All the food was good quality and everyone was very nice. I just don't like the concept they have in place. You can only order every 10 mins and limited to 10 items per person so if you order 10 pieces of a single sashimi you can't order anything else for 10 mins. Everyone has to order at the same time. It's not really all you can eat. Also, they did not bring everything we ordered. We tried to prioritize sashimi but they just wouldn't bring it so it felt like a waste of an order. I probably wouldn't be back because of the limitations and not receiving the food we actually wanted.

Very happy with this spot! As all new AYCE sushi restaurants are, you never really know what the quality will be like until you give it a try. Luckily, this place has really great fish quality! The standout fishes for me were the yellowtail and eel. Not every sushi restaurant even offer these two options, let alone have it at a good quality, so I was pleasantly surprised! The rolls were inventive and yummy and small kitchen items like crab rangoons hit the spot as well. My one note is that the rice unfortunately was mushy and I think too heavy on the rice seasoning. I think they may have added too much water when making the days batch of rice, so I don't expect it to be a problem all the time. If they can get the rice consistent then it will be top! The staff were all very kind. They definitely were still learning, but if there was ever any issue they would address it right away. They also validate parking in the garage for 2 hours free! The restaurant is very clean and decorated cute. Being less than 10mins away from me, I am glad to have this sushi option!

We went during lunch for their sushi and sashimi combo (35 pp) as opposed to their normal sushi combo (30pp). They have a special going on this month for September. The interior is great and clean. Everything looks new. The fish was very fresh and the service was great. The best thing is that you order everything on a tablet, and you get to order 10 items every 10 minutes. We had a lot of great sashimi and sushi. Will definitely be back.

Really impressed with this new all-you-can-eat sushi spot! The fish was incredibly fresh, and there was a great variety of options, between noodles, katsu, dumplings, sushi, etc. there's something for everyone. Everything we tried was delicious, and the quality was especially impressive for an AYCE restaurant. They're currently in their soft opening and our visit was a 10/10. Clearly under professional management; the manager was walking around checking in with folks and explaining the concept of high quality AYCE sushi -which we can now vouch for! Can't wait to return. Advice- portions are generous so pace yourself!

When I hear sushi and all you can eat in the same sentence I typically proceed with caution. No…read moreneed for caution here. From the moment I walked in Kay gave prompt, professional service. He walked me through the options and ordering was a breeze. The price point is a little higher than your average all you can eat dining experience, but well worth it. I must've had 15 pieces of nigiri. Having worked in a sushi restaurant I can tell you it was phenomenally well done. Beautifully fresh and buttery and the sushi rice was perfect. The eel kamameshi was a highlight and came with a showing amount of eel. Finished everything off with the matcha tiramisu and a cup of green tea. I won't need to eat for days. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you Kay and team!

First off, let me just say.... If I'm honest, whenever I…read moreshow up to an AYCE I'm always skeptical with the quality of the food, especially when it comes to sushi but wow, I was blown away how great it was for AYCE. The set- up and the ambiance is very comfortable and sleek/modern with the main sushi chefs in the middle and the tables around them. The tables have waiters and a tablet at the table like most hot pot/kbbq places and you can order everything off of there. I have only been here once and wanted to try to low tier without going "all in" on the top tier option of diamond without knowing how the basics would taste. Let me say if the bottom tier was as good as it was, I'm excited to come back to try the next tier! Anyway, the basic tier already comes with a lot of sushi options and should be enough for those who are craving just sushi. All of the cuts of nigiri was great, all tender with great flavor, but what stood out to me the most was actually the yellowtail, super buttery and great flavor. The eel was also a top choice! All the rolls were good basic to the fancier ones, I would say that most of the bang for the buck would be the nigiri. The rolls are good but a little too much rice for me personally. The appetizers, didn't spend too much time on them but the chicken karaage was solid and the seaweed salad was my two favorite. Overall, super solid for the price and I'd totally want to go again to try more of their options! 100% recommend!

