I've seen a lot of reviews on here claiming that this place is a SCAM and that it 100% true. If you want your children to be plugged into a safe environment and learn the industry, I would HIGHLY suggest taking classes elsewhere. Yes, there is going to be a little more effort on your part to find a better class but it is much better than taking classes from teachers who aren't professionals/certified in their craft. There might be others out there enrolling your kids in programs such as CPAC, or OHANAarts or even Diamond Head Theatre is a much better investment in your child's future. Susan Page also owns an agency, Hawaii's Best Model and Talent Agency and there are so many things that are requested by Rebecca (owner) that are NOT required by other agencies. Please do your research before you think about signing with her. Plus, when talking with her I can SMELL the alcohol on her breath. Why would I want my daughter around someone who is an obvious drunk. I've pulled my daughter from this agency and this school and she has been getting more jobs in the one year than the three years with this agency. What I was told after signing with my new agency is that they don't get all the jobs. Most of the jobs hit the big agencies first before they trickle down. My mother used to take classes from SusanPage and she says they are using the SAME curriculum for most of the classes which is ridiculous considering this is an industry that is always changing. This place is a scam, a ripoff, not worth the time or the money. At first Susan seemed very nice, but after just giving me a brief description about what the place was about she started talking about money. I got suckered in because I didn't realize after one payment of a couple hundred dollars there would be payments after payments after that!! WTF! When I went to send my pics in of my outfits by email she kept saying she couldn't see them & to have someone else take them of me (which I did) after trying 3 times she just didn't even emai back so when it came time to go in for my photoshoot I didn't know what to bring! I called them to ask & they told me just bring in a bunch of different outfits so I did. Turns out she couldn't see my pics because the SIZE of the pictures were too big -___- I told her why didn't she just tell me that I could've just changed the size! Her response was that she didn't know how to work computers very well. umm ok. The make up artist & photographer were very nice, however, when I went into my photoshoot I felt very disrespected by susan. I am an asian girl who has a bit darker skin and while we were doing my shoot it would only be the photographer & I, but in between my shoot they were always shooting another girl (she was very young, tall, caucasian & light skinned). When the other girl came in for her shoot Susan came into the room saying she just wanted to watch & how beautiful this girl was. When it came back to me she left the room. AM I THAT UGLY that you really just don't care? I know I'm not freakin gorgeous or anything, but damn, way to make a girl feel horrible about herself. The pictures came out and I hated all of them. I didn't feel pretty at all. I've had better shoots with people who don't take all my money. When I went in to meet up with Premier models & talents the lady didn't even look at me, she just went through the contract & sent me on my way. The most HORRIBLE experience here. I just graduated the MUA class a few weeks ago, I have to say i very pleased with the classes. I have been doing makeup on my own for 3 years and I am finally certified. Toni our instructor really helped me learn more than I thought I knew. She was very patient and made sure she helped every one of us. The one thing I loved with this class is the extra help with offer..Toni along with Nathalie who also helped with a couple classes offered us to help with fashion shows, photo shoots etc. It was nice to get out and practice more hands on. The only down part I have to say was the makeup kit it's self. It was very poor and small. I thought there would be a little more. It came with- A few eye shadows 7 piece brush set (very limited) Blush Bronzer Lip gloss Lipsticks Eye liner Just your very basic to get started. It also came with the motives cosmetics bag. I guess this agency is good if you don't mind paying the agency hundreds of dollars for comp cards and portfolios. They have classes for modeling and make up so I guess there is that side. So, my boyfriend and I went to an open casting call. What struck me was that they were telling everyone who wanted to model that they had to shell out a couple hundred dollars for a portfolio so they can send them to agencies. Okay, from my little experience in the field, one should never fork money over. It's like a job, if the agency likes you, they will invest, albeit minimally, to get your face on stuff. You do free shoots for the free pictures, etc etc. I was just really disappointed. I felt like I walked into a time share sales presentation. I felt sad that there were some parents with kids who were being swindled and you knew they would never be asked to be in a shoot. read more

I am a recent graduate of the Make Up Artist (MUA) Program and I can't explained how much fun I had. That's how it should be! Even though it's a school on makeup, I certainly did not feel like I was in school, I was and continue to pursue a life passion. This is a 10-week program. SPM provides a starter kit on the first day of class. You attend once a week and practice a different skill each week. For the last 5 weeks or so, you need to bring your own model to practice these techniques. Toni Farley is a wonderful teacher! She gives each student her focus and attention so that no one falls behind. I was really nervous about not getting each lesson, (I am still practicing) but it is a worry-free place of learning and have nothing to worry about. The program ends with a photo shoot to document all that you have learned in a 10-week duration. It's amazing to see all of my hard work on print! Additionally, I love how us students were given learning opportunities before we even graduated! Hands-on experience with fashion shows, photoshoots, and film sets. I hope to continue to learn and grow as a MUA. SPM has really set me up with foundation to become great, and the connections to go farther in this already saturated industry. Thank you! read more

