, lettuce, tomato, mashed avocado and had a light layer of aioli that I appreciated did not take over the sandwich. The salad was light, tasty, & the glazed pecans were a special treat. The other dishes enjoyed were the Texas Triple and 1/2 Chicken salad sandwich with potato corn soup. This a wonderful place that you should try when in the area. They don't take reservations unless you're George Strait. We went on a Monday just before noon (before summer break) and there was no wait.

My husband ordered the tri-tip,…read moreand when ordering, the waiter stated it could only be prepared medium-rare or more well done -- not rarer -- and we placed the order based on that. When the dish arrived, however, the steak was clearly overcooked and closer to well done than medium-rare. When we raised the concern, the waiter claimed she had told us the meat would come out anywhere from medium-rare to well done due to how it sits in the warmer, and then suggested we must have misunderstood her initial explanation. This contradiction was frustrating and unprofessional, especially as it felt like our concern was being dismissed rather than addressed. Both the waiter and manager insisted the steak was cooked correctly, despite it clearly not being medium-rare. After we sent it back, they replaced it with a filet that was prepared properly. They did remove the original entrée from the bill, but then charged us for the filet at cost. Given the situation, it would have been more appropriate to simply substitute the filet at the original menu price. Unfortunately, my meal was also very underwhelming. The fish lacked flavor and was not enjoyable. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, especially for a special anniversary dinner. I will say -- the hummus plate was delightful. Light and great flavor for an appetizer. The drinks were also very good too.

Overall, 1 of our favorite food stops on this trip! Our order consisted of 1 order of bang bang shrimp, 1 spinach & artichoke dip appetizer, a shared seared salmon dish (not pictured), 1 blackberry margarita (not pictured), & 1 blueberry mule (not pictured). For me, the best part of our order was the bang bang shrimp. If I get to go back I'll just order 2 of those & call it good! The spinach & artichoke appetizer was good, but offered a pretty standard flavor profile. The seared salmon was the best salmon dish I've tasted in a long time, paring nicely with the mashed potatoes & roasted veggies that came with it. Both cocktails were amazing, but my wife said the blackberry margarita was fantastic. The most negative thing about GH was extremely limited indoor seating availability & the lack of reservations, but now you've been warned. It was a short trip for us, but we will be back to GH on our next visit to Fredericksburg for sure.
