Sushi was just okay in my opinion. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and the "light my fire." I really enjoyed the light my fire, bit of kick. We also ordered a ahi tower which wasn't the best. It was a little difficult to eat in the way it was displayed. I felt the rolls were kind of expensive at $16 a piece. Overall, not bad but not necessity somewhere I would come back to.

The sushi and drinks were really good. I really liked the look of the inside of the restaurant, high ceilings and big windows.

Really good happy hour deals! $4 draft beer and $6 sushi - and the classic sushi is not skimpy sushi. Really enjoyable and will def come back! No issue sitting at the bar around 5:30pm Saturday

Sushi Rock is a great late-night food spot in Arlington--especially if you grab a seat at the bar, where they offer discounted dishes from 9 PM to close. Despite the deals, the portions are generous and the quality is still on point. I recommend the kalbi tacos and rolls like the shrimp tempura and tempura sweet miso. Perfect for satisfying sushi cravings without the usual price tag. Great vibe for a casual night out!

    Quail shooters. Fresh and delicious!

I wish I would have taken pictures but I was busy enjoying the food and the interactive staff. First I will say I from Las Vegas and I travel a bit so I am well exposed to good food. I visit the DMV area several times a year and always look to try new places. The staff at Sushi Rock were all great. Great conversation and quick to bring food and drinks. I didn't sit right in front of the sushi chefs but others seemed to be interacting well with them too. The bartender was great conversation made great drinks. The quality of the drinks and everything I ate were amazing. Both the bartender and the manager gave food and drink recommendations that did not disappoint. The scenery inside was modern and comfortable. I also enjoyed the great music playlist they had going. Sorry I only took a picture of the qual shooters (I ordered multiple rounds) Overall, great food, great presentation (food and drinks), great service and good prices.

I love this place so much! Happy hour is great and pretty decent offerings on the happy hour menu. The service has always been exceptionally pleasant and I have nothing inherently negative to share about this spot. In fact, it's one of my go-to spots for sushi and a happy hour. There is one thing I'd recommend them removing from the menu - the wonton nachos. They are simply not good. I've tried them twice - to confirm if I didn't like them or if the first time I had them wasn't an off day. I've concluded that they're simply not good. I'd encourage the team to re-work them a bit or remove them. They're dry & there's nothing exciting about them - even with the up charge of adding a meat to them (I added chicken). Everything else is amazing!! I really enjoy coming here.

Must go for happy hour! Good portions for HH and the drink deals are amazing, especially Thursdays- $4 off signature cocktails. The edamame is a good size and the tempura is a lot! (For happy hour) service is amazing and our server was very nice and attentive. The crispy rice spicy tuna can be a two-biter. So good and portion is bigger than expected

This place is overhyped. They sat us at high tops without sharing that other people would also be seated at the table, which was awkward as you can imagine. Food didn't make up for it either. Crab roll was disgusting and we had to send it back. Avocado + Salmon roll was really mid. The Shrimp tempura was the only thing I slightly enjoyed. Service was slow and inattentive. I will say the happy hour prices are a good deal, but honestly not worth it. At several points staff would walk past us with food that smelled so raw it felt like we are at a fish market. Would not recommend this place and do not plan on coming back.

Spontaneously hopped in for happy hour (which is only at the bar, by the way) with a couple friends. Had a sushi craving, but know that I did not go in with the expectation of having authentic or fresh sushi. That being said, I scarfed down the eel & avocado roll and tempura roll with sweet miso and my friends enjoyed their crispy rice spicy tuna dynamite rolls. Service left something to be desired, as the bartenders were not proactive and didn't crack a smile. We never got served waters either, which I'd imagine is standard at a food establishment.

We had a great time at Sushi Rock! I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the fish, and I love the rock n roll theme.

Nice ceviche (with thin crispy wonton skins) on a hot summer day. Lovely sashimi over rice (it's chirashi). Enjoyed their simple pork ramen (thin noodle) if a bit expensive for what it is. Sushi Rock remains fashionable (beautiful patio outside, see my photo); tall ceiling and modern and arty inside. I ordered on UberEats for self pick up but had to wait for a long time even after arrival (and after the app says "your food should be ready"). That's the estimate Sushi Rock itself gave. Not busy at all (not meal time) here. So what took so long? They were not proactive either even after I arrived. I was there and no one bothered checking on my order or coming to give me any update. I had to go up there to tell them I have been waiting for a long time which is when they finally finished packing up my order.

Very good! Sushi names are based on rock genre and so are the drinks. Service is very nice!

Food: Sushi was so fresh, we did AYCE for New Years and everything was made to order and was so fresh, not to mention a nice variety for the menu choices. Ambiance & service : always a nice clean environment, friendly waitstaff and support staff (cleaning crew). Bathrooms were nice and clean and stocked well with extra toilet paper and napkins.

Ask the Community - Sushi Rock

Do they have an ayce menu?

    No :/

Are they still doing happy hour?

Yes they do, but typically you have to sit at the bar!

Has happy hour extended to the outdoor area while the inside is closed?

Sadly not! I called and asked the other day and they said happy hour is only inside.

Is there happy hour for food or drinks?

Yes, for both! 3-7 everyday and then again at 10pm just for food. Only at the bar though.

Does Sushi Rock have an all-you-can-eat option? If so, what is the price?

