Excellent service. Our waitress was very attentive and the sushi chef was very helpful on suggesting for sauces and substitutions. Will definitely be back

Sushi Box - Ate a few pieces before taking pic.

Bluefin Bistro and Kitchen stands out as one of the better sushi spots on the Pike.. The rolls are generously packed with fish. More than other nearby options. The tun and salmon rolls are consistently solid and reasonably priced at around $9 each. I've tried the sushi box as well, which is $20. It comes with gyoza, tempura, salad, miso soup, spicy tuna rolls, and four pieces of nigiri. The box comes with variety. I also tried the omakase before, which features eight types of fish and hand roll. A great pick if you want to sample a bit of everything. And yes, I couldn't resist... I ate a few pieces before snapping these pics. Parking in the garage is free, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood.

So yummy and tasty very fresh fish. Also real authentic wasabi that had the right spice and kick. Amazingly kind service very attentive and helpful. Good miso soup and salad came with this meal aswell. Also black dragon roll was amazing wish i took a picture but we all ate it up fast.

I came on a Friday night right after dinner rush. There were plenty of seats available, that being said I decided to sit at the bar. The restaurant seemed very modern and a great place for both a casual or business dinner. I ordered a sashimi dinner and appetizer and a bottle of Saki that was suggested by the waiter. Everything tasted great, fresh, and nothing seemed frozen like other places I've been. The pieces of sashimi were thick and I felt like I got a really great deal. If you're looking for a place that's tucked in a shopping center and not to busy that taste great and won't break the bank I would suggest this place. Lastly when finding parking I stuffed the under ground parking where the Harris teeter is.

About a 3.5: Bluefish Bistro had recently opened in the plaza where Harris Teeter is - this Korean-owned sushi restaurant offers an extensive menu that includes hot and cold apps, salads, sashimi, nigiri, maki rolls, specialty rolls, entrees (such as bento boxes, grilled chicken, grilled salmon, garlic shrimp, etc.), noodle dishes, soups, and daily lunch specials. We came here for an early dinner and were able to be seated right away. We ordered: +two ootoro nigiris - the ootoro was fresh and melted in our mouths; I loved that they didn't use too much rice +tempura udon - in a kombu broth with a side of shrimp and vegetable (zucchini, sweet potato) tempura; definitely request some togarashi; the broth was way too bland for me; the veggie tempura were definitely more crispier; the shrimp, while large and juicy, the batter was less crispy and a little more soggy +the Sashimi Combo B - this came with a chef's choice of 15 pieces of sashimi; nicely presented with generous cuts; there were a few cuts that were okay, and some that I didn't care for; the quality of the fish was okay; this was served with a generous cup of miso and a salad that a delicious creamy sesame dressing I thought it was funny that they had tiki glasses to serve water in - ha! The staff were very welcoming and kind; very attentive, and everything was cleared in a timely manner. The space is cute and cozy. Parking is free in the retail underground garage, and the restaurant is easy to get to. +ootoro nigiris +good veggie tempura +friendly & kind service! +free retail garage parking available

So happy that this spot opened up near me for when I need some sushi!! The physical spot and ambiance is so cute - parking is also easy and free in the Harris Teeter lot. Big pro for this area! I got my food to go so can't speak too much to service, however I can speak on the food. I thought the portion sizes were great, and it tasted good. My one minor complaint is that the rice was extremely sticky - way too much so (perhaps something wasn't balanced when making the rice). Still, I can hope that this won't be the case all the time - and will definitely return!

My friend and I came on a slower evening and we found garage parking within a very short walk to the bistro. Even though there was only one server managing the floor, the service was lovely. The interior is pretty and it felt perfect for a cozy and quiet date atmosphere. The portions were large and the sushi was pretty standard. Overall a good experience.

I was looking for a nice, relaxed spot to eat sushi with a friend and stumbled upon this place on a whim. Parking was convenient with the garage next door, though it's easy to get turned around, so remember where you park. The restaurant is located a few doors down from Harris Teeter at the front of the building. Upon entering, I was seated quickly. The staff were very friendly while I waited for my friend to arrive. Once we both sat down and received our waters, we browsed the menu and ordered a variety of sushi. The food came out relatively quickly, and as we were finishing our first rolls, the server promptly asked if we wanted more. We happily ordered a few more rolls. Overall, everything tasted good and my friend and I enjoyed catching up over a nice meal. I noticed a few parties of four and a couple of two, but the venue isn't the largest, so I'm not sure how well it would accommodate larger groups. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable experience and I would definitely like to try more items from the menu.

If you are an Ariake fan, you'll love this new sushi spot! This spot is a chef-owned family restaurant - a relatively small restaurant with a modern, clean interior. Service is really nice and quick, providing you miso soup and salad as starters, and a cool tiki water cup haha. They probably serve some of the freshest fish & ingredients, and they also provide specialty cuts that you usually can't find anywhere else. We had Madai, Kanpachi, Uni, and a range of Bluefin Tuna: Otoro (super-fatty), Chu-toro (medium-fatty), and Akami (lean-tuna), and for the specialty rolls, I was obsessed over the Summer Breeze that was topped with strawberries. Highly recommend this spot, and will definitely be back!

