I really enjoyed this place. We dined in on a Saturday about 530. There was no wait and were immediately seated. The decor is very pretty. They have many sushi options and they are served 8pieces a roll so you're not too full! We also go the hibachi which oddly didn't come with vegetables but the noodles and protein were great. The sushi was fresh! I truly enjoyed it and will be back.

They were greedy and tried to sneak in a 20% tip when they already forced an 18%. They lost long time customers. We will never go back. Just bc we're a 2 parent family with 4 kids we were charged an extra 30 dollars and the waitress said it was cause she's paid 2 dollars an hour. After I said that's ridiculous. So forget this place and everyone I turned on to this place will be told not to go back there.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. PERIOD. First of all, the spicy Kani hand rolls are stuffed. They don't just dump some Kani on the top then put a bunch of rice in it. It's literally a bunch of crab cascading down the hand roll. Made to order! My fave place for sushi in Chattanooga

We LOVE Sushi City. It's a Sunday tradition to get their lunch special. Great prices, great food, great service!!

    House salad with ginger dressing

We decided to give this place a try today because we really love sushi. The sushi we tried was really the only redeeming thing about our experience. We were sat right next to speakers that were blaring rap music. Someone eventually turned it down but the music selection stayed the same. I enjoy listening to rap music sometimes but I'm confused about why restaurant owners don't seem to understand ambiance. The servers in the restaurant kind of seemed to have an apathetic attitude. The particular server we had was nice. We ordered a house salad, spicy tuna roll, yellowtail roll, and shrimp tempura roll. After ordering the house salad, the server quickly returned to tell us that it would not be served as described. Not sure what that meant. We enjoyed the first half of the salad but were disappointed to find sitting water in the bottom of our bowl. The spicy tuna roll was one of the best spicy tuna rolls I've ever had. The yellowtail roll was delicious! The shrimp tempura roll was also so tasty. I'm not sure if we will go back but if we do we will definitely order another spicy tuna roll!

    Rainbow roll and fantastic roll

Service was underwhelming. The sushi was very unpleasant. It almost tasted like the meat was frozen we only ordered 3 rolls and couldn't finish them because we lost our appetite.

It is within walking distance from class and I hadn't been before but was saved in Yelp as one of my "want to try" restaurants. First off, the warm greeting was so nice as we were the first customers of the day (a few minutes before opening). We were seated promptly and the server was quick to check in with us. I had read about the ambiance before hand and was very intrigued to see if it would be too "dark" to see with my older eyes but it was actually perfect and I enjoyed the red light, intimate feel. We decided to split the chicken curry ramen and edamame, fries and she also got a single slider. Let me tell you, nothing short of yummy perfection. THOSE FRIES, the flavors of the curry, alllllllll the things. Excellent find and kudos to the daughter for the recommendation.

The noodles were SO good, and the broth was really tasty. Plus, the portions were generous, so you definitely get a lot of food. The ambiance was adorable too. I sat in the back area, and it was such a vibe! Customer service was also incredible. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Between the food, atmosphere, and service, I really enjoyed this place and would definitely come back!

This place is a little off the beaten path, but the reviews looked promising, so we decided a small sushi road trip was in order. I walked in expecting the usual sushi restaurant vibe. Instead I was greeted by a television so large it could probably pick up signals from space. When I say massive, I mean it takes up an entire wall. Nothing pairs with delicate nigiri quite like a television the size of a drive-in movie screen. The all you can eat menu is a little limited when it comes to rolls, which was a bit surprising. But the nigiri selection was actually pretty strong and, more importantly, surprisingly fresh. Plenty of options and the fish held up well over multiple rounds. The cooked items were also plentiful, which helps if someone in your group is not fully committed to the raw fish lifestyle. Overall, I enjoyed the food. The service, however, moved at a pace that felt very... deliberate. Very, very slow. Slow enough that you start wondering if the rice is being strategically deployed to fill you up before your next order arrives. Still, the food was good and the experience enjoyable enough to land at a slightly above average four stars. Tip: come with extra time and patience. Settle in, watch a good sporting event on that enormous TV, and pack away some pretty solid sushi. Four stars. A little off the beaten path, a little slow on the service, but good sushi and possibly the biggest TV you will ever see in a sushi restaurant.

Sushi Nabe was a very pleasant surprise…read more I ordered the Super Paitan Ramen, the Crazy Roll, and the vegetable gyoza. The ramen was excellent. The broth was rich, deeply flavored, and had the kind of body you hope for in a good paitan. The chashu was outstanding--tender, flavorful, and generous--and the bowl included thoughtful touches like shishito peppers that complemented the richness rather than competing with it. The Crazy Roll was another surprise. Too many American specialty rolls rely on cream cheese and heavy sauces. This one was balanced, with tamago adding sweetness and texture without overwhelming the other ingredients. It was creative without being overdone. The vegetable gyoza were clearly handmade and exceptional. What impressed me most wasn't any single dish--it was the consistency. Every component felt intentional. You get the sense that someone in the kitchen genuinely cares about the food they're serving. This isn't a flashy or trendy place. It's a comfortable neighborhood Japanese restaurant that quietly delivers thoughtful, well-executed food. I'll definitely be back.
