I just came from this place. I was shopping at Trader Joes and was HUNGRY...Saw it and figured why not. I got miso soup (of course), Spicy Yellow Dragon Roll, & Vanilla Tempura Ice Cream. The Miso soup was OK at best. I really enjoyed the Spicy Yellow Dragon Roll. It made my nose run a little lol. I sat at the sushi bar watching all the other rolls get made. Next I plan to try the Veronica roll. That LOOKED so good. I enjoyed their Ice cream tempura. The batter was not super thick it was just right, perfect even. The place itself was nice and clean, good place for a small group of people to mingle. Even though I plan to go here again I won't be ordering the Miso soup.. I prefer mine with a little stronger flavor of that miso taste. This just seemed like water and tofu with a little flavoring. This place is worth checking out I'm sure you won't be disappointed. This place is absolutely wonderful!!! I grew up in a family of sushi lovers and with that being said my dad always refused to eat anything but the best. Because of this I know the difference between fresh, good quality sushi and vice versa. I LOVE Sushi Ko! It's our go to place whenever we want delicious takeout or a nice sit down. The hostess is always so sweet when we walk in and remembers us every time we come in. The sushi is always fresh and tasty - I've never had a bad experience here. Atmosphere is cool and comfortable - better for smaller parties (anywhere between 2-6 people) as the restaurant is on the smaller side. The spicy scallop roll and the tuna tataki appetizer are my personal favorites. Would highly recommend if you're looking for awesome sushi and great service. read more

Always get either the spicy tuna roll, the spider roll, the triple spicy roll, or the spicy salmon roll (personal fave: the spider roll) very cozy ambient, EXCELLENT service every time their service is great! The sushi here is fine. It tasted fresh. I didn't give 4 stars because they messed up on one of my rolls and it took way too long for them to replace. We were the only ones in there. Yes, they may have take out orders but priority should be customers in the restaurant. read more

Top quality fish. Larger variety of low carb/no rice options than anywhere I've seen and you won't feel like you're missing anything. Also any roll can be made with black rice instead (more nutritious than brown or white and has a hardier flavor. If you haven't tried it yet it's a must). Imaginative dishes that are successful, delicious. Very nice about if need an ingredient omitted/substituted. The owner and his wife as well as the entire staff are super friendly and helpful. We've been to Sushi Ko a few times now. It is a pleasant place and the owners are trying to make you feel welcome - when they notice you. The sushi is quite fresh and elegant. The cooked dishes are more hit or miss. But tried to sample most dishes on the menu and overall were satisfied - although, I would not try some of the cooked dishes again. But the issue for the owners to work on is mediocre service. Three waiters tend to move around as a group. When they service you, they all are there. But once they move on to the other side of the restaurant, good luck getting their attention. We had to remind every time about the warm towels (which are disposable, not cloth), beg for water and hot tea, and try to catch their eye to get a check. There are a number of good sushi places in the area and the only difference at some point is the service. I think I will take a break from Sushi Ko for a while and wait for them to train their staff. I'll try again in a month... read more
