I enjoyed the food I tried at Sushi & Co, but they were not the most remarkable dishes I've ever had. The main appeal about this spot is its convenience. A lot of my co-workers would take out sushi boxes for lunch. I liked the "Make Your Own Sushi Box" option: you can choose between various types of rolls, and it comes with a salad. The rolls themselves are standard. I also tried the marinated beef udon, which was delicious and a reasonable price. The interior of the store is unremarkable and simple. We ordered both chicken and shrimp tempura udon soups, non of which I've ever tried. The broth was SO flavorful and I appreciate the pickled radish and spices alongside it. The chicken was well cooked and very flavorful! Their food presentation was so neat and very picture worthy. Only con for the shrimp tempura was how thin the fish was, most of it being batter. I'd also wish the fish was served aside as it did become very soggy being served in the soup itself. The environment was clean and very spacious with nice lighting too. The decor is very cute, too. Second, the service is great. On Tuesday, my 1st lunch pickup, it was packed and the lady apologized for the delay when she handed me the order. This is a fast casual spot. The lady behind the counter taking your order also serves and buses tables. I ordered the udon with marinated beef bowl. They make the soup in house. The bowl took a little bit longer to make, but it came out piping hot. The beef was very tasty and not dry at all. Found my new lunch spot! Fresh sushi with a variety of made to order boxed meals or order a custom omakase Box. That's exactly what my friend and I did. I must've oogled everything and finally decided on a lunch set that included a spicy tuna roll, regular tuna roll and some sushi pieces. My friend got the omakase set, you can choose eight pieces of sushi you like. It's packed fresh on the spot based on your custom order. Some of the meals come with miso soup and/or a salad. Different price points based on your budget so definitely lots to choose from. There is some seating, only for single or two seaters. It's a small space but very efficient as far as placement of everything and the seating. There's tables and high tops but narrow. I'll definitely return to try more stuff. I've passed Sushi & Co countless times as it's close to my office in Midtown, but never tried it before the other day. I have my rotation of go-to lunch spots, but for one reason or another I never added this place to my list. That all changed the other day - I had a hankering for sushi so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to check this place out. Like many Manhattan quick service eateries, Sushi & Co is small with only enough room for a few tables to sit and some standing room to wait for your order. Walking in, you're greeted by the production area with the ordering counter towards the back. The aesthetics are bright and modern - light wood tones and a lot of clean lines. Sushi is the star of the menu - they have a good selection of standard rolls as well as specialty ones. Additionally, they have a few non-sushi selections such as dumplings and rice bowls. One of their main menu features are build-you-own bento boxes, where you can mix and match sushi and sashimi and pair it with sides. I was feeling adventurous and decided to go with one of the boxes - I chose four rolls: shrimp tempura, California, spicy tuna, and salmon avo. Additionally, I got to choose a side so I went with a mixed green salad. It was all presented in an aesthetically pleasing way inside the box, it (almost) looked too pretty to eat. The sushi was tasty - the ingredients were fresh and high quality. I was a little intimidated by having four rolls and didn't think I could finish the box, but each roll isn't a full quantity - I would day in terms of pieces of sushi, its the equivalent of two rolls. The salad in the middle was a good complement. Service was fast and friendly, they looked a little short staffed as they only had one person who had to run between taking orders and managing the pickup area - he did a good job though. Overall, I enjoyed my first experience at Sushi & Co - it's not cheap so it may not be the best lunch option for everyone (including me), but for an occasional visit when I'm in the mood for sushi I would have no qualms returning. read more

There is no table service, although there are a few small tables you can use and a counter-height table with stools. The staff is very friendly and greet you if they notice it is your first time there. Ordering takes a bit of skill as there are many options. There is also a grab-and-go refrigerator. Everything seems very fresh and they have a black rice sushi option. There is an "Order Here" station where you order and pay. The "Pick-Up Here" station is closer to the entrance. They have a lunch special of three mini rolls I might check out next time. I got the 4 roll box for lunch. It's not a cheap lunch. You may have to wait 10 minutes for a box option as they don't fit in the grab-and-go and have to be made upon request. There is an option to tip when you check out. True NYC tourist here and will be every time I visit I love this city. Back to it, the sushi here is amazing and priced so well. This is a tiny little shop tucked on a corner. they have about 6 tables to dine at. We wanted someplace close to our hotel and that had good reviews, this landed us at Sushi & Co. The outside of the restaurant is beautiful. It stands out among the other buildings. The staff was really friendly and the food was good! I ordered the sushi dumpling set. It came with a decent amount of food for the price. It was a sushi roll, air fried dumplings, and a bowl of miso soup. The bowl of miso was a good size too! We also ordered one of the rice bowls. The food was all really good. We were impressed with the flavor and quality. The pricing isn't too much higher than what you would find in other places. Came across this sushi place and wanted to try it. Look at their menu, their price is NOT cheap at all. Expensive place. I order the Premium Roll box, and the name said premium, you though it will comes with the premium roll. NOPE. It said choice of 2 rolls, but only 'over the rainbow' is no additional charge, the rest of the roll is additional $1, $2, $3 or $4. How can you have a premium box and I still have to pay extra for the roll. They also charge extra for different salad. Basically this premium box is just 2 rolls with a salad. The premium Roll box is $29.95, Spicy Crab & shrimp Tempura +$3, Black Dragon Eel +4, Ginger Salad with avocado +2, Total for the premium box is $38.95 plus tax.