Toryumon wasn't crowded and there was inexpensive street parking close by. We quickly realized that Toryumon's all-you-can eat is head and shoulders above your usual Asian buffet restaurants for three reasons: your food is cooked to order, Toryumon has great recipes, and lastly, they use quality ingredients. Service was fabulous. Lots of options on the all-you-can eat memu. We started out with miso soup that was rich, delicious and had just the right amount of seaweed and finely diced tofu. The kanji salad was outstanding, the best I've ever come across. We loved the pork gyoza, ceviche and shumai. I also loved the beef hibachi, which came with vegetables, fried rice, and a most delicious dipping sauce. I'm not sure how they prepared it, but the endamame was especially tasty. The agu dashi was different than we expected. Usually it comes in broth, but Toryumon's agu dashi was fried tofu squares with an excellent dipping sauce. The spider and double spicy rolls were decent, but were shaped too large and in a little rough around the edges in appearance. Flavorwise, they were still good. We were a bit disappointed that they had run out of the chocolate and vanilla mochi dessert, but we settled for the matcha mochi which was good.

When I came in for Tuesday lunch, I wondered why this place wasn't teeming with more young professionals?! I mean, Ballston Quarter serves up $14 platters, which is the same lunch special here. And with tip screens so ubiquitous... you get the point. Anyhow, the server for my table was gracious. She exuded a very kind energy. And now onto the food... I was hungry so ordered the spring rolls appetizer AND one of the lunch specials (choose 2 sushi rolls + salad/soup) Spring Rolls - 6/10 They are actually fried and hot to the touch so be careful! I cut mine before eating. At $6, they are pretty decent value. Lunch Special Salad - 8/10 I loved the carrot miso vinagraitte on the iceberg lettuce. The only thing that would have made it better would be a nice crunch (toasted sesame seeds/wonton crisps) Shrimp Tempura Roll - 7.5/10 This is an elevated tempura roll with orange roe and eel sauce. Very filling as far as sushi rolls go. Salmon/Mango/Avocado Roll - 5/10 The rice layer on this roll was paper thin and the salmon tasted flat and flavorless, instead of that rich, buttery taste that high quality fresh salmon should have. On this visit, I noticed that the fillings are generous here but the rice is sparse/underseasoned on vinegar. I'd love to better appreciate the fine balance of the ingredients. Overall though, I enjoyed my meal. It is a strong spot and one that I would return to.

Another good find!…read more We are surprised this place was empty when we get there. The food was really good! We ordered the Tonkatsu Curry and for anyone who loves Coco Ichibanya in Japan, this is the closest we found here in DMV area. It was SO GOOD! We will go back to just have that again. For the sushi, there are one from the order that didn't fit for our taste buds. We liked most the two sushi from the left (including the eel) those are really good. The service was on point and the place is really nice. It could cater from small to big groups. They only have indoor seatings. At other times, Takohachi will validate your parking. We were the only customers. We liked that the front side of the restaurant is all windows, so with sunshine streaming in, the restaurant had a warm and cheery feel. We were a little overwhelmed when were given like four different menus. We started out with the pork belly appetizer, which was probably our best dish of the afternoon. We also ordered the spider roll. Takohachi's spider roll comes with soft-shell crab, avocado, crab and fish roe. It was pretty good though the roll slices seemed fragile and started to fall apart. We ordered some kind of tonkatsu "bento box". It came with an excellent chicken katsu (loved the crunchy breading), udon, rice and a simple salad. This entrée also came with these interesting rice "balls" that were rice with a toasted slightly sweet exterior. I also ordered a toasted rice ball. It's what you think a toasted rice ball would be, white rice in ball that's been toasted. No additional ingredients or flavorings. JP ordered a grilled whole sardine, which he liked. Service was friendly and attentive. We'll be back.

Whenever I go, I always order off the most premium tier and while it is pricey at $98 per person, I believe that it is completely worth the money. For endless rounds of high quality wagyu, sushi, ramen, etc., it is beyond easy to get your money's worth here. I've actually done the math totaling up how much we ate and what it would've been al le carte and it totaled to $400-500 total for two people so this is well worth it. The items I would highly recommend is everything off their wagyu tier, the wagyu fried rice, and their specialty rolls. Don't forget to end the meal off with some dessert as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the matcha crepe cake. This place is very modern and with an amazing staff that is super attentive. Water cup was always filled, they came back quick to ask what we wanted next (no waiting around necessary), cooked our meat perfectly for us. Overall, while this wouldn't be my everyday/daily dining option due to the price, it is my most favorite place to splurge at for any special occasions.