I never saw that option, would be awesome though

A Spectacular Journey Through Washington, D.C…read more The views throughout Washington, D.C. are nothing short of breathtaking. I started by taking in the skyline from a rooftop, which set the tone for what would become a truly unforgettable tour. The vantage point from the Marine Corps Memorial was powerful and inspiring, with Arlington Cemetery stretching solemnly behind it, reminding me of the deep history and sacrifice embedded in this city. Standing at the Lincoln Memorial, I was able to see the iconic sweep of the National Mall, the Washington Monument rising proudly in the distance. Walking down toward it, every step felt like strolling through the center of American history. Cutting across to the Jefferson Memorial, I was greeted by a beautiful structure perfectly reflected in the surrounding waters--absolutely outstanding. From there, I could look back across the Mall and glimpse the White House anchored in the heart of the capital. That view alone was gorgeous. Approaching the Washington Monument up close was awe-inspiring, its height dominating the city's horizon. The next day, I continued this incredible journey by seeing the White House from all sides--the north, the west, and the south--each angle offering a different look at one of the most recognizable buildings in the world. Finally, strolling down the streets lined with federal institutions--from the Department of Labor, to the IRS, to the Securities and Exchange Commission--really showcased the power and importance of the nation's government at work. And as a perfect finale, I arrived at the magnificent Capitol Building on Capitol Hill, standing proudly above it all. From start to finish, the views around Washington, D.C. are stunning, historical, and moving--a visual reminder of the incredible story of America.

The Iwo Jima Memorial is directly opposite the Top of the Town building. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the Potomac River and have views of all the significant buildings in Washington, DC. The inside is spacious - we had 92 guests seated at ten tables, and there was plenty of space for the dance floor, drinks table, and dessert table. We also took advantage of the outside patio because we had great weather, and after sunset, many of us went outside to watch the full moon rise. Catering was provided by Genesis Delight Catering, a company that has experience serving food at TotT and knows the kitchens. The event staff at the TotT are experienced and friendly and will ensure that your event is the best it can be. We enthusiastically recommend this event space. Sheridan Dalier, the event coordinator at TotT, provided generous assistance before our event when we were in the planning stages. She was friendly, experienced, and very helpful. When we learned we could hire Sheridan to help us during our party to take care of the final set-up, last-minute fixes, and any surprises, we gave an enthusiastic "Yes, please." For example, she ensured the audio-visual system had the correct cord to show our slides. She kept track of the gifts we received. She handled questions and requests from our guests. As the evening's event coordinator, Sheridan's help was important, making a great evening even better! We enthusiastically recommend Sheridan Dalier's services as event coordinator.

It's easy to get to and appreciate that parking is simple via the attached garage (albeit the garage is interesting and could be the scene of a horror film). There are ample food options as well since this place is nestled in Ballston with the outdoor area on Wilson crawling with restaurants. If you need something quick, fast casual spots and fast food in general are offered in the food court inside of the mall. Now for the actual game review. It's best to book in advance online. Things are super easy and much faster; you also do not have to pick a game right away. So far I've played the Floor is Lava, a more family oriented one with my nephew, and most recently Squid Games with my nieces. Note that the latter is better suited for older kids. My youngest niece who is 5 had a couple of issues maneuvering her avatar during Squid Games. Of the three I played, Squid Games has been my favorite, naturally. Youngest niece kept dying every time she stepped foot. I was telling her to go left go left and she screamed back at me that she hadn't learned left or right yet, then proceeded to get picked off. Game aside, please note you are welcome to purchase drinks from the room. If you are playing a game that's more than 30 mins, note you will need water. There is a lot of moving around. Also note, sadly the water is Dasani so prepare to have your tastebuds assaulted.

I went with my niece and was genuinely surprised by how much fun we had! The games were interactive, challenging, and a total blast. We laughed a lot, got competitive, and I'm pretty sure people in the other rooms (or "boxes") could hear us having a great time. I'm really glad we gave it a try, and I'd definitely go back. If you have kids or are looking for a unique family outing, I'd say the passes are well worth it. One quick tip: Know exactly where you're going before you arrive. I didn't realize the location is on the outside of the mall, which wasn't a big issue for me, but it could be frustrating if you're tight on time. The confirmation emails do a solid job providing directions--if you're driving and parking. But if you're getting dropped off (like I was via Uber), the signage and location can be a little tricky to spot. A minor hiccup, but something to be aware of.

The Hyatt Place in Arlington was a wonderful stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed wasn't the best hotel bed, but it wasn't horrible. It just felt more like a futon than a bed. This particular one is in a decent location, close to a metro stop and within walking distance of some restaurants not too far away. The rooms are exactly what you'd expect from a Hyatt Place, with the bed(s), couch, mini-fridge, bathroom, etc... Yet my experience here felt a bit subpar relative to my other stays at Hyatt Place hotels. This is mainly because of two minor things. First, I felt my interactions with staff were a bit frustrating. They were perfectly nice and polite, but I feel a bit slow. Upon check in, they asked for a credit card to take a security deposit and I asked them to charge it to the card on file. They either didn't understand or refused. I gave them the same card I had on file. It was the same thing. But that always annoys me and takes up more time than necessary. At breakfast the next day, they rope off the lobby creating a single entry point where they check your name for breakfast. Typically the free breakfast at Hyatt Place hotels is open and you just walk in. While I recognize this method is susceptible to random people walking in to take advantage of the breakfast, having a guest list to check off for such a basic (arguably not even good) breakfast seems a bit uninviting and indeed, time consuming. This is a perfectly fine hotel to stay at when in the area. But compared to the standard Hyatt Place experience, it falls short. Three stars.
