    Curry Chicken ... sans curry?!?!
    Elc B.

Their curry chicken was horrible. I couldn't taste curry at all...it was more like a soupy, white glaze. Absolutely horrible! Missing former owner, this place has lost its inviting atmosphere and eliminated waiters?!?! So disappointed - not going back.

Best teriyaki in town! We moved to VA for 5 years and missed it so very much! Glad to be back. Food is delicious as always. Owners are great and friendly! They know almost everyone in town! Ambience is great. My go to is either tofu teriyaki or the chicken teriyaki and tonkatsu combo Absolutely love their miso soup and crab rolls as well.

FOOD; The food is amazing, always freshly made any time I come. I've had the teriyaki, orange chicken, and California roll. Most unique sauces I have had and can't find anywhere else with immaculate flavor! Good big portions too and fairly priced for small family business and portions. SERVICE; I see the same woman each time I come, and she always has a smile and warm welcome, even over the phone. Very kind workers. AMBIANCE/ATMOSPHERE; Quiet and calm environment and lighting with very unique decor and comfortable seating. The dine in feels intimate yet small and is perfect for introverts.

They recently went under new ownership and the food quality has went down tremendously. I will not be back.

It took them a few minutes to get going, but once they did, the service was really friendly and fast. Sean and I don't eat seafood or mushrooms, and they were actually really accommodating about it. They cooked our vegetables separately in the back so they wouldn't get mixed with the mushrooms, and kept the shrimp on the other side of the grill from our chicken so we didn't have to deal with the seafood flavors. I really appreciated that! My daughter got the fried rice and watching the chef make everything was so much fun. Our chef was really nice, entertaining and clearly knew what he was doing. We did tell them we didn't like shrimp, so they didn't do the whole throwing-shrimp-in-your-mouth thing with anyone at our table. I'll admit, that was a little disappointing because we watched them do it for other tables and it looked hilarious! I kind of wish they would've asked if we wanted the other people at our table to participate anyway. There was also a birthday celebration while we were there, and the staff came out with a cute little song and dance and a treat. The birthday girl looked so happy! Overall, we had a blast. The food was amazing, everyone was friendly, and it was just a really fun experience. We'll definitely be back, and next time I want to bring friends and do dinner. First hibachi experience = SUCCESS!

My mom is originally from Japan so she is very picky when it comes to Japanese food. She was so happy with everything we ordered, she wants to come back next time she visits. Everything was cooked perfectly and was so tasty! My mom is still raving about the katsu don! I can honestly say this is the best and most authentic Japanese restaurant in Kitsap County. My boyfriend and I were done with an event and were looking for a bite to eat pretty late-ish and we saw this place was still open. We got there around an hour before close. When we arrived, it took a little bit to get noticed and the waiter wasn't really the most friendly and was telling us we should order fast as the kitchen was doing a last call. He didn't even tell us how long we had so we just put our order in. We got the two yakitori trio combo (happy hour), takoyaki, scallop taco, beef udon, udon, and iced white peach green tea. We were getting our order fast but it was like one by one which was a bit disorientating. The food was pretty tasty. The iced tea was refreshing and definitely got good flavor. The tofu being cold in the udon was a bit off-putting as well. The yakitori, takoyaki and scallop tacos were absolutely delicious. My boyfriend loved the beef in his beef udon and looks forward to ordering their gyudon. I want to order the oyakodon for sure next time. Hopefully the service and experience will be better next time. Our waiter didn't really check in too much with us but he did refill our water once. The inside is gorgeous and definitely has date night vibes. It is dim-lit but enough lighting to get some pictures. They have tables with different types of seating available for party sizes. They have sauces and spices to put on your yakitori that pair very well.
