Vegas to the left and Crunchy Tuna to the right!

Delicious!! Had the fried Vegas roll and crunch tuna roll ABSOLUTELY BOMB! The drinks are well priced and so yummy!

    Golden Cali roll

Great happy hour spot! Came in and tried the crunchy shrimp roll and the golden California roll -- both were fresh and packed with flavor. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and the place was spotless. Solid value for happy hour pricing. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

My favorite is the Chicken Katsu and for Lunch Special get Chicken Teriyaki and Chicken Katsu combo for $13.99 (pre tax). It comes with two scoops of rice and side salad. Chicken Teriyaki is tender and has a great smoke charred flavor, sauce is not overly sweet or salty. Rice is good quality and texture, cooked perfectly. The owner is friendly and the restaurant is kept clean. I read on other recent review that dine-in customers were served their meal in take-out containers and I can confirm that I saw a couple eating in at the restaurant today (while I was waiting for my takeout) and they were eating in takeout container as well. I know some places do this by default so I don't know if they've always done it this way, but I guess if I am eating in, I would prefer to eat my meal on a plate, something to note but not a reason for me to dock a star for it. The location is in a newer plaza complex in Lacey with plenty of parking and easy to get in and out roundabouts. Great pricing too. They kept it true and consistent through thick and thin over the years!

I went with General Tso's chicken and it was so nostalgic of the Chinese takeout I used to get as a college student. I like that you can ask for the teriyaki sauce on the side (to be more healthy). I finally got to try Katsu Burger with my son earlier this week (weekday afternoon), and I can…read moreconfidently say it lived up to the hype! When I initially walked in, it wasn't too busy, but it filled up quickly while I was still figuring out how to order. They use a kiosk system where you choose dine-in or takeout, and it's nicr that each menu item had photos and ingredient descriptions so it made it way easier to decide, especially for our first visit. The space itself is small and quaint with a couple tables, but full of lovely art. There's lots of cute anime and Japanese-themed decor, including figurines, plushies, and artwork, giving the place such a cozy, cutesy aesthetic. I also noticed they might be hiring, based on the sign at the entrance. I came here because my cousin-in-law (who lives in upper Washington) mentioned the place, and I needed a redemption meal after being disappointed by another chicken spot recently. Katsu Burger definitely delivered! The burgers here aren't your typical American-style burgers. They don't taste as greasy and sub cabbage instead of lettuce, similar to garnish for a tonkatsu plate. And surprisingly, the photos on the kiosk actually match what you get (no false advertising here!). The employee behind the counter was super kind and helped guide us through the ordering process. I don't think they take cash so maybe that's why orders are placed through the kiosk. For food: My son ordered the Tokyo Tower burger as-is, and I tried the Umami Burger with light cabbage (not a huge fan of crunchy water veggies like lettuce/cabbage/etc.). Both were AMAZING. I have heard of tonkatsu but I had no idea what beef katsu was before this. Thought it was just a regular beef patty, but wow.. it was crispy, flavorful, and just overall delicious. We ordered takeout and didn't even get home for about 30 minutes, but the food was still warm enough to enjoy without reheating. Portion-wise, my burger was perfect: filling but manageable (i think i made the right choice with light cabbage). My son's Tokyo Tower was massive (almost too big for him to handle xD), but we both agreed everything tasted incredible. I was tempted to try a bento box, but I knew I wouldn't finish it if I was already ordering a katsu burger. Next time though! My son already has his eye on the enormous Mt. Fuji burger, so we'll definitely be back. Parking is decent, though it can get busy during the day since it's near a gym and other businesses. Overall, if you're in the Lacey area, you HAVE to try this Katsu Burger at least once. It looks like they have about 8 other locations too in the other towns so if you're not in Lacey, there still might be one nearby you. The burgers are absolutely the star of the show :) I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