The food at Sakaki is full of flavor and the prices are reasonable for the amount. I think, after being twice, that the AYCE is not as worth it for me personally because I'm not a big eater, but it's totally worth it if you want a lot of variety and you have a good appetite. I really liked the rolls in particular. The service was excellent- it was a nice balance of coming over once in a while to ask how we were doing without coming over too much. The vibes are awesome with a really nice interior- definitely a nice place to go for a date,!just to go with friends to have a nice meal, or even to grab a meal alone since the center has a large area for single seating. Fyi- for the AYCE menu, note that once you put in an order for a round, you can't order for another 10 min so be sure to order enough at a time. Also, there is a time limit to the AYCE (I think it was 90 min). This'll definitely be a place I go to regularly in the future!

While we were there multiple larger parties arrived so it does look like they can handle the larger crowds. We were seated closer to the sushi bar/kitchen area but it appeared that there was a larger dining area on the other end of the restaurant. Food wise, i highly recommend the sweet shrimp and scallop sushi! The pieces melted like butter and tasted so creamy! The rice quantity is on the bigger side as well as the portions so be careful when ordering. The ramen was also a hit along with the aged tofu! Those were my top favorites!! Service was decent! Nothing over the top, our server checked in a few times, and the overall service wasn't too slow given the crowd. There is no dedicated parking lot so street parking is it for this area. My husband and I dined in for the first time today, and we were both very impressed with the atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. Hayden was our server, and he showed exemplary hospitality skills. He made us feel welcome, checked in on us frequently without feeling overbearing, and made sure we knew the AYCE menu is double-sided. Speaking of, the AYCE is such a great deal! I used to live in Vegas, where AYCE sushi is very common. Unfortunately, for most of them, since the focus is on quantity, the quality suffers. This is not the case for Toryumon! Maybe it's because it isn't strictly an AYCE place. You can absolutely order items a-la-carte from their regular menu (as I had done previously for take-out). The items are exactly the same whether you order from the regular menu or the AYCE. Same quality, and, this is important, same size! Yes, you will receive a FULL-SIZED bowl of ramen if you order it from the AYCE menu. Not all of the menu items have descriptions, and I was surprised by some of them (not in a bad way, just wasn't what I was expecting), such as: The avocado salad. I was expecting it to be cubes/chunks of avocado tossed with a dressing. What came out was a lettuce salad with sliced avocado on top. The dressing was good, slightly sweet. It was a good salad, just not at all what I was expecting. The sweet potato sushi roll is served warm, the sweet potato is deep fried, and there is eel sauce on top. The sweet potato rolls I had other places were not fried, and served cold. I really enjoyed this one! Everything seemed very fresh, not a hint of wilting greens or brown avocado to be seen! I am so grateful to live right down the road from this amazing establishment. If you enjoy ramen, sushi, and other Japanese items, def give them a try! There are bathrooms available for guests. What my stars mean: 5 is outstanding, memorable, a place to write home about! A must-experience. Someplace I would love to recommend to tourists, and visit myself again and again. 4 is great, somewhere I'd love to return again and again. Back-up recommendation for tourists. 3 is good. A solid option if I am in the area. I may recommend to locals, but would probably leave it off my list of recommendations for tourists. 2 is ok, but only because it a great value, unique, and/or convenient. 1 means I would not return.

I was hungry so ordered the spring rolls appetizer AND one of the lunch specials (choose 2 sushi rolls + salad/soup) Spring Rolls - 6/10 They are actually fried and hot to the touch so be careful! I cut mine before eating. At $6, they are pretty decent value. Lunch Special Salad - 8/10 I loved the carrot miso vinagraitte on the iceberg lettuce. The only thing that would have made it better would be a nice crunch (toasted sesame seeds/wonton crisps) Shrimp Tempura Roll - 7.5/10 This is an elevated tempura roll with orange roe and eel sauce. Very filling as far as sushi rolls go. Salmon/Mango/Avocado Roll - 5/10 The rice layer on this roll was paper thin and the salmon tasted flat and flavorless, instead of that rich, buttery taste that high quality fresh salmon should have. On this visit, I noticed that the fillings are generous here but the rice is sparse/underseasoned on vinegar. I'd love to better appreciate the fine balance of the ingredients. Instead of actually greeting me, and asking me to give them a moment, she looks up at me (not even the staff member on the phone) and raises her finger at me??? The audacity of that was plenty of fuel for the one star. As if that weren't enough, when the associate that was on the phone was done, her colleague looks at me and asked what I "needed"...I chose to tell her I was there to dine, again, standing there alone, and her response was, "I'm not supposed to automatically know that." Representing the restaurant in this manner let me know she didn't desire my business, or presence. I promptly let her know that I'd pass on dining there, and left your establishment. I don't care HOW good your food may be, your staff's customer service and attitude ruined the chance I was taking to try a new local establishment. I'll be sure to share my experience with whoever asks, but I encourage the enhancement of customer service training to prevent losing more diners like myself.

They also have a few solid combo deals, though I usually prefer trying a variety of items instead. Service was quick, which is always appreciated at a sushi spot. We ordered a few specialty rolls, two traditional rolls, and a couple orders of sashimi, all served together on one platter. The rolls were a great size -- filling without being overly large.
