She was nice, but quick to the point. I needed a few minutes, but ordered a water in the meantime. I decided to go with the lunch special with a ginger salad. Almost immediately following my order, the salad came out. It was great, cold, and crisp. They loaded on the ginger dressing, which I was happy about. I ordered a few rolls and they came out shortly after. The place was quiet so it was nice to get able to get some work done there. I got the bill and the price was super reasonable. Will be back if I'm in the area again.

I rolled the dice on their $9.95 lunch special -- two rolls and soup or salad. Naturally, I chose the spicy tuna and shrimp tempura rolls with onion soup, because balance. Now, let's talk value. For under ten bucks, you get sushi, soup, and a moment of peace -- that's already a win in this economy. The flavor was solid, ingredients were fresh, but the rolls themselves were a bit on the fun-sized side. A little more rice wouldn't hurt -- not asking for sumo rolls, just something more substantial than a sushi suggestion. Service was quick, friendly, and didn't involve anyone saying "we're out of that," which in itself is a minor miracle these days. Bottom line: Aki Sushi won't blow your mind, but it won't break your wallet either. Great for a quick fix when you're craving sushi and a break from adulting.

My wife and I went back to Akita Sushi at lunch time on a Friday. The place was busy but the…read moreattentive and friendly server was staying on top of things. There must've been 7-8 tables occupied while we were eating lunch but service was efficient. My wife, always eager to try new things, ordered the Tofu Teriyaki bento with fried gyoza instead of shrimp shumai (shellfish allergies). She also ordered an Alaska roll. I opted for the Hibachi Combo of steak and shrimp. I also ordered a Spicy Tuna roll. Upon tasting the tofu teriyaki, my wife's eyes got big and said OMG! She was wowed by the flavors! She thinks, for that dish alone, Akita deserves 5 stars! So here I am updating my review. Perhaps my wife will keep on ordering this dish for our future visits.

While the rest of the family was out of town, my son and I were on our own for dinner and decided…read moreto try this spot after he'd been craving sushi. We've been searching for a place that consistently delivers quality, and unfortunately, this wasn't it. I ordered my usual volcano roll along with another house roll, while my son chose two different house rolls. The restaurant being a bit busy gave me some hope, but that didn't translate to the food. The volcano roll was a letdown from the first bite. The second roll was slightly better, but still nothing I'd go back for. My son enjoyed his meal, though his standards are a bit more forgiving than mine. One noticeable issue was the rice--there was so little of it that the nori was visible through the roll. Rice is the most basic and cost-effective ingredient, and skimping on it made the rolls feel lacking in both substance and balance. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the food. The presentation was solid, but that alone isn't enough to carry the experience. Service and ambiance were decent, but not standout. 2 out of 5 stars. TTFN

Having been open for about 3 months, my wife saw one of those Facebook ads/videos and thought we should check it out. I love sushi BUT All You Can Eat (AYCE) joints give me pause. There seems to be a wide variance with quality and value. Upon walking in, the first thing we noticed was how bright and spacious this place is. We were seated promptly and perused the menu. We decided to pace ourselves instead of ordering everything all at once. We started out with some vegetable tempura, spicy tuna roll, two pieces of gyoza, edamame and some nigiri (two pieces each of unagi, tuna and shrimp and one inari). All of them were quite good with the unagi standing out. Our next orders were for Ocala roll and Spicy Grill roll. Both good. I ordered a couple more unagi then an order of Dancing Eel Roll (very good) for me and Sweet Potato roll for my wife. We had to throw in the towel after that...but our very capable server, Tommy, convinced us to have some ice cream as a palette cleanser. We were both very satisfied with our visit to Sushi Feast. We were there for over an hour! Fresh and tasty sushi, great service, bright and clean space, and good value! We will surely be back. Lunch for 2 came out to just over $51 with tip.

We were not able to get water from the fountain and had to order bottled water. When the salad was delivered in a to-go container it had a small bit of lettuce an one cucumber slice, and a small bit of carrot. The miso soup was broth with a very small bit of miso served in a to-go container. The meal came to the table after a bit of a wait (the to-go orders came first). Most of the food was only luke warm. I will say that the chicken did taste good but that is the only good thing I can say about this experience. Sorry we will not be back.

I tried several other places in Ocala/The Villages area and nothing competes with this cute little restaurant nearby publix. It's not a super fancy place but the food delivers, and that matters more than anything else. The bubble teas here are not half bad either. This time, we also tried the Takoyaki and it was on point, tender and juicy on the inside! The broth of the black garlic tonkotsu is well worth the price of this dish. It's hearty and flavorful. My only setback, as a person that cooks this dish at home as well as orders it whenever possible, is that the Chashu, this time around was a little on the drier side and the cut is also on the thinner side. However, getting a Chashu to that right tender texture is really not easy to do, and since it was very tender on the first time we went to eat here, I don't fault it that much. Other than that the ramen is absolutely to die for. The host/waitress was also very cute and kept checking on us to see if we are satisfied or need anything else.