Reviewing for just the ramen since I haven't tried anything else on their menu…read more My son and I were craving ramen a few weeks ago and we've been trying out different ramen places to compare. We're down the street from Zen and decided to give their ramen a try. Parking is easy to locate but can be a bit crowded since it's in the same lot as Dutch Bros and a couple other shops. When we first entered, we were greeted by an employee (and the Naruto statue at the front hehe). It was fairly empty when we arrived since it was on a Friday around 4ish in the afternoon. You have to pay first when you order. You'll be provided a number placard to place at a table of your choose when you dine in, and your food will be brought to you when it is ready. Drinks are also self-serve (for soda). We decided upon water cups but it's at the same station as the sodas. There is a menu at the cash register for quick ordering if you know what you want (when you walk in, it's on the left). The employee also directed us to a menu with pictures and descriptions of each item (when you walk in, it's on the right). The place definitely has Japanese vibes for the interior decor with its oaky/wooden furniture and warm lighting. Our ramen arrived shortly after we seated ourselves. We both ordered similar spicy ramen, which ended up tasting fairly good. My son really enjoyed his ramen since he liked the level of spiciness and taste of the broth (spicy enough to taste the flavors and feel the heat but not enough to hurt). He also liked that the ingredients were balanced (not an overabundance of just ramen noodles). I did enjoy my ramen as well and shared similar views. My only criticism would be that the ramen options seemed very simplistic and many ingredients were similar, so it didn't feel like much variety. My son and I actually ordered two different kinds of ramen, believe it or not, but from the photos, they look almost identical. There's also only the option of tonkatsu or shoyu broth, regular or spicy. The soft boiled egg was delicious but it would have been nice to receive a full egg instead of just half. They are generous with their chasu portions at least, with its big slices. Not as tender compared to other places I've been to, though, but still tastes good. We enjoyed our experience here though so I can at least say that it's worth trying out the ramen. Not so sure about the sushi burritos but maybe we will consider for next time.

The chicken was much thicker than the chicken teriyaki you'd get at Panda Express and while the teriyaki sauce tasted a bit different, I enjoyed it. The meat was moist and tender and so delicious. And the portions were big too. I ended up taking about half of each entree and 3/4 of my steamed veggies and put them in a separate bowl to eat and saved the rest for dinner the following night. While this place might be a little more expensive than Panda, I think the higher quality of the chicken absolutely makes it worth it! I got here around 5pm on a Monday and I ordered right away and they had the food out in about 10 minutes. If I eat here again I'd probably ask for the sauce on the side so I could choose how much to put on it but I was thoroughly impressed and I enjoyed my meal a lot. And I was really glad I could sub out the white rice for steamed veggies. Next time I've got a craving for chicken teriyaki I'd definitely choose this spot over Panda. I guess I'll have to try their orange chicken next time to see how it measures up. But great tasting food and hefty portions, 5/5!

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience genuinely broke my heart…read more I finally decided to do something nice for myself. For the first time in I don't even know how long, I took myself out to dinner instead of ordering DoorDash from one of my favorite restaurants. I was excited. I was looking forward to sitting down, relaxing, and enjoying a meal. The hostess was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, kind, and attentive from the moment I walked in. Because the ramen menu doesn't list the ingredients, I specifically asked what was in it before ordering. I was told about the noodles, meat, egg, bamboo shoots, and green onions. Corn was never mentioned. When my ramen arrived, I stirred it and noticed corn throughout the bowl. I don't like corn, but I tried to make it work because I didn't want to be difficult. I tried it with the meat. I tried it with the egg. I tried just the broth. Everything tasted like corn, and I simply couldn't eat it. When the hostess came by, I explained what had happened. She looked genuinely upset for me and tried to help. She took it back, but came back to tell me the only option was to pick the corn out because they couldn't remake it. I explained that removing the corn wouldn't help because the broth itself tasted like corn. A manager came over and, after we looked at the menu together, acknowledged that corn wasn't listed. She refunded the ramen, which I appreciate but I really wanted the food, and that was the end of the conversation. By then I was sitting there trying not to cry. I know it may sound silly to some people, but this wasn't just about corn. I had finally done something for myself after a long time. I was so excited to enjoy a meal in one of my favorite restaurants, and instead I left feeling embarrassed, disappointed, and honestly heartbroken. I wasn't looking for free food. I wasn't trying to complain. I just hoped someone would say, "We're so sorry. Let's make you something you can actually enjoy." Instead, I paid for my salad, fighting back tears of embarrassment and sadness got in my car and drove home. The hostess showed genuine compassion, and I'll always remember how hard she tried to help. I only wish the same level of care had come from management. I truly hope the restaurant updates its menu to include all of the ingredients in its ramen and empowers its staff to remake a dish when a customer specifically asked about the ingredients before ordering. If I had an allergy, it would have been an extremely even more horrendous outcome. It would have turned a heartbreaking experience into one where I felt cared for. I wanted a comforting dinner. Instead, I went home in tears.
