House salad and miso plus house sake

Great sushi - love all the lunch options. Very well priced especially for the Yorkville area. I would highly suggest this restaurant for lunch or dinner. It does get crowded as it's so good and the prices are moderate. Fresh sushi - great house sake and fast service.

This is a pretty good affordable spot in the heart of luxurious Yorkville neighborhood. We went with bento boxes. It is good value for the money and the food was delicious.

Silver Sushi (14.50) Salmon, tuna, kani, shrimp sushi Cucumber roll Salmon roll Salmon cucumber hand roll Great portion, big pieces, good quality sushi. The salmon was fatty, the sushi overall was high quality (both fish and rice) Even the red tuna was good and had a neutral taste!

Cannot speak for their sushi rolls, as this is my favourite place to go for when I am craving a bento box. For such a filling meal in Yorkville, the prices are good, the restaurant is cozy and always bustling, and the quality has never disappointed over the past 4 years I have visited it. Staff is low profile but always curteous

Run of the mill sushi. Sushi is fresh which is good. Service is ok and they are slammed at lunch. Prices are fair for the area. Considering most of the other restaurants in the area tend to be fancier. Safe choice for the area.

Came here randomly by myself for takeout after an appointment I had nearby. It's a cozy little restaurant with a decent amount of seating and dim lighting. I wasn't greeted upon entering the restaurant but in all honesty based on my past experiences with eating at sushi restaurants, their customer service level isn't usually very high. Anyway, when I finally made eye contact with one of the waiters, I told him that I wanted takeout and he pointed to a stack of menus and walked away. After placing my order I probably waited up to 5 minutes max (SAY WHATTTT ). I'm used to waiting a million years to receive my sushi so that was definitely a plus for me. Note that this place is a tad bit pricey in compassion to other sushi bars I typically go to but that's also something I expected due to the area its located in. Anyway, I went with the #66 Silver Bento Box which included 3 pc cucumber roll and 3 pc salmon roll (as I don't eat raw fish I opted to substitute the salmon for all cucumber, which the waiter said was fine), vegetable tempura, deep fried tofu and steamed right with teriyaki chicken on top. This food was the NASTIEST TASTING FOOD I'VE EVER HAD! The tofu had absolutely no seasoning on it and literally tasted like a blob of unflavoured gelatin, the tempura was soggy and lukewarm (borderline cold), the sushi was super tasteless, and don't even get me started with the tasteless chicken and overly thick teriyaki sauce . I also got this soup looking thing (I've attached a picture to this review) and I have no clue what it is. It only filled about 1/8 of the container it was in and was tasteless as well. I take back being impressed by the 5 minute wait. I'd rather wait 30 minutes and get my money's worth and a happy belly rather than waiting 5 minutes and get the shittiest tasteless food known to humankind. No I don't recommend this place. No I won't be back. No I wouldn't eat this food again even if you paid me to do it. No I wouldn't eat here if it were the last food on earth. No I wouldn't recommend. I think everyone gets where I'm going lol. This place is a big fat NO-NO!

Sushi Inn combo and Combo with 3 rolls

The sushi is mediocre quality. Its decently priced and a good spot near work if you're craving sushi. The sushi inn combo comes with a lot of food - teriyaki chicken, dumplings, tempura shrimp and veggies, rice, salad, miso soup, 3 salmon rolls and 3 cucumber rolls. The food is average, the best thing I'm the box is the dumplings and the tempura.

The "Sushi Inn Special", bento box with chicken teriyaki, salad, assortment of tempura (shrimp, crab, veggie), a spring roll, and dumplings.

We got the california roll, avocado roll, and veggie tempura. Came out quickly and was good!

Decent sushi. Slightly too cold rice and sashimi. Friendly staff. Other sushi places in this neighborhood are way overpriced.

Decent sushi if you want something quick. Quality is not the best & the service is not great. However, worth a visit to try.

There were three add-ons (toro with caviar $25, uni with caviar $35, and caviar sushi). I opted in for the toro and uni add-ons. It was strange they give you the add-ons before any other nigiri. Everything was very good and fresh. Standouts for me was the appetizer, all three cuts of bluefin tuna, the lobster (by far my favorite), and the hotaru ika. I would've appreciated knowing that the omakase included or not included toro and uni before I decided on the add-ons but I don't regret it. It was a splurge night after all. Service was very attentive. Note that the dining space is very small. 12 seats around the counter and two tables. There was a very loud gentleman two seats from me who never learned to use his inside voice and totally ruined vibe. But that's not on the staff. Another note is that gratuity is automatic on the bill.

The space itself leans more modern and clean rather than the typical dark, cozy izakaya vibe, which I actually didn't mind. It felt comfortable, not too loud, and easy to settle into for a slow dinner. We ordered a mix of small plates to share, and everything came out looking nicely put together. The aburi-style salmon sushi was one of the highlights for me.. lightly seared, with a soft texture and just enough flavor on top without being overwhelming. The tuna tataki was also fresh and clean, simple but well done. Some of the fried dishes leaned a bit richer with the creamy sauces, but they were still enjoyable, especially if you're in the mood for something a little more indulgent. The beef fried rice was straightforward but satisfying, one of those dishes that's easy to keep going back to between everything else. Drinks were a nice touch too.. refreshing, nicely presented, and added to the overall experience. Overall, this feels like a solid spot for a casual night out with friends.
