We had a fantastic experience at Sushi Teri. We are in a nice and fairly private terrace behind the restaurant. They helped us to put our bicycles in a secure spot while we dined. Their food is fresh and delicious everything was tasty and healthy both. The fish was very very fresh. Our waitress did a fantastic job fast and friendly service and they provided plastic cups with lids and chopsticks that kids can use easily for the kids. The portions were good sized and we were able to take some leftovers home. The prices were very reasonable!!!! Thanks to Sushi Teri. Highly recommended!!!! read more

Review of dinner service on 9/9/23. Our 1st time here and the food was ok. Service was friendly and fast (since we were the first customers at 5pm). Maybe it was an "off" night but the sushi rice used in their sushi was way too mushy. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and an avocado/cucumber roll and both were really mushy tasting. I can barely taste any shrimp in the tempura roll. I was definitely disappointed in the rolls. I think the hot foods that we ordered that night was better. We ordered the Korean bbq short ribs (comes with miso soup or salad) and orange (popcorn) chicken bowl (lots of chicken and cut up stir fried veggies over a huge amount of rice). I'm rounding up to 4 STARS on account of their garlic edamame. Freaking. Amazing. I arrived here around 5:15 PM or so and was seated promptly. The employees who greeted me were nice enough. They do not have Happy Hour apparently, but that's no problem. I can make it work. I decided to order their garlic edamame and Salmon Nigiri. The edamame was amazing. So darn good. All the garlic which makes everything better. It was served very hot. I was very impressed. The Nigiri was good. A small amount of Ginger was included, and I asked for a side of Spicy Mayo. I was given a very small amount of the Spicy Mayo but I made it work also. :) I guess all in all it was a good enough experience. If I'm in the area again though I may try something else. What is there to say about a place called "Sushi Teri" that does not marinate its teriyaki meat dishes or slice them rather thinly? I'm from Hawaii,3rd gen born/raised. Raised on teriyaki steak prepared by 80 year-old Mama-sans born in Japan, so I KNOW my teriyaki. Sushi Teri brushes it on or dips the meat in the marinade. By their own admission. Teriyaki Marinade infuses the meat with delicious flavors and and AND tenderizes it. Otherwise you have shoe leather on with a vague hint of some sauce. Never again. Sadly. Used to love eating here but last week something was not right. We were seated promptly and offered beverages that arrived quickly followed by our order being taken, miso soup then... We waited. And waited. Different people checked on our beverages but no food. I understand staff shortages, food shortages, and other challenges faced by restaurants is days. This was not that. There were plenty of wait people, kitchen staff, and the restaurant was not packed so, what happened? Our sushi entrées arrived without wasabi or ginger. When we asked for it our server acted like that was something extra. My salad had no dressing. It was also slimy so I didn't end up eating it once I figured that out. One of us received the wrong order but didn't send it back because they were too hungry to return it. We have ordered from Sushi Teri 2x in the last two weeks. Both times our food was delicious. My husband ordered the Carpinteria roll and both times it was made exactly as described and was delicious. Sushi is hard to do for take out and the first time I was late so the roll wasn't as hot as it should have been. Yesterday I was waiting and the roll was brought to me and in front of my hubby within 5 minutes. It was piping hot and perfect, per him. We had the Gyoza and miso soup; both great. I had some sushi a la carte and a veggie roll. All was good. The food was packed safely and we got the necessary sides (ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce) in each order without asking.
