    Salmon poke bowl

Love my go to local sushi spot. Delivery is fast and always friendly. Their ginger dressing is different and delicious also I definitely recommend their spicy rolls my favorite is the spicy salmon. They even have some Thai dishes!! It's tucked away next to max's halal and subway and I think they only do take out or delivery these days but I definitely recommend trying this spot out for a lunch special bento box or poke bowl!

Used to be my go to place, but after today it's time to find a new spot. Ordered a lite dinner and got a choice of 3 veggies with tofu. I picked mushroom, asparagus and bean sprouts. After I placed the order, they called to tell me they were out of bean sprouts. Okay fine, disappointing because that was one of the whole reasons I ordered it. So I asked for snow peas instead. Out of those too. I was offered broccoli, carrots, zucchini or eggplant. I chose carrots because I really don't love the others. Order shows up and it's half broccoli. There was about 7 mushroom halves in there, and 1 asparagus spear cut up. The tofu was bland and barely cooked. You could have told me they just threw it in a steamer and then the container and that would sound accurate. Then my cold crab salad was packed on top of my hot veggies, so I had a warm crab, cucumber and mayo salad. If you're going to be out of most of the veggies I want, don't cheap out and pack my order with broccoli after I specifically said I didn't want it. Update: just found a large piece of cardboard on my rice. Awesome.

We love Sushi express, the food was amazing and service was excellent! That very friendly , one of my favorite restaurants in North Babylon!

    Chicken donburi

Ordered the chicken donburi for delivery and it was just a soupy mess. It was basically souped sauce with rice. Donburi is suppose to be a egg omelet over rice with meat and veggie in it with a HINT of sauce over it. Complete garbage. I would hate to try their raw food if this is how they treat their cooked food.

Very tender and fresh - salmon roll and spicy yellow roll. Added unagi sushi (good) and mackarel sushi (so-so).

Good food for the price...a bit cheaper than others in the same quality/price point. More like 3.5 stars for the food but upgraded due to reliability, affordability and that its nearby! Ordered delivery which was on time. Over the years have tried both their sushi and cooked entrees. Both are good, not the best, but at the same time above average joint. They also give you cashback if you check them out on Groupon.

Scorpion roll, from the daily special board menu. As great to eat as it was to behold!

I've ordered from here many times over the years since I moved to North Babylon. Sushi Express has never disappointed, not once! It's always fresh and eminently satisfying, whether it's for dine-in or takeout. A few years after I discovered the place they expanded their menu to include some Thai menu options. Particular favorites are the Godzilla roll, Sweet Hot roll, Tuna Amazing roll and Helter Skelter roll. Don't forget to take a look at their daily specials board - the Scorpion roll was a true work of culinary art, and tasted great (see my pic)! If you're nearby, stop in for a roll, an entree, or some Thai - you'll be glad you did!

I placed an online order there before closing. The place was disgusting on the inside so dirty. I bring my ramen home and all my onions have mold on it. This place needs health inspector.

This small cozy restaurant offers a unique Japanese dining experience you cannot find around Long Island that is both affordable and delicious. First off: lots of options on the menu, ranging from specialty rolls to fried tempura, sashimi sushi, bento combination boxes. They usually offer your meal with rice, miso soup and a salad, which to me is considered a well rounded meal. I got the vegetable tempura meal with all of the above for less than $10. I also ordered a melon flavored Japanese ramune soda (those symbolic glass bottles that you need to pop the marble in order to drink it). Excellent experience to have if you have never popped open a soda like that before. There are two large flat screen tv monitors, and it was playing Kung fu panda during dinner. I really enjoyed the entire atmosphere as well as the deliciously made food. If anything I would suggest making the restaurant bigger so more people can come and enjoy this place. They also have delivery service so you can have an amazing meal delivered (if you live close by)

This is their wasabi for sushi. This place is a big no! My husbands beef pad Thai was awful too.

This place is no good. The food is beyond terrible. I feel robbed of my money and my Sunday night dinner.

All rolls accounted for, packed tightly and decent amount of veggies and fish in each! Thanks fancy Lee's .

Hi fellow Yelpers! It's been a minute since I have done the review thing on here, and I'm actually…read moreshocked and dismayed (dramatic, I know), that I NEVER wrote a glowing review for my favorite restaurant ever -- Kotobuki, which is nestled in the heart of Babylon Village. (I'm pretty sure my profile photo is me at Kotobuki, FYI.) I was recently there celebrating an anniversary dinner, and there was no time like the present to eat half my body weight in super delicious sushi. I can gush about this place over and over, and throughout the years, I have sampled so much of what Kotobuki does best on Long Island -- fresh sashimi, delectable nigiri, and beloved sushi rolls. (This place definitely has lots of history for me, so it's a nostalgic spot as well!) We started out with an appetizer of the most incredible spicy tuna crispy rice (the best version of this I've had), and then we gorged on the sushi platter for 2. Think smooth sashimi, silky nigiri, special rolls, and little decadent touches that come with this platter, too, like the salmon carpaccio, kani salad, and my personal FAVE, the fried oysters in this garlic butter miso broth. (I need this oyster broth daily.) There's a reason why Kotobuki is always a go-to for special occasions, or even nights out when we order small from the sushi bar (their toro is a dream) and simply want the best Japanese cuisine on Long Island.

Consistently top notch. I have literally never had a bad meal there. My go-tos if I'm not having sushi are usually chicken chow mein or pad Thai, or steamed shrimp with vegetables. They do all the Chinese classics and their pineapple fried rice is amazing! For lunch, the lunchbox is just enough food at a great price! It's perfect if we want sushi appetizers and then a Chinese main course, or if some of us want sushi. We have also been there for hibachi and it's always a fantastic experience. We've seen the spot renovated a few times - fresh paint and seat covers. The current maroon walls are very classy and give a quiet ambiance to the room. It almost seems odd to have televisions on -- without them the restaurant would seem fancier. Still the prices are affordable, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner.

54 minutes ago New…read more Started going here 25 years ago it used to be goo. Not anymore. Had such a bad experience there, I went to do a review. Guess what? I did a review of their horrible service 3 years ago. Some things dont change. So I deleted that so I could vent once again. (Only 1 review per person apparently) I purchased a 20 dollar lomein to go this warm evening. while I was waiting for it, the never smiling lady, Joanne, was at the front wait area. I asked her for a glass of water while I waited. She said you need to pay. I chuckled, she did not. I said, no not a bottle, from the gun as i pointed to the water soda gun. She said yes I know you need to pay! THIS PLACE SUCKS. She then said next time you pay and handed me a glass 1/3 filled with no ice. Mind you, it is all right in front of her, glasses ice soda and beer. I said no thanks, keep it. I got my overpriced greasy lomein and went home. I paid 7 dollars for extra beef because mushroom is historically miserly with protein.. It had 9, 1/8 inch by 1.5 inch pieces of beef in it. The noodle were mushy and it was loaded with grease. I only go there because they are the only local place open after 9. Go to Hong Kong chinese food in the same parking lot for takeout. Their pieces of protein are mush larger and you do not need to order extra, but they close at 9 Hong Kong is also 50% less than Mushroom and they smile. Mushroom is supposed to be the upscale place. Gag me. Picture below is entire order of beef lomein with extra beef 54 minutes ago
