This is my second tome to eat here. I ordered the Chirashi dish, raw fish over rice, the fish was very fresh. Presentation was excellent. Service was good restaurant was very clean. I would recommend this place to my friends.

I had to let this one sink in. Firstly and per usual, this review is for the sushi/service only. I have had plenty of Lin's kitchen Chinese fare and it was always fine. I've been here twice, once for my birthday (which was a huge deal for me to try something new on the one day I absolutely wanted sushi lol) and once again for lunch. Location is nicely decorated and comfortable, albeit still rather small. The service is great, if only anything to point out, at least on my first visit, was a bit intrusive and pushy. I enjoy the up-selling but seemed every time I had my mouth full was being asked if I wanted another roll. Sushi - This is a tough one. While presentation is beautiful on special rolls (Original visit I ordered rolls 1 at a time) on regular rolls it is lacking and hastily prepared. My lunch visit things were thrown together almost. The flavor unfortunately doesn't shine here. It's not distasteful by any means, just simply not much of a bang, rolls can be very bland, sauces are OK, ingredient combinations don't mesh well or in the case of the eel, simply prepared incorrectly. Eel very soft/slimy, slight distaste. While boasting some fresher ingredients, and I hate to classify it as such, you can absolutely tell it is from a combo Chinese/Japanese food establishment. Sitting at the bar on my second visit for lunch, and this is clearly evident with the ingredients held within the cold case at bar. I used to live down the street, and imagine if I still did, would likely frequent them out of convenience simply to get a sushi fix, now it's a tad out of the way for something that barely sates the appetite. Overall, Ichigo is a fine addition due to its variety and atmosphere, just not one that I would seek if looking the be all end all sushi.

Don't get the seaweed salad. I've never had it come like this, on top of a regular salad? Sushi is good though, this was just very upsetting.

The sushi was fresh the rolls were kind of small the prices were averagely priced for sushi it wasn't busy and it took 25 minutes to get my order

My first experience was over a year ago and I ordered to go food from Lins Kitchen and unfortunately just wasn't a fan of the orange chicken.

For folks not wanting ramen explicitly, they offer katsu curry and build-your-own poke bowls. Drinks are normal fountain fare- coke products, water, lemonade. There is no sweet or iced tea as normal drink orders, but they do offer tea in the form of a separate boba tea offering you can purchase with a meal. I have no gripes- the food is good and fresh, the service is decent, the atmosphere is clean. Price is slightly high for the area, but the portion sizes justify the cost, I never leave hungry. Bring a jacket if you run cold, this restaurant is nice and chilly! Short version: If you're looking for good ramen and flavorful staples and willing to pay for a good meal, the experience is worth the price with no major caveats.

My party and I had a wonderful experience at Chen's Garden in Shreveport. We started with the crab…read morerangoons, which were fried perfectly with a rich, flavorful crab filling. We also tried the soft-shell crab--it was beautifully presented and tasted incredibly fresh. One guest ordered the seafood combination dinner and said everything was well-cooked, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The fried rice that came with the seafood dinner was cooked very nicely with egg and great texture. Another had the orange chicken, and although there were several chili peppers in the sauce, it wasn't too spicy--just right. The orange flavor really came through, and everything was fried crisp, not soggy. I ordered the Dragon and Phoenix dinner (General Tso's chicken and shrimp with onion and ginger slices), and it was hands down the best General Tso's I've ever had. The shrimp were beautifully cooked, and I opted for lo mein instead of rice--it was fresh, lightly sauced, and not oily at all. This is not a buffet, and honestly, it felt like stepping back 40 years to when Chinese restaurants were more intimate, authentic, and personal. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the time from ordering to receiving our food was impressively quick. I highly recommend this hidden gem. They also offer sushi and a variety of lunch specials (we visited outside of lunch hours), and everything looked so good that I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

I would skip the sashimi; it was of mediocre quality. However, considering it's Shreveport and this is a Chinese restaurant, that is to be expected. The California Roll in the combo was delicious and well-made.

It's a shame because the establishment is great and the ambiance is reminiscent of upscale Japanese dining. Service was very slow at first. It took 25 minutes to get our soups and salads and an additional 10 to get our sushi rolls. I ordered two hand rolls, when they got to my table they were in the shape of cigars, more like uncut rolls than hand rolls. Our server seemed to be in a disagreement with the host and kept disappearing for extended periods of time. Our cook was something else. After my son told him it was my birthday, he seemed to do things to intentionally make the experience miserable. He started by pouring Yum Yum sauce on the noodles while they were on the grill, much to the disgust of mine as well as other parties at the table. As he served food, he gave extras to everyone but me and kept saying things like "birthday girl, how do you like that?" It's fine, I want food that I paid for and wasn't expecting extra, it just seemed sort of odd. He proceeded to undercook my scallops and overcook my filet. When I asked for extra Yum Yum dip, he slid a greasy bottle from his cart over to me. The party next to us looked at him and said "Are you serious?" It sucks that I drove 30 minutes and picked this place because of the high praise it had received on here. Will not be returning.
