Keita N.

Their service was impeccable!! Entered with a kind greeting along with the menu being served right away, very easy to order. We ordered both chicken and shrimp tempura udon soups, non of which I've ever tried. The broth was SO flavorful and I appreciate the pickled radish and spices alongside it. The chicken was well cooked and very flavorful! Their food presentation was so neat and very picture worthy. Only con for the shrimp tempura was how thin the fish was, most of it being batter. I'd also wish the fish was served aside as it did become very soggy being served in the soup itself. The environment was clean and very spacious with nice lighting too. They also have a bathroom, well cleaned and kept up nicely. I'd definitely come back and try their sushi next. Thanks.

4 Roll Box

Got the 4 Roll Box for lunch and loved the careful packaging and freshness of the fish! Great option in the area for a quick grab and go meal. The shrimp tempura roll was my favorite. The box comes with ginger and edamame as sides as well :)

Salmon Sushi Roll Box for lunch yesterday. Again, it was packed so nicely.

I found this eatery via my MealPal app. I was skeptical at first, but I am so happy I gave it a try. First, the place is small, but they do have a nice seating area for about 10 to 16 peeps. The decor is very cute, too. Second, the service is great. On Tuesday, my 1st lunch pickup, it was packed and the lady apologized for the delay when she handed me the order. Yesterday, my order was ready the minute I walked in. This other lady behind the counter was friendly, too. Now the most important part, the sushi and rolls were delicious and fresh. They also give you a side of Edamame in the box. The points used for these lunches are higher than other places on the MealPal app, but it is so worth it! Can't wait to see what's on the menu for next week!!

This place is so beautiful! Clean and a good place to rest and eat your food in peace. Service is fast and the food is delicious! The spicy beef ramen was to die for!!!

This is a fast casual spot. The lady behind the counter taking your order also serves and buses tables. I ordered the udon with marinated beef bowl. They make the soup in house. The bowl took a little bit longer to make, but it came out piping hot. The beef was very tasty and not dry at all. The soup was delicious, maybe a tiny bit oily, but not going to stop me from enjoying it. The noodles were perfect. Minor note: They no longer serve ramen and the prices have increased since some of the older postings of menu. Regardless, I would definitely come back and try their sushi.

Omakase Box

Found my new lunch spot! Fresh sushi with a variety of made to order boxed meals or order a custom omakase Box. That's exactly what my friend and I did. I must've oogled everything and finally decided on a lunch set that included a spicy tuna roll, regular tuna roll and some sushi pieces. My friend got the omakase set, you can choose eight pieces of sushi you like. It's packed fresh on the spot based on your custom order. Some of the meals come with miso soup and/or a salad. Different price points based on your budget so definitely lots to choose from. There is some seating, only for single or two seaters. It's a small space but very efficient as far as placement of everything and the seating. There's tables and high tops but narrow. I'll definitely return to try more stuff. They accept card and cash.

Tuna Nigiri

This place recently opened up and i wanted to try out some of their menu items. I got some pork dumplings and a spicy tuna onigiri. The onigiri was very spicy and delicious. The dumplings were hot as they were made fresh. The filling was delicious and enough juice on it. The staff was very friendly and the inside was clean.

Spicy Tuna

This is a nice casual restaurant near Grand Central Terminal. Staff was friendly and service was quick! I ordered the Spicy Tuna Sushi Roll and Miso Soup. The sushi was flavorful but definitely not spicy. The soup was quite hearty and great for a winter day!

Stopped by for a quick bite. This place has really delicious sushi! 4 rolls plus salad in a nice bento box for $24 Also if you are in need of a light snack I suggest their onigiri which are packed with yummy shrimp, tuna or chicken for $6.50 each. It hit the spot for me! The staff is friendly and this place is clean with limited seating for those who want to stay to eat. They do have a bathroom for customers too. I would totally come back to try more of their rolls!

Spicy tuna and shrimp tempura

We stopped by here after painting at Shot of Art. This place is fairly new but not lacking any customers. What immediately jumped out were the sushi rolls with black rice. I'd never seen that before so I had to try it. We got the combo platter of shrimp tempura with black rice and spicy tuna. Tempura is.mh favorite sushi and it didn't skip a beat with the black rice. I'm going to look for sushi restaurants that make it like this. The tuna was indeed spicy, but not overpowering. The pork dumplings were tender and flavorful.

Very cute sushi/udon spot in New York. Fairly easy ordering (although many choices). Was wandering around looking for lunch and a sudden rsi storm drove me into this shop - glad it did!

Kellie D.

I had excellent takeout from this location. I ordered the sushi box and picked 9 pieces consisting of salmon, tuna and gold tuna (with gold leaf - pretty) with a seaweed salad. Everything was delicious and fresh and warranted the $29 price. Though a bit luxurious for my typical lunch, I really enjoyed the treat!

I've been to the Ichiran in East Williamsburg but found this location to be more hectic and touristy, naturally. You order on a tablet, pay (no tip), and then are directed to a seat by a welcoming host. Poor guy must have to repeat the same spiel a billion times a day. I just defaulted to Ichiran's suggested levels for everything which made it fast and easy. Once you're at your assigned cubbyhole, you can hang your coat up on the wall behind you and fill up your water cup at the machine also behind you. You don't even see the face of the person who brings out the ramen which gives the whole process a mysterious bank teller vibe. With all this, the classic tonkotsu ramen ($23) with slender noodles nearly gets overshadowed, but don't fret since it's fantastic. I believe when you're done, you just get up and leave. Surprisingly, one of the instructional posters does not go into this.

I came in with a party of 2 on a Thursday at 1pm. There was a line but the line went by quick. When you walk into the restaurant, you pre-order at the touchscreen to the right of the entrance and later when you're seated you give the order receipts to the server at your window. The food at this location is obviously going to be pricier than it is in Japan (came out to around $60 for 2 people), but it is SO worth it as you can't get Ichiran anywhere else besides in Japan.

I have a shrimp allergy and politely asked if the shrimp tempura could be substituted. The server immediately said no, without offering any alternative or showing much concern. He said I can remove it myself. I said so let the shrimp inside the bowl for me to remove? WTH. For a restaurant, especially one serving customizable ramen dishes, with a allergy list post on the wall by the counter where I sat at B1, a little flexibility or empathy toward food allergies would go a long way. The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, which made the overall dining experience uncomfortable. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and sadly this visit fell short. The smashed cucumber was good. Spicy dumpling was good. Ramen broth was light, not as rich or flavorful as others. There are so many good ramen places in NYC, this Chinese Ramen place has lot of room to improve.

First of all, I LOVE the ambience and the paper lantern decor here. Took me right back to those neon streets. The staff are polite and patient; one of them even picked up my phone for me after I dropped it mid-meal. During my trip, I was converted to a soba-lover, and while I don't think this is true soba here, they have "abura soba", what they describe as a "soupless ramen" (with a thicker noodle) which I was drawn to. I got the basic one with chashu, and my, it was DELICIOUS! I was so entranced I caught myself wanting to slightly bow with an "Arigatougozaimasu" and a "Gochisousama desu" on the way out! The noodles and the saucy base were DELICIOUS. My friend found it a bit oily, but I love thicker, richer ramen bases so I savored it. I did like they were playing Justin Bieber and the decor was cute. Looks like a quick spot for ramen and late night chill vibes, at 10:30pm on a Sunday night it definitely had a younger crowd.
