I've never had an issue with service either. Some recommendations: give the chef salad and the Steve Roll. This place is very convenient, and the food is generally good. However, the to-go service has really gone downhill. We ordered 20 minutes before we went to pick up, then waited another 25 minutes. I have been dying to try this new addition to the neighborhood, but my fiancé was a little hesitant as we couldn't find anything online about it and we are pretty partial to Sushi Gen. To my excitement I had a great experience!! Staff was very friendly and attentive. Everything I ate was fresh, delicious, and very filling! My rolls came apart a little while eating (mostly the Salmon Avocado) but truly it was because they were so packed with ingredients the seaweed could not hold up. I will take that over a less full roll any day. We will certainly be back for more. read more

The food is very good! The servers are nice, but tend to stay way from your table. Which would be good for privacy but not so much when you need something. It's a very beautiful restaurant, pretty music, perfect amount of lighting. My only complaint is extremely slow service, sushi is typically one of the quickest meals, and to wait hours is disappointing. There were only two other tables. The price is great for what they offer. I think it's perfect for the amount of food and flavor you get. It's 100% a get what you pay for restaurant. The cheaper meals are smaller and/or a little more bland. The higher priced meals are more flavorful and coke with more pieces. :) Overall, a decent experience. Nice little spot but they don't serve much in terms of actual sushi. You will see tons of "crab sticks" and California type rolls but not a lot of fresh sushi at all. Our meal tasted good but I knew in my heart I'd see it again because of the sushi-ish mixture of products, and did via vomiting everything up about an hour later. Had mixed feelings about Sushi Bistro. Food was ok. My oldest liked his rainbow roll. But my youngest wasn't pleased with the shrimp fried rice. I tried it and it was super bland. I had the sushi deluxe which was priced pretty high but went with it anyway cause that's my go to in sushi places. And it was good but I watched the sushi chef walk around the restaurant, (during and after my kids sushi order came out), sent out multiple orders to walk in to-go's, and only after I asked if it was still being prepared that I watch him START my order. So was a little hacked about that. Waiter, which was his second day was super nice but forgot a water order and took pretty long on everything else. Will give them another shot because they were all very friendly so maybe just an off night. Food was still good, would've liked a little more salmon on the roll but it wasn't far off. I think this is a pretty new restaurant there in Shreveport and I don't quite think they got there service legs under em yet. Hope they do! They have a great location! Just watching everything going on with staff and the kitchen, as we were seated right beside it looked discombobulated... if ya know what I mean. Still giving them another shot. Love the food and customer service. The owner is very friendly, the first time I visited she made conversation with me and my spouse. She remembers most of her customers, which I think is very sweet. The food here is great and reminds me of the food I ate growing up. The portions here are just right! If you stop by here for lunch, I recommend getting the shrimp tempura bento box set; it comes with 2 pieces of shrimp tempura, some tempura veggies, a California roll, pork dumplings, rice, and two orange slices. It also comes with soup or salad. The shrimp tempura is cooked to perfection. The salmon and avocado roll just melts in your mouth as well, and the miso soup definitely hits the spot after a great meal! I'd eat here every day if I could read more