Average Joe needs to step in and have a say. Staff are great- friendly and all smiles as it is their job to show confidence, assurance and great manners. The staff is always with an answer or a kind word. Presence- They are out in the community and bring in people all ages. I saw them at the Kids Day Fair at the Capital and they are ready and willing to share what it is that they do, they are very upfront that this costs this and this is our feature or this is our promotion. I do disagree with the other yelpers posts that were negative as my experience is that the agency as a whole is up front about what the services are.... Location- honestly, you can't do much better than having a great catwalk the has a view of the ocean and the top of Ala Moana mall. I took the Susanpage modeling & etiquette classes at 13 in Maui...by 16 I was working runway in Honolulu and on a magazine cover...since then, I've been in commercials for Cocacola, Taco Bell, Wet & Wild Waterpark, and Oceanic Time Warner, been in calanders, bikini spreads, and small independent films...what you have to understand about this industry is that it's not easy! And you cannot just be pretty - you've gotta really have a lifestyle that allows health, fitness, flexibility, timeliness, communication, and good self marketing skills...and even more important you have to be cool with the punches cause you hear no a lot! So , that being said, Susanpage did a lot to prepare me for the TALENT LIFESTYLE that most agencies don't teach you...it's up to you to take your learning and put it to use...I still use the basic skin care and makeup daily and the runway basics saved me embarrassment that other girls had when the real jobs came around! Even beyond modeling, the womanhood confidence I gained from this program opened up many doors for me simply by enhancing my presence... Great way to get into the business! read more

Also they have many events that my son can attend, so they build good skills of "being on stage" and "be confident". Also they have exclusive talent scout through Talent Inc, and now my son has not only Hawaii Agency but also mainland Agency to work with. I keep going back because the teachers are fabulous and are eager to share their skills and experience. Also the staff is very nice and helpful. What I love is that we get to apprentice at real photo shoots with professional photographers and make up artists. I am now enrolled in the hair class they just started to offer. We first signed my son up with Susan Page Modeling (SPM) about 3 years ago but never pursued anything as far as acting or modeling went. We never took him to an audition or casting call because honestly, who really thinks that these dreams are even possible? Then, in September 2015, we received an invitation from SPM about Mr. Scott Cooper of Talent Inc. who'd be in Honolulu doing a free audition workshop. Well, "workshop" to me means that he'd give pointers and tips on how to audition. Since it was free and we had no prior plans for the day he'd be here, I RSVP'd and said we'd attend. Little did I know that it was an actual audition! He had the performers record a commercial scene, walk the runway, etc. At the end of the workshop, we were told that they'd be calling us to let us know if the performers would be selected to go to the Talent Showcase in Orlando in March 2016. My son was SO excited because he really wanted to go to Orlando (Harry Potter opened at Universal Studios in Florida, Mom! Let's GO!) "Great!" I thought. Why couldn't they have said the Showcase would be in Iowa or some such place that he'd never want to go to so his dreams wouldn't have to be dashed to pieces when he's not chosen. Later that afternoon, my phone rings and I just know what they're going to say. "Thank you so much for attending our workshop" and "We hope that he continues to practice..." and "have a nice day". So, when the words "Congratulations! We loved him! He's going to Florida!" reached my ears, all I could say was "What? Are you sure you have the right number? My son's name is... Are you sure that's who you're calling about?" From then on, SPM provided extensive training for the performers that were selected to go the Talent Showcase. They were taught techniques on Runway, Photography, Improv, TV Commercial, Film Scene, among others. Ms. Rebecca and Ms. Vianca worked so hard with all of Team Hawaii and when they went to Orlando the first week of March 2016, they were shining stars! I'm so proud to say that my son was awarded a scholarship to the UK being held in October 2016 for his "outstanding performance", along with 2 others from our Team Hawaii. He received 14 agent callbacks and is currently being offered to sign with 2 of them. This all happened within 2 weeks of us returning from Florida. In all, 5 of our Team Hawaii group took home big awards. SPM, along with Talent Inc., has put my son on the map and is allowing him to pursue his dream of one day becoming an actor. Ms. Rebecca and Ms. Vianca are top-notch and I'd recommend them and SPM any day. They've even shown a skeptic like me that dreams are within your reach! read more

I do not like this agency, payed about $700-$800 for this and was totally not worth it! My daughter had said the classes weren't great and she didn't learn much plus the teacher was a bit rude & annoying. I cant believe i actually wasted my money on that.. Well anyways she went to take the photoshoot everyone was nice but the photos didn't even come out too great and after that there was still more paying to do, like $80 for a damn card and thats not worth it because she might not even be called in to model! One of my friends had told me to not get my daughter into that agency because it wasn't worth it but i didn't listen. So im just very upset. read more

My girls, 8 and 11 when we started, are a couple of jocks. I'm also not the kind of mom who ever does glamour or hair. I signed my girls up for the preteen class and I was very happy with the outcome. They learned etiquette and self-awareness. They connected with their teachers and couldn't wait to go. I later signed them up for the actors workshop and they were very excited to learn about the business of filmmaking. My oldest now wants to be a director and has begun to write scripts. She even joined her school's TV production club. My youngest scolds me about my own etiquette, LOL! The agency had to push the schedule/start date back a few times, but when I had to postpone the schedule myself, they were totally willing to work with me. I did take my girls on a few casting calls with no job offers, but the experience of interviewing, confidence, and perseverance is priceless to me. Im a former student at "susan page modeling" and i have to say i LOVED it... before attending any makeup classes i did my research, found three schools. "hawaii makeup artistry" which is a 5 week course, that my friends didnt think to highly of. "Bella torre" which was to expensive of a course... Than i found "susan page modeling". it was perfect... 10 week course and so affordable... Toni P. Farley who has been in the industry for more than ten years was my instructor and she was amazing... Learned so much about makeup, application, sanitation, doing different types of makeup for certain types of jobs(photo shoots, weddings, fashion show, etc.) She prepared me for the industry... Not only did i learn about makeup i was introduced to many other amazing seasoned makeup artist through Toni P. Farley... Granted the program did not include a makeup kit i was able to gain a lot of product knowledge while putting my kit together that Toni help me do ( i think they offer one now) ... I have to say that "Susan page modeling" makeup classes are great for beginners who are looking to learn how to apply makeup on themselves to people who want to make this a career... I totally recommend taking the course... The oppurtunity through "susan page modeling" is limitless... But it will not be handed to you... read more
